ASTM D1238に従って、メルトインデクサーG-01(東洋精機製作所社製)を用いて、372℃、5kg荷重下で内径2.1mm、長さ8mmのノズルから10分間あたりに流出するポリマーの質量(g/10分)を求めた。
示差走査熱量計(商品名:X-DSC7000、日立ハイテクサイエンス社製)を用いて、昇温速度10℃/分で200℃から350℃までの1度目の昇温を行い、続けて、冷却速度10℃/分で350℃から200℃まで冷却し、再度、昇温速度10℃/分で200℃から350℃までの2度目の昇温を行い、2度目の昇温過程で生ずる溶融曲線ピークから融点を求めた。
共重合体のペレットを、コールドプレスにより成形して、厚さ0.25~0.30mmのフィルムを作製した。このフィルムをフーリエ変換赤外分光分析装置〔FT-IR(Spectrum One、パーキンエルマー社製)〕により40回スキャンし、分析して赤外吸収スペクトルを得、完全にフッ素化されて官能基が存在しないベーススペクトルとの差スペクトルを得た。この差スペクトルに現れる特定の官能基の吸収ピークから、下記式(A)に従って試料における炭素原子1×106個あたりの官能基数Nを算出した。

参考までに、本開示における官能基について、吸収周波数、モル吸光係数および補正係数を表2に示す。モル吸光係数は低分子モデル化合物のFT-IR測定データから決定したものである。
174L容積のオートクレーブに純水51.8Lを投入し、充分に窒素置換を行った後、パーフルオロシクロブタン40.9kgとパーフルオロ(プロピルビニルエーテル)(PPVE)0.54kg、メタノール5.10kgとを仕込み、系内の温度を35℃、攪拌速度を200rpmに保った。次いで、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)を0.64MPaまで圧入した後、ジ-n-プロピルパーオキシジカーボネートの50%メタノール溶液0.051kgを投入して重合を開始した。重合の進行とともに系内圧力が低下するので、TFEを連続供給して圧力を一定にし、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.020kg追加投入した。TFEの追加投入量が40.9kgに達したところで重合を終了させた。未反応のTFEを放出して、オートクレーブ内を大気圧に戻した後、得られた反応生成物を水洗、乾燥して41.1kgの粉末を得た。
PPVEを3.47kg、メタノールを3.28kg、ジ-n-プロピルパーオキシジカーボネートの50%メタノール溶液を0.026kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.071kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末43.8kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
PPVEを2.69kg、メタノールを0.10kg、ジ-n-プロピルパーオキシジカーボネートの50%メタノール溶液を0.026kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.057kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末43.2kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
PPVEを2.69kg、メタノールを2.48kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.057kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末43.2kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
PPVEを2.75kg、メタノールを0.88kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.058kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末43.3kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化していないペレットを得た。
PPVEを1.49kg、メタノールを1.65kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.036kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末42.4kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
PPVEを2.11kg、メタノールを1.28kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.047kg追加投入、真空振動式反応装置の昇温温度を170℃、反応を170℃の温度下で5時間に変更し、乾燥粉末42.8kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
PPVEを2.75kg、メタノールを0.60kg、PPVEをTFEの供給1kg毎に0.058kg追加投入に変更し、乾燥粉末43.3kgを得た以外は、合成例1と同様にして、フッ素化したペレットを得た。
射出成形機(住友重機械工業社製、SE50EV-A)を使用し、シリンダ温度を400℃、金型温度を220℃とし、射出速度を5mm/sとして、ペレットを射出成形することにより、円筒状射出成形体(内径Φ1.5cm(中空部の直径(D)=15mm)、外径Φ1.9cm、厚み2mm、管の軸方向長さ10.5cm(軸方向の長さ(L)=105mm))を作製した。可動側の金型に、取り外し可能な、直径Φ1.5cm、高さ10.5cmのコア材が取り付けてある。
