Claims (23)
- 不燃性のターゲットガスを破壊する方法であって、前記ターゲットガスはターゲット物質のガスまたは霧化物を含み、
a)空気とターゲットガスの混合気を第1の圧力で圧縮して圧縮されたターゲットガス混合気を生成し、空気とターゲットガスの混合気中のターゲットガス濃度を40g/m3以下に保ち、
b)前記第1の圧力よりも高い燃焼圧力で、前記圧縮されたターゲットガス混合気を強制誘導される内燃機関内で燃料で燃焼させることによって前記ターゲットガス混合気を破壊し、前記ターゲットガスを熱分解し、酸化された排気ガスを生成し、燃焼は、負荷バンクを備えたエンジン上の負荷を維持しながら行われ、
c)酸化された排気ガスを処理して、排気ガスがターゲットガスを含まない大気に排気するための排気ガスを生成する、
方法。 - 前記内燃機関がディーゼルサイクル内燃機関であり、前記燃料がディーゼル燃料である、

- 前記ターゲットガスの中のターゲットガス濃度が、35g/m3以下、または30g/m
3以下、または25g/m3以下、または20g/m3以下に保たれる、請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記ターゲットガスと空気の混合気が、110.32~124.11kPa(16psi~18psi)の第1の圧力に圧縮される、請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ターゲットガス混合気の圧縮は、ターボチャージャ内で行われる、請求項1~12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ターゲットガス混合気は、燃焼室内で燃焼前に2.53~3.54MPa(25~35atm)の範囲内の第2の圧力まで圧縮される、請求項1~13のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ターゲットガス混合気の温度が、前記燃焼室内で燃焼前に少なくとも550℃まで上昇される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 燃焼中の燃焼室内の燃焼圧力が5.07~6.59MPa(50~65atm)の範囲内であり、酸化された排気ガスを生成する、請求項1~15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 燃焼中の燃焼室内の火炎温度が2,600~2,700℃に達する、請求項1~16のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 燃焼室温度が600~700℃の範囲である、請求項1~17のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化された排気ガスは、ターボチャージャを通って前記内燃機関を出て、より低い温度で前記ターボチャージャを出る、請求項1から18のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化された排気ガスは、570℃以下の温度で前記ターボチャージャを出る、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化された排気ガスは、処理ステップcの前に100℃以下の温度に冷却される、請求項1~20のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化された排気ガスの処理が、スクラビング溶液を50℃~60℃の温度に維持するように設計された冷却システムと共に、複数の水ベースのスクラバーを利用する湿式スクラビングステージと、脱塩ステージとを含む、請求項1~21のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 不燃性のターゲットガスを破壊する方法であって、
a)空気とターゲットガスの混合気中のターゲットガス濃度を40g/m3以下に保つために、空気とターゲットガスとの比率を連続的に制御し、
b)空気とターゲットガスの混合気を第1の圧力で圧縮して圧縮されたターゲットガス混合気を生成し、
c)前記ターゲットガス混合気を強制誘導される内燃機関内で燃料と共に前記第1の圧力よりも高い燃焼圧力で燃焼させることによって、前記ターゲットガス混合気を破壊し、前記ターゲットガスを熱分解し、酸化された排気ガスを生成し、
d)酸化された排気ガスを処理して、排気ガスが、ターゲットガスを含まない大気に排気するための排気ガスを生成する、
方法。
