Description
いくつかの実施形態では、天然のポゾランは、約1wt%~約99wt%、たとえば、約10wt%~約90wt%、約30wt%~約70wt%、約40wt%~約60wt%、又は約60wt%~約70wt%の濃度で存在する。
天然のポゾランは、ポゾラン火山灰、たとえば、(限定されるものではないが)テフラ、凝灰岩、プミサイトもしくは軽石(これ以降ではまとめて「軽石」と呼ぶ)、又はパーライトから得られるポゾランでありうる。いくつかの実施形態では、天然のポゾランは、軽石、パーライト、メタカオリン、珪藻土、イグニンブライト、仮焼シェール、仮焼クレー、及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される。他の副産物ポゾラン、たとえば、シリカヒューム、スリガラス、ガラス状アルミノケイ酸カルシウム、及び高シリカ分クラスFフライアッシュもまた、レメディエーション剤又は選鉱剤として使用しうる。特定の状況下では、粉砕された水砕高炉スラグもまた、低品質ノンスペックフライアッシュを強化又は改善してASTM C618を満たすフライアッシュにするためにレメディエーション剤又は選鉱剤として使用しうる。

クラスCフライアッシュ又は認証不能なフライアッシュと天然のポゾラン(又は他のポゾラン)とを組み合わせることにより、クラスFフライアッシュを作製する工程と
を含む、方法を提供する。
特に指示がないかぎり、本明細書及び特許請求の範囲で使用される反応条件、濃度、収率などを表す数はすべて、いずれの場合も、「約」という用語により修飾されるものと理解すべきである。したがって、相反する指示がない限り、以下の本明細書及び添付の特許請求の範囲に示される数値パラメータは、少なくとも具体的な分析技術に依存して変化しうる近似値である。いずれの数値も、その各試験測定値に見られる標準偏差から必然的に生じる特定の誤差を本質的に含む。

認証又は非認証のクラスCフライアッシュを提供する工程と、
天然のポゾラン又は他のポゾランを提供する工程と、
クラスCフライアッシュと天然のポゾラン又は他のポゾランとを組み合わせて、クラスFフライアッシュを作製する工程と
を含む、方法を提供する。
(実施例)
これらの実施例では、天然のポゾラン又は他のポゾランと組み合わされたフライアッシュを含む、多種多様なポゾラン組成物がセメント系材料用として実験的に評価される。多くの供給源のフライアッシュ及び多くのポゾラン剤が試験された。
フライアッシュ供給源1=クラスFフライアッシュ、米国西部
フライアッシュ供給源2=ノンスペックフライアッシュ、オクラホマ州
フライアッシュ供給源3=ノンスペックフライアッシュ、コロラド州
フライアッシュ供給源4=クラスCフライアッシュ、テキサス州
フライアッシュ供給源5=クラスCフライアッシュ、ミズーリ州
クラスFフライアッシュが試験された。本発明を用いて、1種の現在ASTM C618の認証を受けているFアッシュ(供給源1)がレメディエート又は強化された。また、他のレメディエート、変換、及び強化された認証可能なFアッシュを現在認証されているFアッシュと比較するために、認証されたフライアッシュが対照として使用された。
・軽石(325メッシュを90%通過する)
・軽石(325メッシュを100%通過する)
・軽石(3マイクロメートル(3ミクロン) - 2つの独立した供給源、供給源No.1及び2)
・メタカオリン
・珪藻土
・シリカヒューム
・イグニンブライト
・粉砕された水砕高炉スラグ(スラグ)
・ガラス状アルミノケイ酸カルシウム材料、粉砕廃棄ガラス
サンプルはすべて、セメントがセメント系材料の60%を占める混合物になるように調製した。試験レジメンは、製品差別化が強化された標準的セメントスラリー混合物設計(骨材なし)を利用した。約18℃で水とポゾラン組成物+セメントとが混合された。周囲温度、約21℃(水浴)、又は約38℃で混合物が硬化された。周囲温度では、1、7、及び28日間の硬化時間後に測定が行われた。
Claims (14)
- コンクリート用ポゾラン組成物において、前記ポゾラン組成物はノンスペックフライアッシュと粉砕された水砕高炉スラグとからなり、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグは1~99重量%の濃度で存在し、前記ノンスペックフライアッシュと粉砕された水砕高炉スラグとを組み合わせることによって、前記ポゾラン組成物がコンクリート中のポゾラン混合物としてASTM C618及びAASHTO M295においてクラスFポゾランの要件を満たすことに帰着する、コンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグは10~90重量%の濃度で存在する、請求項1に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグと前記ノンスペックフライアッシュとの重量比は、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグの重量部を前記ノンスペックフライアッシュの重量部で割った値として0.01~100である、請求項1に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグと前記ノンスペックフライアッシュとの重量比は、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグの重量部を前記ノンスペックフライアッシュの重量部で割った値として0.1~10である、請求項1に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記ポゾラン組成物は、コンクリートでのポゾラン組成物の水必要量を調整するための添加剤をさらに含有する、請求項1に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物を含むセメント系混合物。
- 骨材と請求項6に記載のセメント系混合物とを含むコンクリート製品又は構造物、又はそれらの反応生成物を含んでなる、コンクリート製品又は構造物。
- コンクリート用ポゾラン組成物において、前記ポゾラン組成物はノンスペックフライアッシュと粉砕された水砕高炉スラグとからなり、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグは1~99重量%の濃度で存在し、前記ノンスペックフライアッシュと粉砕された水砕高炉スラグとを組み合わせることによって、前記ポゾラン組成物において、コンクリート中のポゾラン混合物としてASTM C618及びAASHTO M295においてクラスCポゾランの要件を満たすことに帰着する、コンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグは10~90重量%の濃度で存在する、請求項8に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグと前記ノンスペックフライアッシュとの重量比は、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグの重量部を前記ノンスペックフライアッシュの重量部で割った値として0.01~100である、請求項8に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグと前記ノンスペックフライアッシュとの重量比は、前記粉砕された水砕高炉スラグの重量部を前記ノンスペックフライアッシュの重量部で割った値として0.1~10である、請求項10に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 前記ポゾラン組成物は、コンクリートでのポゾラン組成物の水必要量を調整するための添加剤をさらに含有する、請求項8に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物。
- 請求項8に記載のコンクリート用ポゾラン組成物を含むセメント系混合物。
- 骨材と請求項13に記載のセメント系混合物とを含むコンクリート製品又は構造物、又はそれらの反応生成物を含んでなる、コンクリート製品又は構造物。
