Description
共役ジエン単位と、非共役オレフィン単位と、芳香族ビニル単位とを有する多元共重合体を製造する方法において、
触媒と、非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物から選択される少なくとも1つとを含む反応器内に、共役ジエン化合物を連続的または間欠連続的に添加する工程を含むことを特徴とする。本発明の多元共重合体の製造方法によれば、破断強度に優れる多元共重合体を得ることができる。
本発明に係る多元共重合体の製造方法は、
共役ジエン単位と、非共役オレフィン単位と、芳香族ビニル単位とを有する多元共重合体を製造する方法において、
触媒と、非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物から選択される少なくとも1つとを含む反応器内に、共役ジエン化合物を連続的または間欠連続的に添加する工程を含むことを特徴とする。本発明の多元共重合体の製造方法によれば、破断強度に優れる多元共重合体を得ることができる。この理由は定かではないが、共役ジエン化合物を連続的または間欠連続的に添加することにより、多元共重合体中の共役ジエンの連鎖長が均一となることで、多元共重合体鎖中の架橋点も均一となるためと推測される。
共役ジエン化合物は、公知の共役ジエン化合物を用いることができる。共役ジエン化合物は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
非共役オレフィン化合物は、公知の非共役オレフィン化合物を用いることができる。非共役オレフィン化合物は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
芳香族ビニル化合物は、公知の芳香族ビニル化合物を用いることができる。芳香族ビニル化合物は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
本発明に係る多元共重合体の製造方法で用いる触媒は、特に限定されず、公知の共重合体の製法で用いられている触媒を用いることができる。例えば、特許文献1、特開2016-210940号公報、特開2016-128552号公報などに記載の重合触媒組成物を用いることが好ましい。以下、重合触媒組成物を例示する。
本発明の製造方法では、共役ジエン化合物と、非共役オレフィン化合物と、芳香族ビニル化合物とを下記一般式(I):
なお、重合反応系において、重合触媒組成物に含まれる錯体の濃度は0.1~0.0001mol/Lの範囲であることが好ましい。
一般式(III)において、上記置換インデニル環を基本骨格とするCpR’は、一般式(I)のCpRと同様に定義され、好ましい例も同様である。
上記一般式(II)で表されるメタロセン錯体は、例えば、溶媒中でランタノイドトリスハライド、スカンジウムトリスハライド又はイットリウムトリスハライドを、インデニルの塩(例えばカリウム塩やリチウム塩)及びシリルの塩(例えばカリウム塩やリチウム塩)と反応させることで得ることができる。なお、反応温度は室温程度にすればよいので、温和な条件で製造することができる。また、反応時間は任意であるが、数時間~数十時間程度である。反応溶媒は特に限定されないが、原料及び生成物を溶解する溶媒であることが好ましく、例えばトルエンを用いればよい。以下に、一般式(II)で表されるメタロセン錯体を得るための反応例を示す。
使用する前記非共役オレフィン化合物の総量が、40~99.8mol%であり、
使用する前記芳香族ビニル化合物の総量が、0.1~30mol%であり、かつ、
使用する前記共役ジエン化合物の総量が、0.01~30mol%であることが好ましい。これにより、多元共重合体における、非共役オレフィン単位、芳香族ビニル単位、共役ジエン単位を好ましい含有量にできる。
本発明に係る多元共重合体は、上記いずれかの製造方法により得られることを特徴とする。本発明によれば、破断強度に優れる多元共重合体を提供することができる。
前記多元共重合体における共役ジエン単位の含有量が、1~20mol%であり、
前記多元共重合体における非共役オレフィン単位の含有量が、60~96mol%であり、
前記多元共重合体における芳香族ビニル単位の含有量が、3~20mol%であることが好ましい。これにより、低発熱性、耐摩耗性および汎用ゴムとの相溶性を向上させることができるという効果がある。
本発明に係るゴム組成物は、ゴム成分として上記多元共重合体を含むことを特徴とする。本発明によれば、破断強度に優れるゴム組成物を提供することができる。
本発明に係るゴム組成物を架橋して架橋ゴム組成物を得ることができる。当該架橋ゴム組成物は、本発明に係る多元共重合体に由来するため、破断強度に優れる。
本発明に係るゴム組成物を用いたまたは上記架橋ゴム組成物を含むゴム物品は、破断強度に優れる。
本発明に係るタイヤは、上記ゴム組成物を用いたことを特徴とする。本発明によれば、破断強度に優れるタイヤを提供することができる。タイヤにおけるゴム組成物または架橋ゴム組成物の適用部位としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、トレッドゴム、ベーストレッドゴム、サイドウォールゴム、サイド補強ゴムおよびビードフィラーなどが挙げられる。
シリカ:東ソー・シリカ社製の商品名NipSil AQ
シランカップリング剤:信越化学社製の商品名ABC-856
オイル:JX日鉱日石エネルギー社製の商品名JOMO PROCESS NC300BN
WAX:精工化学社製の商品名サンタイト(登録商標)A