○:円筒状射出成形体をコア材から引き抜くことができた
×:円筒状射出成形体をコア材から引き抜くことができなかった
射出成形機(住友重機械工業社製、SE50EV-A)を使用し、シリンダ温度を400℃、金型温度を220℃とし、射出速度を5mm/sとして、ペレットを射出成形することにより、円筒状射出成形体(内径Φ1.5cm(中空部の直径(D)=15mm)、外径Φ1.9cm、厚み2mm、管の軸方向長さ4.5cm(軸方向の長さ(L)=45mm))を作製した。キャビティには、可動側の金型に取り外し可能な、直径Φ1.5cm、高さ4.5cmのコアが取り付けてある。
管継手(2)の中空部の端部(コアと金型の界面となる部位)を目視で観察し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:バリが観られる
×:バリが観らない
管継手(2)の中空部(内面)を目視で観察し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:中空部に傷が観られない
×:中空部に傷が観られる
上記した方法に従って、管継手(2)の作製を20回繰り返し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:全ての作製において、コア材を引き抜くことができた
×:1回以上の作製において、コア材を引き抜くことができないことがあった
管継手(2)の金型のゲート部に対応する継手の位置(図1に示す位置A)の周辺の内壁の荒れを目視で確認し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:表面荒れあり
×:表面荒れなし
管継手(2)の外観を以下の基準により評価した。
○:表面全体が平滑であり、成形体全体にフローマークも観られない
×:表面に荒れが観られたり、フローマークが観られたりする
日立ハイテクサイエンス社製TMA-7100を用いて引張クリープ歪を測定した。管継手(2)から幅1mm、長さ20mmのサンプルを作製した。サンプルを治具間距離10mmで測定治具に装着した。サンプルに対して、断面荷重が2.41N/mm2になるように荷重を負荷し、240℃に放置し、試験開始後70分の時点から試験開始後300分の時点までのサンプルの長さの変位(mm)を測定し、初期のサンプル長(10mm)に対する長さの変位(mm)の割合(引張クリープ歪(%))を算出した。240℃、300分間の条件で測定する引張クリープ歪(%)が小さい射出成形体は、非常に高温の環境中で引張荷重が負荷されても伸びにくく、高温高圧の流体に対する耐変形性に優れている。
Claims (9)
- 円筒状の中空部を備える管継手であって、
前記管継手の肉厚が最も大きい箇所の肉厚が、2~7mmであり、
前記中空部の軸方向の長さ(L)と、前記中空部の直径(D)との比率(L/D)が、5以下であり、
前記管継手が、テトラフルオロエチレン単位およびフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位を含有する共重合体を含有しており、
前記共重合体のフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位の含有量が、全単量体単位に対して、2.8~6.0質量%であり、前記共重合体の372℃におけるメルトフローレートが、4.0g/10分以上11.0g/10分未満であり、前記共重合体の官能基数が50個以下である
管継手。 - 前記中空部の軸方向の長さ(L)が、20mm以上である請求項1に記載の管継手。
- 前記共重合体の前記フルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位が、パーフルオロ(プロピルビニルエーテル)単位である請求項1または2に記載の管継手。
- 前記共重合体の前記フルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位の含有量が、全単量体単位に対して、3.5~5.5質量%である請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の管継手。
- 前記共重合体の372℃におけるメルトフローレートが、5.0~9.0g/10分である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の管継手。
- 前記共重合体の融点が、295~315℃である請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の管継手。
- 射出成形体である請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の管継手。
- 金型のキャビティ内に円柱状のコア材を挿入し、
前記金型のキャビティ内に射出成形機から溶融した共重合体を充填し、
溶融した前記共重合体を冷却して、固化させ、
前記コア材を管継手の軸方向に沿って引き抜くとともに、前記金型から前記管継手を取り出す管継手の製造方法であって、
前記コア材を引き抜くことにより形成される前記管継手の中空部の軸方向の長さ(L)と、前記中空部の直径(D)との比率(L/D)が、5以下であり、
前記管継手の肉厚が最も大きい箇所の肉厚が、2~7mmであり、
前記共重合体が、テトラフルオロエチレン単位およびフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位を含有する共重合体であり、
前記共重合体のフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)単位の含有量が、全単量体単位に対して、2.8~6.0質量%であり、前記共重合体の372℃におけるメルトフローレートが、4.0g/10分以上11.0g/10分未満であり、前記共重合体の官能基数が50個以下である
管継手の製造方法。 - 前記コア材の長さが、前記管継手の中空部の軸方向の長さ(L)と同一である請求項8に記載の製造方法。
