Description
1.発明の分野
本発明は、金属加工液(metal working fluid)及びその使用に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、水性アルカリ性金属加工液及びその濃縮物、並びに微生物増殖の可能性を低減させながらそれらを使用するためのプロセスに関する。該プロセスは、水性アルカリ性金属加工液又は金属加工環境中のマイコバクテリウム(Mycobacterium)の存在を減少させる。
非水性、油性の機能性流体組成物のコストの増大及び処分の問題は、水性の機能性流体組成物の需要を加速させている。水性金属加工液は、その経済的な、環境上の、また安全上の利点のために、非水性金属加工液よりも重要性が高まっている。水性の金属加工液は、当技術分野でよく知られているチップ成形及び非チップ成形金属加工プロセス、例えば、穿孔、タッピング、ブローチング、研削、圧延、延伸、スピニング加工、フライス加工、曲げ加工、旋削、及びスタンピングに使用されている。
a)式Iaの各R1が、独立して、C6~C8アルキルであり得る、金属加工液;
b)式Ibの各R2が、独立して、C6~C7アルキルであり得る、金属加工液;
c)式Iaにおいて、C5~C10アルキルが、ジメチルヘキシル、エチルヘキシル、ヘプチル、又はオクチルを含む、金属加工液;
d)式Ibにおいて、C5~C8アルキルがペンタメチレンを含み、C6シクロアルキレンがシクロヘキシレンを含む、金属加工液;
e)水性アルカリ性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、約0.2~15重量%、好ましくは1~7重量%の少なくとも1種のアミンを含む、金属加工液;
f)エーテル基を含むアミン、トリアジン、ホウ素、ジシクロヘキシルアミン、及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される少なくとも1種の材料を含まない、金属加工液;
g)約0.2~20重量%の酸系pH緩衝剤、及び最大25重量%の非ゼロ量の有機アミンpH緩衝剤を含む、金属加工液;
h)水、少なくとも1種のpH緩衝剤、殺生物剤、消泡剤、及び任意選択で、腐食防止剤、乳化剤、又は潤滑剤添加物を、望ましくは、水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、約0.05~2重量%の殺生物剤、約0.05~2重量%の消泡剤、約0.2~20重量%のpH緩衝剤、最大25重量%の非ゼロ量の乳化剤、又はそれらの組み合わせを含む、金属加工液;

水性アルカリ性金属加工液は、少なくとも1種の式(Ia)、(Ib)、又は(Ic)のアミンを含む:
式IaにおけるR1は、独立して、C2~C18アルキル又はC4~C16アルキルであり得る。あるいは、R1は、独立して、C5~C12アルキルであり得る。好ましくは、少なくとも1つのR1がC6~C8アルキルである。さらにより好ましくは、式Iaのアミンは、ジメチルヘキシルアミン、2-エチルヘキシルアミン、ヘプチルアミン、又はオクチルアミンであり得る。

最小発育阻止濃度試験(MIC)
静生物剤候補の最小発育阻止濃度(minimum inhibitory concentration)を決定するための接種ブロスは、金属加工環境で過去に使用されており、かつ細菌源としてグラム陰性細菌の存在の検査で過去に陽性を示した従来の水性半合成金属加工液を使用して、微生物産業で知られているように調製した。先ず金属加工液を培養して細菌の濃度を高め、接種物を生成した。次いで接種物を下記のように使用して、静生物剤候補を含有する金属加工液試料について最小発育阻止濃度試験を行い、金属加工液に対するアルキルアミンの阻害効果を評価した。
下記表Iに従って金属加工液を調製した:
実施例1~7及び比較例C1~C14は、アミン系静生物剤を、中間体中に、金属加工液の総重量を基準として3重量%の量で添加することによって調製した。実施例1~7及び比較例C1~C14中に添加したアミン系静生物剤の式を表IIに記載する。
実施例5はDCHAよりも優れていたが、本発明に係る実施例の中では最も僅差であった。スクリーニング試験において、DCHAに対して、同様の、しかし改善された性能を有する候補として、実施例5を、マイコバクテリウム接種金属加工液に対する静生物有効性を試験するために選択した。
Claims (21)
- 水性アルカリ性金属加工環境におけるマイコバクテリウムの濃度を低下させるプロセスであって、金属加工環境に、有効マイコバクテリウム阻害量の、1,5-ジメチルヘキシルアミン、2-エチルヘキシルアミン、ヘプチルアミン、1,4-シクロヘキサンジアミン、メチルペンタメチレンジアミン、及びトリス(2-アミノエチル)アミンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のアミンを組み込んだ水性金属加工液を提供することを含む、プロセス。
- 水性アルカリ性金属加工液が、水性アルカリ性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、0.2~15重量%の前記少なくとも1種のアミンを含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。

- 水性金属加工液が、60psiを超えるワークピース-工具接触領域加工圧力へのばく露後も、マイコバクテリウムの増殖に対して依然として有効である、請求項8に記載のプロセス。
- 少なくとも1種の腐食防止剤が、12~16個の炭素原子を有する有機カルボン酸、ベンゾトリアゾール、トリルトリアゾールのナトリウム塩、又はそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項8に記載のプロセス。
- 水性金属加工液が少なくとも1種のpH緩衝剤を含み、該少なくとも1種のpH緩衝剤が、有機アミン、カルボン酸、又はそれらの混合物を含む、請求項8に記載のプロセス。
- 水性金属加工液が、トリアジンフリー、ジシクロヘキシルアミンフリー、及び/又はホウ素フリーである、請求項8に記載のプロセス。
- 水性金属加工液が、水、少なくとも1種のpH緩衝剤、殺生物剤、乳化剤、消泡剤、又はそれらの組み合わせをさらに含む、請求項1~11及び13のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 水性金属加工液が、水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、最大99.5重量%の水を含む、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 水性金属加工液が、水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、0.05~2重量%の殺生物剤、0.05~2重量%の消泡剤、0.2~20重量%のpH緩衝剤、又はそれらの組み合わせのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- アルカリ性のpHを有し、かつ、1,5-ジメチルヘキシルアミン、2-エチルヘキシルアミン、ヘプチルアミン、1,4-シクロヘキサンジアミン、メチルペンタメチレンジアミン、及びトリス(2-アミノエチル)アミンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のアミンのマイコバクテリウム阻害性アミンを含むが、
水性金属加工液中のマイコバクテリウム阻害性アミンの含量は、水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、0.2~15重量%である、水性金属加工液。 - 水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、1~7重量%の前記少なくとも1種のアミンを含む、請求項17に記載の水性金属加工液。
- 水と、ホウ酸又はその誘導体を含まない少なくとも1種のpH緩衝剤、殺生物剤、消泡剤のうちの1又は複数と、任意選択で腐食防止剤、乳化剤、又は潤滑剤添加物と、をさらに含む、請求項17又は18に記載の水性金属加工液。
- 水性金属加工液が、エーテル基を含むアミン、トリアジン、ジシクロヘキシルアミン、ホウ素、及びそれらの組み合わせのうちの1又は複数を含まない、請求項17~19のいずれか一項に記載の水性金属加工液。
- 水性金属加工液の総重量を基準として、0.05~2重量%の殺生物剤、0.05~2重量%の消泡剤、0.2~20重量%のpH緩衝剤、又はそれらの組み合わせをさらに含む、請求項17又は18に記載の水性金属加工液。
