Description
粒界相の最大径を1μm以下にした上でアスペクト比を1.5以下にすることができる。これにより、高速回転に強い粒界相とすることができる。
(実施例1~6および比較例1~2)
窒化珪素粉末として平均粒径が1μmであるα型粉末を用意した。次に、焼結助剤粉末として表1に示すものを用意した。
このような方法により、各実施例および比較例に係る窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材を作製した。
実施例3の接合ツール部材に対し、表6に示す表面粗さとなるように表面研磨加工を実施した。表面粗さの測定方法は実施例3と同様である。

Claims (10)
- 窒化珪素焼結体から成る摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材であって、
前記窒化珪素焼結体は窒化珪素以外の添加成分を含有すると共に、前記添加成分はランタノイド元素から選択される少なくとも1種を金属単体換算で1~10質量%含有し、
前記窒化珪素焼結体にβ-窒化珪素結晶粒子とα-サイアロン結晶粒子との両方が存在し、
ランタノイド元素-Hf-O結晶化合物、ランタノイド元素-Al-O結晶化合物、ランタノイド元素-Hf-Al-O結晶化合物、のいずれか1種が主体となる粒界相を有し、
前記窒化珪素焼結体のビッカース硬度は、1590HV以上であり、
前記窒化珪素焼結体の粒界相の最大径が1μm以下であり、
前記窒化珪素焼結体の粒界相のアスペクト比が1.5以下である、
ことを特徴とする窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。 - 前記ランタノイド元素は、Yb、Er、Lu、Ceから選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- Mg、Ti、Hf、Moから選択される少なくとも1種は、金属単体換算で0.1~5質量%含有することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- Al、Si、Cから選択される1種または2種以上を、単体換算で0.1~10質量%、含有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- 前記窒化珪素焼結体の組織の単位面積5μm×5μmについて、個々の粒界相のランタノイド元素の濃度分布をTEM分析により分析したとき、個々の粒界相のランタノイド元素濃度のばらつきが平均値に対して±20%以内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- 前記窒化珪素焼結体は大気中1200℃で100時間保持した後の酸化増量が表面積1cm2当り10×10-5wt%/cm2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- 前記窒化珪素焼結体の摩擦面の表面粗さRaが5μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材。
- 請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の窒化珪素焼結体製摩擦攪拌接合用ツール部材を搭載したことを特徴とする摩擦攪拌接合装置。
- 2以上の被接合材を重ね合わせ、摩擦攪拌接合用ツールを回転速度300rpm以上で回転させながら被接合材に押し当てることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の摩擦攪拌接合装置を用いた摩擦攪拌接合方法。
- 前記被接合材が、鉄鋼であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の摩擦攪拌接合方法。
