Claims (3)
- シリンダヘッドの内壁面とピストンの頂面間に主燃焼室が形成されており、シリンダヘッドに取付けられた点火栓の先端部と、シリンダヘッドの内壁面から主燃焼室内に突出する薄肉副室壁との間に副室が形成されており、副室内と主燃焼室内とを連通する連通孔が薄肉副室壁内に形成されており、該点火栓の先端部が、中空円筒状の外筒と、外筒内において外筒の中心軸線に沿って延びる柱状の中心電極絶縁碍子と、外筒および中心電極絶縁碍子間に形成されかつ副室内に連通する環状のガスポケットを具備しており、点火栓により副室内の混合気を燃焼させたときに連通孔からジェット火炎が主燃焼室に噴出する副室付内燃機関において、該薄肉副室壁が、シリンダヘッドの内壁面から主燃焼室内に向けて横断面積が次第に減少する円錐形、円錐台形、多角錐形、又は多角錐台形に形成されており、点火栓の接地側電極部をガスポケット内の最奥部に位置させて、点火時に中心電極絶縁碍子の先端部から突出する中心電極と接地側電極部間で放電が行われる副室付内燃機関。
- 該接地側電極部が、該ガスポケット内において該外筒の内壁面上に形成された接地側電極からなる請求項1に記載の副室付内燃機関。
- 該接地側電極部が、該ガスポケット内に位置する該外筒の内壁面からなる請求項1に記載の副室付内燃機関。
