Claims (9)
- ペーシングガイドワイヤであって、
その外径が0.36mm(約0.014インチ)から0.97mm(約0.038インチ)の範囲にある細長い本体であって、前記細長い本体は、前記ぺーシングガイドワイヤの近位端部分から前記ぺーシングガイドワイヤの遠位端部分まで延びるとともに前記近位端部分と遠位端部分との間に中間部分を有し、前記細長い本体は、細長い治療器具のオーバー・ザ・ワイヤ(OTW)の送り出しを前記細長い本体の前記近位端部分と中間部分にわたって誘導すると共に支援するように構成され、前記遠位端部分は540°以上にわたって曲がるピグテール形状の予備形成されたバイアス形状を含み、この予備形成されたバイアス形状は前記ペーシングガイドワイヤの遠位端部分の先端に向かって遠位方向に延びている前記細長い本体と、
前記予備形成されたバイアス形状上に間隔を置いて設けられた少なくとも第1の電極と第2の電極であって、前記細長い本体が患者の心臓への細長い治療器具のオーバー・ザ・ワイヤ(OTW)の送り出しを支援している間、前記第1の電極はペーシング中に患者の心臓の心室壁から離れた位置にあり、且つ、前記第2の電極はペーシング中に患者の心臓の心室壁と接触する位置にあり、前記電極のうちの一方は、アノードとしての役目を果たし、前記他方の電極は、カソードとしての役目を果たし、患者の心臓への前記細長い治療器具のOTWの送り出しを支援している間に、患者の心臓に時間間隔のあるパルスを送り出すように構成された前記第1の電極と第2の電極と、を有し、
前記細長い本体は、近位端部分から前記第1の電極に電気的に接続された遠位端部分まで延びる第1の細長い導体と、前記第1の細長い導体から絶縁されていて、近位端部分から前記第2の電極に電気的に接続された遠位端部分まで延びる第2の細長い導体とを有する、ペーシングガイドワイヤ。 - 前記第2の細長い導体に電気的に接続された第3および第4の電極を更に有する、請求項1記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記第2、前記第3および前記第4の電極の各々は、円筒形の形をしていて、前記カソードとしての役目を果たし、前記第2、前記第3および前記第4の電極の長さの合計は、15mm以下である、請求項2記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記第2の電極は、5cm~10cm(両端の値を含む)の長さにわたって軸方向に延びる非円筒形でストリップ状の形をしている、請求項1又は2に記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記第1および前記第2の細長い導体のうちの少なくとも一方は、電気的に接続された2つまたは3つ以上の構造体で形成されている、請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記2つまたは3つ以上の構造体は、コアワイヤの形態をした第1の構造体およびらせんコイルの形態をした第2の構造体を含む、請求項5記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記細長い本体の前記近位端部分に取り外し可能に結合可能でありかつ前記第1および前記第2の細長い導体の前記近位端部分に電気的に結合可能であるコネクタ本体を更に有する、請求項1乃至6の何れか1項に記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記コネクタ本体は、前記第1の細長い導体に電気的に結合可能な第1の末端と前記第2の細長い導体に電気的に結合可能な第2の末端との間にシール部材を有する、請求項7記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
- 前記コネクタ本体は、前記第1および前記第2の細長い導体に電気的に結合された第1および第2のパルス発生器コネクタ部分を有し、前記パルス発生器コネクタ部分は、各導体の極性の識別が可能であるように色分けされている、請求項7又は8に記載のペーシングガイドワイヤ。
