Description
1つまたは両方の目的は、ポリマーコーティングされた3ピース缶本体用ブリキを製造するプロセスであって、
以下の工程:
-ブリキをストリップの形態で準備する工程;
-押出によって1個または2個のポリマーフィルムを製造する工程;
-前記1個または2個の押出ポリマーフィルムを、スリット手段を使用して長手方向にスリットし、少なくともN個(ここで、Nが2以上である。)の広幅のポリマーフィルムストリップと、(N-1)個の狭幅のポリマーフィルムストリップとを得る工程;
-排出手段により、前記狭幅のポリマーストリップを前記広幅のポリマーストリップから引き離す工程;
-前記ブリキを予熱し、続いて、ニップロールアセンブリ(nip-roll assembly)によって、前記広幅のポリマーフィルムストリップを前記予熱されたブリキ上にコーティングして、複数のポリマーフィルムストリップでポリマーコーティングされたブリキを取得する工程であって、前記複数のポリマーフィルムストリップが、前記ポリマーフィルムが存在しない狭幅のストリップにより長手方向で空間的に分離されており、前記ブリキの末端が、前記ポリマーフィルムが存在しない状態に維持されている工程;
-後熱装置中で前記ポリマーコーティングされたブリキを、前記1個または2個のポリマーフィルムの融点を超える温度に、あるいは、前記ポリマーフィルムが多層システムである場合は、多層システム中で最も溶融温度が高いポリマーフィルム層の融点を超える温度に後熱する工程;
-前記後熱されたポリマーコーティングされたブリキを急冷する工程
を含むプロセスによって達成される。
ここで、本発明を、以下の図面を参照することによってさらに説明する。
・IPA-PET:約3モル%のテレフタル酸モノマーユニットが、イソフタル酸モノマーユニットで置換されたポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)コポリマー
・PETg:約30モル%のエチレングリコールモノマーユニットが、シクロヘキサン-ジメタノールモノマーユニットで置換されたポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)コポリマー
・PBT:ポリ(ブチレンテレフタレート)ホモポリマー
・TiO2MB:TiO2およびCHDM-PETの50/50重量%混合物
Claims (11)
- ポリマーコーティングされた3ピース缶本体用ブリキ(1)を製造する方法であって、
以下の工程:
-ブリキ(1)を帯の形態で準備する工程;
-インライン押出によって1個または2個のポリマーフィルム(2)を製造する工程;
-前記1個または2個のインライン押出ポリマーフィルム(2)を、スリット手段(5)を使用して長手方向でスリットし、少なくともN個(ここで、Nが2以上である。)の広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)と、(N-1)個の狭幅のポリマーフィルム帯(4a-4c)とを得る工程であって、前記狭幅のポリマーフィルム帯(4a-4c)が、前記広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)の間から切り取られる工程;
-前記ポリマーフィルム(2)の幅が前記ブリキ(1)の幅より狭いことが保証されるように、かつ、前記ポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)の末端にポリマーフィルムが存在しないことが可能となるように、前記ポリマーフィルム(2)の末端をインライントリミングする工程;
-排出手段(6)により、前記狭幅のポリマーフィルム帯(4a-4c)および前記切り取られた末端を前記広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)から引き離す工程;
-前記間隔の空いた2個以上の広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)をニップロール装置に搬送する工程;
-前記ブリキ(1)を予熱し、続いて、前記ニップロール装置(7)によって、前記2個以上の広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)を前記予熱されたブリキ(1)上にコーティングして、2個以上の広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(8a-8d)でポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)を取得する工程であって、前記2個以上の広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(8a-8d)が、前記ポリマーフィルムが存在しない狭幅の帯(9a-9c)により長手方向で空間的に分離されており、前記ポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)の末端(10a,10b)が、前記ポリマーフィルムが存在しない状態に維持されている工程;
-後加熱装置(15)中で前記ポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)を、前記1個または2個のポリマーフィルム(2)の融点を超える温度に、あるいは、前記ポリマーフィルム(2)が積層体である場合は、積層体中で最も溶融温度が高いポリマーフィルム層の融点を超える温度に後加熱する工程;
-前記後加熱されたポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)を急冷する工程
を含む方法。 - 前記ブリキ(1)が、ニップロール装置(7)に入る前に、少なくとも190℃に予熱される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記急冷されたポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)を、複数の帯にスリットし、前記スリットを、長手方向で実施し、かつ、ポリマーフィルムが存在しない前記狭幅の帯(9a-9c)において実施される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 3ピース缶本体を製造するためのブランクが、前記急冷されたポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)から製造される、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルム(2)が、ポリエステル、コポリエステル、ポリエステルのブレンド、ポリアミドまたはポリオレフィンを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルム(2)が5~35μmの厚みを有する、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記押出プロセスによって製造された前記1個または2個のポリマーフィルム(2)が一軸または二軸配向されていない、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記押出ポリマーフィルム(2)、前記得られた広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)および前記ブリキ(1)の移動方向が、押出機およびニップロールの組合せの機械方向であり、前記移動方向が変化せず、前記機械方向と平行の状態に維持されており、その結果、前記広幅のポリマーフィルム帯(3a-3d)の間から前記狭幅のポリマーフィルム帯(4a-4c)を除去することにより生じた間隙の幅が、前記ポリマーコーティングされたブリキ(1)のうちの前記ポリマーが存在しない狭幅の帯(9a-9c)の幅と同一である、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記後加熱温度がスズの融点を超えることにより、得られるスズ層が鋼基材由来の鉄と合金になり、前記鋼基材に対するスズめっき層の接着と、スズ層またはスズ合金層に対する前記ポリマー(2)の接着とを改善する、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記後加熱温度が少なくとも235℃である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーフィルム(2)が一軸または二軸配向されておらず、したがって、前記予熱されたブリキ(1)によって加熱される際に、あるいは、ロールニップ装置におけるラミネート中に、前記ポリマーフィルムが収縮しない、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
