Claims (6)
- エンジンから排気管を通じて排気された排気ガスを浄化する排気装置であって、
前記排気管の下流側に排気ガスの膨張室を形成するチャンバと、
前記膨張室を第1の膨張室及び第2の膨張室に仕切る隔壁と、
前記排気管の下流端から前記第2の膨張室に入り込む導入管と、
前記第2の膨張室において前記導入管の途中に介在された触媒と、を備え、
前記隔壁には、前記導入管の出口を前記第1の膨張室に連ねる第1の開口と、前記第1の膨張室を前記第2の膨張室に連ねる第2の開口と、が形成され、前記第1の膨張室側から見て前記第2の開口が前記触媒に重なっていることを特徴とする排気装置。 - 前記隔壁は、前記膨張室を車幅方向に隣接した前記第1の膨張室及び前記第2の膨張室に仕切っており、
前記第2の開口は前記第1の開口よりも前方に位置し、前記第2の開口の面積が前記第1の開口の面積よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気装置。 - 前記隔壁には、前記第1の開口を挟んで前記第2の開口の逆側に、前記第1の膨張室と前記第2の膨張室を連ねる第3の開口が形成され、
前記第3の開口の面積は前記第2の開口の面積よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の排気装置。 - 前記第2の膨張室から排気ガスを外部に排出する導出管を備え、
前記導出管の入口が前記第2の膨張室において前記触媒の設置個所よりも下流側に位置していることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の排気装置。 - 前記チャンバの外壁には、前記第1の開口から前記第2の開口に向かう方向に前記第1の膨張室を拡張する膨出部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の排気装置。
- 前記チャンバの外壁には、前記第1の開口から前記第1の膨張室に入り込んだ排気ガスを前記第2の開口に導く斜面が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の排気装置。