老化防止剤:N-(1,3-ジメチルブチル)-N’-フェニル-p-フェニレンジアミン、大内新興化学工業社製の商品名ノクラック 6C
加硫促進剤1:1,3-ジフェニルグアニジン、大内新興化学工業社製の商品名ノクセラーD
加硫促進剤2:ビス(2-ベンゾチアゾリル)ペルスルフィド、大内新興化学工業社製の商品名ノクセラーDM-P
加硫促進剤3:N-(tert-ブチル)-2-ベンゾチアゾールスルフェンアミド、大内新興化学工業社製の商品名ノクセラーNS-P
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器に、スチレン75gと、1,3-ブタジエン20gを含むトルエン溶液80gと、トルエン675gとを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器内に、スチレン75gとトルエン675gとを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器内に、スチレン75gと、1,3-ブタジエン5gを含むトルエン溶液20gと、トルエン413gとを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器内に、スチレン89gと、1,3-ブタジエン3.5gを含むトルエン溶液14gと、トルエン597gとを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器に、スチレン145gとトルエン597gを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器に、スチレン140gとトルエン560gを加えた。
十分に乾燥した2000mL耐圧ステンレス反応器に、スチレン140gとトルエン560gを加えた。
実施例1において、スチレンを用いないこと以外は、実施例1と同じ条件で重合を行い、共重合体bを得た。
オイル:10質量部
ステアリン酸:2.0質量部
WAX:2.0質量部
老化防止剤:1.0質量部
亜鉛華:2.5質量部
加硫促進剤1:1.0質量部
加硫促進剤2:1.0質量部
加硫促進剤3:1.0質量部
硫黄:1.4質量部
各加硫ゴム組成物について、JIS K6251に準拠して、ダンベル状3号形試験片を用いて、100℃で引っ張り試験を行い、破断強度(TSb)と破断伸び(Eb)を測定した。比較例1の測定値を100として、各加硫ゴム組成物の測定値を指数表示した。その結果を表2に合わせて示す。指数値が大きい程、破断強度または破断伸びに優れることを示す。
Claims (6)
- 共役ジエン単位と、非共役オレフィン単位と、芳香族ビニル単位とを有する多元共重合体を製造する方法において、
触媒と、分割された共役ジエン化合物の一部、非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物を含む反応器内に、分割された共役ジエン化合物の残りを連続的または間欠連続的に添加する工程を含み、
前記分割された共役ジエン化合物の一部は、0.001~1molであり、
前記非共役オレフィン化合物は、エチレンを含み、
前記触媒が、下記一般式(I):
- 前記非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物の少なくとも1つは、分割されており、前記反応器内に、
(i)前記非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物のうち、前記非共役オレフィン化合物のみが分割されている場合は、分割された非共役オレフィン化合物の残りを添加し、
(ii)前記非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物のうち、前記芳香族ビニル化合物のみが分割されている場合は、分割された芳香族ビニル化合物の残りを添加し、
(iii)前記非共役オレフィン化合物および芳香族ビニル化合物が分割されている場合は、分割された非共役オレフィン化合物の残りおよび分割された芳香族ビニル化合物の残りを添加する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の多元共重合体の製造方法。 - 前記共役ジエン化合物を連続的または間欠連続的に添加する時間が、10秒~100時間である、請求項1または2に記載の多元共重合体の製造方法。
- 0.1~20mmol/分の量で、前記共役ジエン化合物を連続的または間欠連続的に添加する、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の多元共重合体の製造方法。
- 使用する前記非共役オレフィン化合物、前記芳香族ビニル化合物および前記共役ジエン化合物の合計量に対して、
使用する前記非共役オレフィン化合物の総量が、40~99.8mol%であり、
使用する前記芳香族ビニル化合物の総量が、0.1~30mol%であり、かつ、
使用する前記共役ジエン化合物の総量が、0.01~30mol%である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の多元共重合体の製造方法。 - 前記多元共重合体における共役ジエン単位の含有量が、1~20mol%であり、
前記多元共重合体における非共役オレフィン単位の含有量が、60~96mol%であり、
前記多元共重合体における芳香族ビニル単位の含有量が、3~20mol%である、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の多元共重合体の製造方法。
