Description
様々な例示的な実施形態に記載されるように、本明細書では、携帯型電気刺激装置が説明される。例示的な実施形態は、説明の便宜上、携帯型電気刺激装置に関して説明されているが、説明された技術は、非携帯型又は固定式電気刺激装置に適用することができる。
特定の実施形態では、マイクロコントローラ205は、複数の強度レベルのうちの1つで電気信号を生成するように構成される。各レベルは、少なくとも周波数、ピーク電圧、及び/又は電流を含むパラメータによって規定することができる。特定の実施形態では、マイクロコントローラ205は、以下の表1によって規定されるパラメータを有する5つのレベルのうちの1つを選択できるように構成されてもよい。
携帯型電気刺激装置100は、複数の異なる使用モードで使用してよい。図1Bは、2つの電極105がユーザ110の皮膚に適用される使用モードの特定の実施形態を示す。第1の使用モードでは、携帯型電気刺激装置100の使用時間を通して、電極105をユーザ110における固定位置に配置してよい。第2の使用モードでは、電極105の第1の電極を固定位置に配置する一方で、ユーザ110又は別のユーザが、電極105の第2の電極をユーザ110の身体の部位上で移動させてよい。特定の実施形態では、ユーザ110は、電極105を自らの身体上に配置してよい。電極105にクリームを塗布することができるため、ユーザ110が携帯型電気刺激装置100に触れて、携帯型電気刺激装置100によって生成される電気信号の現在適用されているレベルを調整することは、望ましくない可能性がある。上記のように、携帯型電気刺激装置100は、携帯型電気刺激装置100を操作するためにユーザ110から音声コマンドを受信するように構成可能なマイクロフォン250及び音声認識システム(例えば、マイクロコントローラ205によって実装されてよい)を含み得る。したがって、ユーザ110は、ユーザ110が電極105を位置決めしている間に、携帯型電気刺激装置100のレベルを調整するか、又は携帯型電気刺激装置100に他のコマンドを入力することができる。

Claims (19)
- 携帯型電気刺激装置であって、
電気信号を提供するように構成された波形信号生成器と、
前記電気信号に基づいて刺激パルスを出力するように構成された一対の電極と、を含み、
前記波形信号生成器はさらに、複数のレベルのうちの1つで前記電気信号を生成するように構成され、複数のレベルのそれぞれは、少なくとも周波数、ピーク電圧及びピーク電流によって規定され、
前記レベルのそれぞれについて、
前記周波数は、50Hz~500Hzの範囲にあり、
前記ピーク電圧は、40V~250Vの範囲にあり、
前記ピーク電流は、25mA~150mAの範囲にあり、
前記周波数と前記ピーク電圧は、前記周波数が減少するにつれて前記ピーク電圧が概ね増加し、前記周波数が増加するにつれて前記ピーク電圧が概ね減少するという略反比例の関係にある携帯型電気刺激装置。 - 前記波形信号生成器がさらに、厳密に正の電圧を有する波形信号を生成するように構成される請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記波形信号生成器がさらに、
実質的に等しい正のパルス幅を有する波形信号を生成し、
前記波形信号の中性パルス幅を変更することにより、前記各レベルの周波数を調整するように構成される請求項1の携帯型電気刺激装置。 - 前記波形信号生成器がさらに、
第1のレベルから第1のレベルとは異なる第2のレベルに移行するコマンドを受信し、
前記受信したコマンドに応答して、波形信号の前記ピーク電圧を前記第2のレベルに関連する前記ピーク電圧まで徐々に増加させるように構成される請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。 - 前記波形信号生成器が、前記波形信号生成器の出力と直列に配置された電流制限器を含む請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記電流制限器が、抵抗要素及び/又は負の温度係数(NTC)サーミスタを含む請求項5に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記波形信号生成器が、前記電極に有線又は無線で接続される請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電極は、ユーザに適用される第1の強度レベルを有する前記刺激パルスに応答してユーザの反応を感知するように構成された1つ以上のセンサを含み、前記波形信号生成器が、前記感知されたユーザの反応に基づいて、前記電気信号のレベルを前記第1の強度レベルとは異なる第2の強度レベルに自動的に調整するように構成される請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記波形信号生成器が、前記第1の強度レベルを有する刺激パルスにユーザが不快感を覚えていることを示す前記感知されたユーザの反応に応答して、前記電気信号のレベルを前記第1の強度レベルよりも低い前記第2の強度レベルに自動的に調整するように構成される請求項8に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電極が、ユーザに適用される第1の強度レベルを有する前記刺激パルスに応答してユーザのインピーダンスを感知するように構成された1つ以上のセンサを含み、前記波形信号生成器が、前記感知されたユーザのインピーダンスに基づいて、前記電気信号のレベルを前記第1の強度レベルとは異なる第2の強度レベルに自動的に調整するように構成される、請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
- 前記波形信号生成器が、所定の期間、前記第1の強度レベルを有する前記刺激パルスによる前記ユーザの反応を感知しない前記1つ以上のセンサに応答して、前記電気信号のレベルを前記第1の強度レベルよりも高い前記第2の強度レベルに自動的に調整するように構成される、請求項10に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。

- 前記波形信号生成器がさらに、身体負荷がないときに、前記周波数の328Hzから60Hzへの減少に応答して、92Vから210Vに増加するように前記ピーク電圧を生成するように構成される請求項1に記載の携帯型電気刺激装置。
