Description
被膜硬さ(HV0.025)は、ビッカース硬さ試験法(JIS G0202、Z2244)に従って、硬さ記号HV0.025で示される条件下で硬質被膜のHV値(ビッカース硬さ)を測定した値である。
図1は、本発明が適用された硬質被膜被覆部材の一例であるエンドミル10を説明する正面図で、図2は先端側から見た拡大底面図である。このエンドミル10は、超硬合金の工具母材12(図3~図8参照)を主体として構成されており、工具母材12には、シャンク14および刃部16が一体に設けられている。刃部16には、外周刃18および底刃20から成る切れ刃が軸心まわりに等間隔で5枚設けられており、軸心まわりに回転駆動されることにより、それ等の外周刃18および底刃20によって断続的に切削加工が行われる。本実施例のエンドミル10は、外周刃18と底刃20とが接続されるコーナー部分に丸みが設けられたラジアスエンドミルである。エンドミル10は硬質被膜被覆工具で、断続切削工具に相当する。

・被削材:チタン合金
・切削速度V:70m/min
・回転速度n:1400min-1
・送り速度:f=0.09mm/t、F=630mm/min
・加工形態:側面切削
・軸方向切込みap:28.8mm
・径方向切込みae:3.2mm
Claims (8)
- 母材の表面を被覆するように該表面に付着される硬質被膜であって、
前記硬質被膜は、
A組成、B組成、およびC組成の中の何れか1つの組成から成る単一組成層と、
何れも膜厚が0.5~500nmの範囲内のナノレイヤー層である、前記A組成から成るナノレイヤーA層、前記B組成から成るナノレイヤーB層、および前記C組成から成るナノレイヤーC層のうち、前記ナノレイヤーA層および前記ナノレイヤーB層、前記ナノレイヤーA層および前記ナノレイヤーC層、前記ナノレイヤーB層および前記ナノレイヤーC層、の3種類の組合せの中の何れか2種類の組合せで、該ナノレイヤー層が交互に積層された2種類のナノレイヤー交互層との、
計3種類の層が交互に積層されて、総膜厚が0.5~20μmの範囲内となるように構成されており、
前記A組成は、組成式がAla Crb Sic αd 〔但し、a、b、c、dはそれぞれ原子比で、0.30≦a≦0.85、0.10≦b≦0.65、0.01≦c≦0.45、0≦d≦0.10、且つa+b+c+d=1であり、任意添加成分αはB、C、Ti、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物で、
前記B組成は、組成式がAle Tif Sig βh 〔但し、e、f、g、hはそれぞれ原子比で、0.01≦e≦0.85、0.05≦f≦0.90、0.05≦g≦0.45、0≦h≦0.10、且つe+f+g+h=1であり、任意添加成分βはB、C、Cr、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物で、
前記C組成は、組成式がAli Crj (SiC)k γl 〔但し、i、j、k、lはそれぞれ原子比で、0.20≦i≦0.85、0.10≦j≦0.50、0.03≦k≦0.45、0≦l≦0.10、且つi+j+k+l=1であり、任意添加成分γはB、Ti、V、Y、Zr、Nb、Mo、Hf、Ta、およびWより選ばれる1種以上の元素である〕の窒化物であり、
前記単一組成層の膜厚は0.5~1000nmの範囲内であり、
前記2種類のナノレイヤー交互層の各膜厚は何れも1~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする硬質被膜。 - 前記単一組成層の膜厚T1と、前記2種類のナノレイヤー交互層の各膜厚T2、T3との比T1/T2、T1/T3は、何れも0.2~10の範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬質被膜。 - 交互に積層された前記単一組成層および前記2種類のナノレイヤー交互層の最下部の層が前記母材の表面に直接設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の硬質被膜。 - 前記硬質被膜は、前記母材との境界に界面層を備えており、
前記界面層は、
前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか1つの組成から成る単一組成層、
前記ナノレイヤーA層、前記ナノレイヤーB層、および前記ナノレイヤーC層の中の何れか2種類が交互に積層されたナノレイヤー交互層、
およびB、Al、Ti、Y、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、およびWの中の1種類以上の元素から成る金属の窒化物、炭窒化物、または炭化物の層、
の計3種類の層の中の何れか1つの層にて構成されており、
前記界面層の膜厚は5~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の硬質被膜。 - 前記硬質被膜は、最表面に表面層を備えており、
前記表面層は、前記A組成、前記B組成、および前記C組成の中の何れか1つの組成から成る単一組成層、または前記ナノレイヤーA層、前記ナノレイヤーB層、および前記ナノレイヤーC層の中の何れか2種類が交互に積層されたナノレイヤー交互層にて構成されており、
前記表面層の膜厚は0.5~1000nmの範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れか1項に記載の硬質被膜。 - 被膜硬さ(HV0.025)が2700~3300(HV)の範囲内である
ことを特徴とする請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の硬質被膜。 - 母材の表面の一部または全部が硬質被膜によって被覆されている硬質被膜被覆部材であって、
前記硬質被膜が請求項1~6の何れか1項に記載の硬質被膜である
ことを特徴とする硬質被膜被覆部材。 - 前記硬質被膜被覆部材は、軸心まわりに回転させられるとともに、回転に伴って切れ刃が断続的に切削加工を行う断続切削工具である
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の硬質被膜被覆部材。
