Description
(a)少なくとも、第一キャリア膜、活性層、及び第二キャリア膜の順次積層体を提供し、かつ
(b)機能素子の少なくとも1つの側面における活性層の出口面を、少なくとも部分的に、好ましくは完全にバリア材で密封し、ここで、好ましくは、バリア材を出口面上に押し出すか又は出口面上に噴霧する。
(c)外側ペイン、第一中間層、電気制御可能な光学特性を有する本発明による機能素子、第二中間層、及び内側ペインを、この順序で互いに重ねて配置し、かつ
(d)外部ペイン及び内部ペインを積層によって接合し、ここで、機能素子を組み込んだ中間層を第一中間層及び第二中間層から形成する。
本発明による方法の有利な更なる展開では、工程(c)において、機能素子を取り囲む第三中間層を、第一中間層と第二中間層との間に配置する。
本発明を、図面及び好ましい実施形態を参照して詳細に説明する。図面は概略図であり、原寸に比例していない。図面は、決して本発明を限定しない。
本明細書に開示される発明は以下の態様を含む:
[1]電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)であって、前記機能素子(5)は、少なくとも以下の順次積層体:
- 第一キャリア膜(15)、
- 活性層(11)、及び
- 第二キャリア膜(14)、
を備えており、
ここで、前記機能素子(5)の少なくとも1つの側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)における前記活性層(11)の少なくとも1つの出口面(8)が、少なくとも部分的にバリア材(4)で密封されており、かつ前記バリア材(4)は、前記出口面(8)上に押し出されているか又は前記出口面(8)上に噴霧されている、
機能素子(5)。
[2]前記バリア材(4)は、前記出口面(8)と直接接触している、上記[1]に記載の機能素子(5)。
[3]全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)における前記出口面(8)が、前記バリア材(4)で完全に密封されているか、又は全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)の少なくとも1つ、好ましくは全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)が、前記バリア材(4)で完全に密封されている、上記[1]又は[2]に記載の機能素子(5)。
[4]前記機能素子(5)は、高分子分散型液晶(PDLC)膜である、上記[1]~[3]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[5]前記バリア材(4)は、前記バリア材(4)を通過した可塑剤が拡散するのを防止するように形成されている、上記[1]~[4]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[6]前記バリア材(4)は、可塑剤に乏しいか又は可塑剤を含有せず、好ましくはポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)若しくはポリフッ化ビニル(PVF)を含有するか又はこれでできている、上記[1]~[5]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[7]前記バリア材(4)は、前記出口面(8)全面にわたって、少なくとも0.1mm、好ましくは少なくとも0.5mmの厚さdを有する、上記[1]~[6]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[8]前記バリア材(4)は、前記機能素子(5)の前記順次積層体と、好ましくは前記キャリア膜(14、15)と、溶融接合又は接着接合している、上記[1]~[7]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[9]前記バリア材(4)は、前記機能素子(5)の前記順次積層体の前記側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)の直上に、特に、前記活性層(11)の前記出口面(8)及び/又は前記キャリア膜(14、15)の前記側面の直上に配置されている、上記[1]~[8]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[10]前記バリア材(4)は、前記側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)上にビード状に配置され、かつ/又は薄膜として実施されておらず、特に、前記側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)上の薄膜として接着も配置もされておらず、又は前記側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)の周囲に折り返されてもいない、上記[1]~[9]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)。
[11]機能素子(5)を備えている複合ペイン(100)であって、前記複合ペインは、以下を備える第二の順次積層体:
外部ペイン(1)、第一中間層(3a)、第二中間層(3b)、及び内部ペイン(2)を備えており、
ここで、前記中間層(3a、3b)は少なくとも1つの可塑剤を含む少なくとも1つの熱可塑性ポリマー膜を含み、
前記第一中間層(3a)と前記第二中間層(3b)との間に、上記[1]~[10]のいずれか一項に記載の電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)が、少なくとも部分的に配置されている、
複合ペイン(100)。
[12]前記中間層(3a、3b)が、少なくとも3重量%、好ましくは少なくとも5重量%、特に好ましくは少なくとも20重量%、さらにより好ましくは少なくとも30重量%、特に少なくとも40重量%の可塑剤を含有し、かつ前記可塑剤は、好ましくはトリ-若しくはテトラエチレングリコールの脂肪族ジエステル、特に好ましくはトリエチレングリコールビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)を含有するか又はこれでできている、上記[11]に記載の複合ペイン(100)。
[13]前記中間層(3a、3b)は、少なくとも60重量%、好ましくは少なくとも70重量%、特に好ましくは少なくとも90重量%、特に少なくとも97重量%のポリビニルブチラール(PVB)を含有する、上記[11]又は[12]に記載の複合ペイン(100)。
[14]少なくとも以下を含む、電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)の製造方法:
(a)少なくとも
- 第一キャリア膜(15)、
- 活性層(11)、及び
- 第二キャリア膜(14)
の順次積層体を提供し、かつ
(b)前記機能素子(5)の少なくとも1つの側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)における前記活性層(11)の出口面(8)を少なくとも部分的にバリア材(4)で密封し、ここで、前記バリア材(4)を前記出口面の直上に押し出すか又は前記出口面の直上に噴霧する。
[15]続く工程において、
(c)外部ペイン(1)、第一中間層(3a)、電気制御可能な光学特性を有する前記機能素子(5)、第二中間層(3b)、及び内部ペイン(2)を、この順序で互いに重ねて配置し、かつ
