Description
正極板3は、中間層7の露出領域における絶縁性粒子の含有率が、積層領域における絶縁性粒子の含有率よりも大きくなっていることによって、当該蓄電素子において、通常の使用状態ではないが何らかの原因により蓄電素子が過熱状態となってセパレータ5が熱収縮した場合に、中間層7の絶縁性粒子の含有率が大きく比較的電気抵抗が大きい露出領域が正極集電体6と負極板4との間に介在して短絡電流を抑制することができる。また、異物が露出領域に付着することで、異物が極板間に侵入するのを防ぐことができるので、異物混入による短絡等を防ぐことができる。
前記実施形態は、本発明の構成を限定するものではない。従って、前記実施形態は、本明細書の記載及び技術常識に基づいて前記実施形態各部の構成要素の省略、置換又は追加が可能であり、それらは全て本発明の範囲に属するものと解釈されるべきである。
絶縁性粒子としてのアルミナとN-メチル-2-ピロリドンとを質量比50:50で混合し、凝集抑制剤としての高分子界面活性剤をアルミナの質量に対して4質量%加えて混練することで、固形分比率が約50%の予備塗工液を調製した。この予備塗工液に、アセチレンブラック(導電性粒子)及びポリフッ化ビニリデン(バインダー)を、アルミナとアセチレンブラックとポリフッ化ビニリデンの質量比が77:8:15になるように加えて混練することで本塗工液を得た。本塗工液の固形分比率が18%になるように調整した。

- 集電体と、
前記集電体に積層される中間層と、
前記中間層に積層される活物質層とを有し、
前記中間層が導電性粒子及び絶縁性粒子を含み、
前記中間層の端縁の少なくとも一部は前記活物質層が積層されておらず、
前記中間層の前記活物質層が積層されていない領域における前記絶縁性粒子の質量含有率が、前記中間層の前記活物質層が積層されている領域における前記絶縁性粒子の質量含有率よりも大きく、
前記中間層全体における前記絶縁性粒子の質量含有率が40質量%以上である
極板。 - 前記導電性粒子が炭素材であり、前記絶縁性粒子がアルミナである
請求項1に記載の極板。 - 前記中間層が前記絶縁性粒子の凝集を調節する凝集抑制剤をさらに含む
