Description
また、この場合において、前記溝底面は、軸受外部側へ向かうにしたがって前記シール本体部から離れる傾斜面であるのが好ましい。この溝底面によれば、溝底面(シール面)とリップ先部との成す角度(リップ角度)を小さくすることができ、これにより、リップ先部の変形量が小さくなり、緊迫力をより一層低下させることが可能となる。
そこで、本実施形態では、前記のとおりリップ基部51とリップ中間部52との折れ曲がり角度Q1(劣角、図2参照)を小さくしている。具体的には、折れ曲がり角度Q1を90度未満の鋭角としている。また、リップ先部53の長さL3(図3参照)を長くしている。具体的には、リップ先部53の長さL3をリップ基部51の長さL1よりも長くしている(L3>L1)。なお、折れ曲がり角度Q1を小さくすることで、リップ先部53の長さL3を長く設定しやすい。この構成によれば、シールリップ42の軸方向寸法が大きくなるのを抑制することができ、以下において、これについて図5により説明する。

Claims (4)
- 内輪と外輪との間に形成されている環状空間の軸方向端部に設けられているシール装置を備え、前記内輪が回転輪であり前記外輪が固定輪である転がり軸受であって、
前記シール装置は、前記外輪に取り付けられているシール本体部と、当該シール本体部から前記内輪側に延びて設けられ当該内輪のシール面に接触するシールリップと、を有し、
前記シールリップは、前記シール本体部から前記内輪側に延びているリップ基部と、前記リップ基部から当該リップ基部と異なる方向に延びているリップ中間部と、前記リップ中間部から当該リップ中間部と異なる方向であって前記内輪側に延び前記シール面に接触するリップ先端を有するリップ先部と、を有し、
前記リップ先部は、前記シール面に近づくにしたがって前記内輪の軸方向の軸受外部側へ向かう方向に延びている形状を有し、
前記リップ先部の内周面は、前記シール面に接触する先端部から前記内輪の軸方向の軸受外部側へ拡径した後、前記内輪の軸方向の軸受外部側へ延在し、
前記内輪の軸方向端部にシール溝が形成されており、前記シール溝は、前記シール面となる溝底面と、当該溝底面の軸受内部側の溝側面とを有し、前記リップ先部は前記溝底面に接触し、
前記溝底面は、軸受外部側へ向かうにしたがって前記シール本体部から離れる傾斜面であり、
前記リップ基部は、前記シール本体部から離れるにしたがって前記内輪の軸方向の軸受外部側へ向かう方向に延びている形状を有し、
前記リップ中間部は、前記リップ基部との連結部が前記内輪の軸方向の軸受外部側に位置しかつ前記リップ先部との連結部が前記リップ基部との前記連結部よりも前記内輪の軸方向の軸受内部側に位置するように延びている形状を有している、転がり軸受。 - 前記シール面と前記リップ先部との成す劣角であるリップ角度は、60度未満の鋭角である、請求項1に記載の転がり軸受。
- 前記リップ基部と前記リップ中間部との劣角である折れ曲がり角度は90度未満の鋭角である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の転がり軸受。
- 前記リップ中間部と前記リップ先部との劣角である折れ曲がり角度は90度未満の鋭角である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の転がり軸受。