(d)前記外部ペイン(1)及び前記内部ペイン(2)を積層によって接合し、ここで、機能素子(5)を組み込んだ中間層を前記第一中間層(3a)及び前記第二中間層(3b)から形成する、
上記[14]に記載の方法。
[16]乗り物のウィンドシールド又はルーフパネルにおける、上記[1]~[10]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)の使用であって、前記機能素子(5)をサンバイザーとして使用する、使用。
[17]乗り物又は建築物の内部グレージング又は外部グレージングにおける、上記[1]~[10]のいずれか一つに記載の機能素子(5)の使用であって、前記電気制御可能な機能素子(5)を遮光スクリーン又はプライバシースクリーンとして使用する、使用。

Claims (14)
- 電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)であって、前記機能素子(5)は、少なくとも以下の順次積層体:
- 第一外側キャリア膜(15)、
- 活性層(11)、及び
- 第二外側キャリア膜(14)、
を備えており、
ここで、前記機能素子(5)の全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)における前記活性層(11)の側面である全出口面(8)が、前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)及び前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)と同じ材料でできたバリア材(4)で完全に密封されており、
前記バリア材(4)は、前記出口面(8)と直接接触しており、かつ
前記バリア材(4)が、前記機能素子(5)の全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)を超えて突出し、かつ前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)の上部側及び前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)の下部側の縁領域を被覆しており、ここで、前記バリア材(4)と、前記バリア材(4)が接触している前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)及び前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)の表面とが、局所的に溶融することによって溶融接合している、
機能素子(5)。 - 前記機能素子(5)は、高分子分散型液晶(PDLC)膜である、請求項1に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 前記バリア材(4)は、前記バリア材(4)を通過した可塑剤が拡散するのを防止するように形成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 前記バリア材(4)は、3重量%未満の可塑剤を含有するか又は可塑剤を含有しない、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 前記バリア材(4)は、前記出口面(8)全面にわたって、少なくとも0.1mmの厚さdを有する、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 前記バリア材(4)は、前記機能素子(5)の前記活性層(11)の前記出口面(8)及び前記第一及び前記第二外側キャリア膜(14、15)の側面の直上に配置されている、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 前記バリア材(4)は、前記機能素子(5)の側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)上にビード状に配置され、かつ薄膜として実施されていない、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)。
- 機能素子(5)を備えている複合ペイン(100)であって、前記複合ペインは、以下を備える第二の順次積層体:
外部ペイン(1)、第一中間層(3a)、第二中間層(3b)、及び内部ペイン(2)
を備えており、
ここで、前記中間層(3a、3b)は少なくとも1つの可塑剤を含む少なくとも1つの熱可塑性ポリマー膜を含み、
前記第一中間層(3a)と前記第二中間層(3b)との間に、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)が、少なくとも部分的に配置されている、
複合ペイン(100)。 - 前記中間層(3a、3b)が、少なくとも3重量%の可塑剤を含有する、請求項8に記載の複合ペイン(100)。
- 前記中間層(3a、3b)は、少なくとも60重量%のポリビニルブチラール(PVB)を含有する、請求項8又は9に記載の複合ペイン(100)。
- 少なくとも以下を含む、電気制御可能な光学特性を有する機能素子(5)の製造方法:
(a)少なくとも
- 第一外側キャリア膜(15)、
- 活性層(11)、及び
- 第二外側キャリア膜(14)
の順次積層体を提供し、かつ続いて
(b)前記機能素子(5)の全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)における前記活性層(11)の側面である全出口面(8)を、バリア材(4)を前記出口面(8)の直上に押し出すか又は前記出口面(8)の直上に噴霧することによって、前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)及び前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)と同じ材料でできた前記バリア材(4)で完全に密封し、かつ前記バリア材(4)を前記出口面(8)と直接接触させ、それによって、前記バリア材(4)が、前記機能素子(5)の全側面(5.1、5.2、5.3、5.4)を超えて突出し、かつ前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)の上部側及び前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)の下部側の縁領域を被覆し、ここで、前記バリア材(4)と、前記バリア材(4)が接触している前記第一外側キャリア膜(15)及び前記第二外側キャリア膜(14)の表面とを、局所的に溶融することによって溶融接合させる。 - 続く工程において、
(c)外部ペイン(1)、第一中間層(3a)、電気制御可能な光学特性を有する前記機能素子(5)、第二中間層(3b)、及び内部ペイン(2)を、この順序で互いに重ねて配置し、かつ続いて
(d)前記外部ペイン(1)及び前記内部ペイン(2)を積層によって接合し、それによって、機能素子(5)を組み込んだ中間層を前記第一中間層(3a)及び前記第二中間層(3b)から形成する、
請求項11に記載の方法。 - 乗り物のウィンドシールド又はルーフパネルにおける、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)の使用であって、前記機能素子(5)をサンバイザーとして使用する、使用。
- 乗り物又は建築物の内部グレージング又は外部グレージングにおける、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の機能素子(5)の使用であって、前記電気制御可能な機能素子(5)を遮光スクリーン又はプライバシースクリーンとして使用する、使用。
