Description
A.ナイフ(50)であって、
切断縁部(60)と、
固定縁部(70)と、
当該切断縁部を当該固定縁部に接続する複数の梁要素(80)であって、当該梁要素の各々が、当該切断縁部から20度~80度それて配向された梁要素範囲(100)を有し、各当該梁要素が、剛性低減ゾーン(90)によって隣接する梁要素から分離され、各剛性低減ゾーンが、当該切断縁部から20度~80度それて配向された剛性低減ゾーン範囲(130)を有する、複数の梁要素と、を備える、ナイフ。
B.当該梁要素範囲が、当該切断縁部から約30度~約60度それて配向されている、段落Aのナイフ。
C.当該梁要素が、当該固定縁部よりも当該切断縁部により近い、段落A又はBに記載のナイフ。
D.当該剛性低減ゾーンがスロット(190)である、段落A~Cのいずれか一項に記載のナイフ。
E.当該梁要素が、当該梁要素範囲に対して直交する梁要素幅(150)と、当該梁要素範囲に沿う梁要素長さ(160)と、を有し、当該梁要素が、梁要素長さ対梁要素幅の比が、約2~約40である、段落A~Dのいずれか一項に記載のナイフ。
F.当該剛性低減ゾーンが、当該剛性低減ゾーン範囲に対して直交する剛性低減ゾーン幅(170)と、当該剛性低減ゾーン範囲に沿う剛性低減ゾーン長さ(180)を有し、当該剛性低減ゾーンが、約2~約40の剛性低減ゾーン長さ対剛性低減ゾーン幅の比を有する、段落A~Eのいずれか一項に記載のナイフ。
G.当該切断縁部が、長手方向軸(L)を画定し、当該ナイフが、当該切断縁部と当該長手方向軸に対して直交する当該固定縁部との間にz軸(z)を有し、当該梁要素が、梁要素厚さ(200)を有し、当該剛性低減ゾーンが、剛性低減ゾーン厚さ(210)を有し、その両方が、当該長手方向軸及び当該z軸によって画定される平面に対して直交する方向にあり、当該梁要素厚さが、当該剛性低減ゾーン厚さよりも大きい、段落A~Fのいずれか一項に記載のナイフ。
H.当該梁要素が、梁要素の弾性率を有し、当該剛性低減ゾーンが、剛性低減ゾーンの弾性率を有し、当該梁要素の弾性率が、当該剛性低減ゾーンの弾性率よりも大きい、段落A~Gのいずれか一項に記載のナイフ。
I.段落A~Jのいずれか一項に記載のナイフでウェブ(10)を切断するプロセスであって、
ウェブ(10)を提供する工程と、
プレス機(30)上に取り付けられた当該ナイフを提供する工程と、
アンビル(40)を提供する工程であって、当該アンビルは、当該ウェブがアンビルと当該プレス機との間を通過する際、当該ウェブを支持する、アンビル(40)を提供する工程と、
当該ウェブが当該プレス機と当該アンビルとの間を通過する際、当該ウェブを当該ナイフで切断する工程と、を含む、プロセス。
J.当該プレス機が、機械方向(machine direction、MD)に回転する回転プレス機であり、当該ナイフが、当該機械方向に対して直交する当該回転プレス機の横断方向(cross direction、CD)に取り付けられ、
当該アンビルが、当該回転プレス機と逆に回転する回転アンビルである、段落Iに記載のプロセス。
K.当該ナイフが、当該プレス機に対して垂直から10度以内に取り付けられている、段落I又はJに記載のプロセス。
L.段落A~Iのいずれか一項に記載のナイフでウェブを切断するための装置(10)であって、
機械方向(MD)及び当該機械方向に対して直交する横断方向(CD)を有する回転プレス機(30)と、
回転アンビル(40)と、
ナイフとを備え、当該ナイフは、当該回転プレス機と当該回転アンビルとの間に位置付けられ、当該切断縁部が当該横断方向に配向された状態で当該回転プレス機に取り付けられている、装置。
Claims (11)
- ウェブ(10)を切断するプロセスであって、
機械方向(MD)において互いに接続された水溶性単位用量パウチ(220)のウェブ(10)を提供する工程と、
回転プレス機(30)上に取り付けられたナイフ(50)を提供する工程とを備え、
前記ナイフ(50)は、
切断縁部(60)と、
固定縁部(70)と、
前記切断縁部を前記固定縁部に接続する複数の梁要素(80)であって、前記梁要素の各々が、前記切断縁部から20度~80度それて配向された梁要素範囲(100)を有し、各前記梁要素が、剛性低減ゾーン(90)によって隣接する梁要素から分離され、各剛性低減ゾーンが、前記切断縁部から20度~80度それて配向された剛性低減ゾーン範囲(130)を有する、複数の梁要素と、を備え、
前記切断縁部が、長手方向軸(L)を画定し、
前記ナイフが、前記切断縁部と前記長手方向軸に対して直交する前記固定縁部との間にz軸(z)を有し、
前記梁要素が、梁要素厚さ(200)を有し、前記剛性低減ゾーンが、剛性低減ゾーン厚さ(210)を有し、
その両方が、前記長手方向軸及び前記z軸によって画定される平面に対して直交する方向にあり、
前記梁要素厚さが、前記剛性低減ゾーン厚さよりも大きく、
さらに、前記プロセスが、
ポケット(45)を有するアンビル(40)を提供する工程であって、
前記水溶性単位用量パウチのウェブが、前記アンビルと前記プレス機との間のニップ(20)を通過する際、前記アンビル(40)が、前記水溶性単位用量パウチを受け入れるポケット(45)を有する、アンビル(40)を提供する工程と、
前記ウェブが前記プレス機と前記アンビルとの間を通過する際、前記水溶性単位用量パウチの前記ウェブを前記ナイフで切断する工程とを備える、プロセス。 - 前記梁要素範囲が、前記切断縁部から30度~60度それて配向されている、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記梁要素が、前記固定縁部よりも前記切断縁部に近い、請求項1又は2に記載のプロセス。
- 前記剛性低減ゾーンが、スロット(190)である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記切断縁部が、端部から端部まで配置されかつ互いに一体になって配置された複数の梁要素によって、前記固定縁部に接続されている、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記梁要素が、湾曲している、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記梁要素が、前記梁要素範囲に対して直交する梁要素幅(150)と、前記梁要素範囲に沿う梁要素長さ(160)と、を有し、前記梁要素が、2~40の梁要素長さ対梁要素幅の比を有する、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記剛性低減ゾーンが、前記剛性低減ゾーン範囲に対して直交する剛性低減ゾーン幅(170)と、前記剛性低減ゾーン範囲に沿う剛性低減ゾーン長さ(180)と、を有し、前記剛性低減ゾーンが、2~40の剛性低減ゾーン長さ対剛性低減ゾーン幅の比を有する、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記梁要素が、梁要素の弾性率を有し、前記剛性低減ゾーンが、剛性低減ゾーンの弾性率を有し、前記梁要素の弾性率が、前記剛性低減ゾーンの弾性率よりも大きい、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記回転プレス機が、機械方向(MD)に回転し、
前記ナイフが、前記機械方向に対して直交する前記回転プレス機の横断方向(CD)に取り付けられ、
前記アンビルが、前記回転プレス機と逆に回転する回転アンビルである、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。 - 前記ナイフが、前記プレス機に対して垂直から10度以内に取り付けられている、請求項10に記載のプロセス。
