Description
Iθ=I0cosθ
実施例1の光学フィルムの製造過程を図11を参照して説明する。厚さが約300μmであるガラス基板上にアルミニウムパターンを形成してマスク5を製作した。具体的には、前記アルミニウムパターンには、半径が約0.1mmであり、その中心間の距離が約1.2mmである複数の打孔が形成されていた(図12参照)。前記マスクを、厚さが約30μmであり、大きさが4cm×4cm(横×縦)であり、532nm波長光に対する平均屈折率が約1.5であるフォトポリマーフィルム7(コメスト社、Bayfol HX)上に、離隔距離が約50cmとなるように位置させた。前記フォトポリマーフィルム7にレーザーを約250秒間照射してホログラフィック光学素子を製造した。具体的には、光源1から照射された、波長が約532nmであり、強度が約700μWであるレーザー光を、ビームスプリット2を利用して物体光3と参照光4に分割した。引き続き、前記物体光3は前記マスク5を媒介として前記フォトポリマーフィルム7に照射されるようにしつつ、前記フォトポリマーフィルム7の法線と平行な方向に照射されるようにした。そして、前記参照光4は鏡6を通じて前記フォトポリマーフィルムに直接照射されるようにしつつ、前記フォトポリマーフィルムの法線と約3度をなすように照射されるようにした。この時、物体光と参照光を前記フォトポリマーフィルムの同一面上に照射することによって、前記ホログラフィック光学素子が透過型ホログラフィック光学素子となるようにした。
前記光学フィルムを基板401、透明電極層402、有機発光層403および反射電極層404が順に積層された有機発光パネルの基板側に付着して有機発光素子を製造した。前記有機発光パネルとしては、市販中の製品(LGディスプレイ社製造)を使った。
ビームスプリットを通じて分割された物体光は、マスクを媒介として前記フォトポリマーフィルムに照射されるようにしつつ、前記フォトポリマーフィルムの法線と約30度をなすようにし、参照光は鏡を通じてフォトポリマーフィルムに直接照射されるようにしつつ、前記フォトポリマーフィルムの法線と約33度をなすように照射されるようにすることによって、透過型ホログラフィック光学素子を製造したことを除いては実施例1と同じ方法で光学フィルムおよび有機発光素子を製造した。実施例2の光学フィルムの製造過程を図13に簡略に図示した。
光学フィルムを積層しない有機発光素子を準備した。
実施例1および2で製造したホログラフィック素子に対して、複数の光源(632nmおよび532nm波長)とフォトダイオードディテクタを利用して前記素子の回折効率を測定した。前述した回折効率を通じて計算された前記ホログラフィック素子の高屈折領域の最大屈折率は約1.52であり、最小屈折率は約1.48であった(実施例1および2のいずれも同じ)。また、ホログラフィック光学素子の製造時に適用されたマスク内の打孔の大きさが約1.2mmであることから、前記素子内での屈折率の変化領域の直径および屈折率の変化領域の中心点の間の距離がすべて1.2mmであることを類推することができた(実施例1および2のいずれも同じ)。
光抽出率は下記の数式1によって計算した。
光抽出率(%)=(光学フィルムの総光度-有機発光装置の総光度)×100/有機発光装置の総光度
正面光度上昇率は下記の数式2によって計算した。
正面光度上昇率=(光学フィルムの正面光度-有機発光装置の正面光度)×100/有機発光装置の正面光度
Claims (13)
- 面方向に沿って屈折率が変わる屈折率変化単位領域を含み、
屈折率の変化パターンが記録されたホログラフィック光学素子であり、
前記屈折率変化単位領域は、複数の高屈折単位領域と複数の低屈折単位領域を含み、
前記高屈折単位領域と前記低屈折単位領域とは、互いに同じ中心点を共有し、
前記屈折率変化単位領域内で、前記高屈折単位領域と前記低屈折単位領域とは、前記屈折率変化単位領域の中心から面方向に沿って遠ざかる方向に交互に繰り返されて存在し、
前記屈折率変化単位領域の内の複数の高屈折単位領域のそれぞれの最大屈折率が、前記屈折率変化単位領域の中心から面方向に沿って遠ざかる方向に減少するか、又は、前記屈折率変化単位領域の内の複数の低屈折単位領域のそれぞれの最小屈折率が、前記屈折率変化単位領域の中心から面方向に沿って遠ざかる方向に増加し、
前記屈折率変化単位領域の内の互いに隣接する高屈折単位領域の半径と低屈折単位領域の半径の差が、前記屈折率変化単位領域の中心から面方向の軸に沿って遠ざかる方向に減少し、
複数の前記屈折率変化単位領域を含む、有機発光素子の光抽出用又は光指向用光学フィルム。 - 前記屈折率変化単位領域で屈折率は連続的に変化する、請求項1に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記高屈折単位領域の最大屈折率は1.3~1.7の範囲内である、請求項1又は2に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記低屈折単位領域の最小屈折率は1.2~1.6の範囲内である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 平均屈折率が1.3~1.8の範囲内である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 少なくとも3個の屈折率変化単位領域を含み、互いに隣接する屈折率変化単位領域のそれぞれの中心点を連結した時に多角形が形成される、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 屈折率変化単位領域の半径は0.2mm~6mmの範囲内である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 表面粗度が1μm未満である、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 厚さが3μm~300μmの範囲内である、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記ホログラフィック光学素子は透過型ホログラフィック光学素子である、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム。
- 請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載された光学フィルムおよび有機発光パネルを含む、有機発光素子。
- 有機発光パネルは、基板;および前記基板の一面上に順に提供される透明電極層;有機発光層;および反射電極層を含み、前記光学フィルムは前記基板と前記透明電極層の間の面および前記基板を基準として前記透明電極層の反対面のうち、少なくとも一面に位置する、請求項11に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記有機発光層はランバーシアン形態の光を出射する、請求項12に記載の有機発光素子。
