Claims (6)
- 超音波カテーテルアセンブリであって、
近位端から最遠位端を有する遠位端まで延びるルーメンを画定して前記近位端から前記遠位端まで延びる側壁を有するカテーテルであって、前記ルーメンは、前記近位端から前記遠位端へ治療用の流体を送達するように構成される、カテーテルと、
その周りで前記カテーテルが硬化しており、前記カテーテルの前記側壁内に埋め込まれ、前記カテーテルの超音波撮像を向上させるための1つ以上の圧電バンドとを備え、前記カテーテルにおける前記1つ以上の圧電バンドが埋め込まれた部分は折り畳まれた部分を画定し、前記折り畳まれた部分は、前記カテーテルの外径の周りに同軸に嵌合した前記1つ以上の圧電バンドの全体を覆い、前記折り畳まれた部分は前記カテーテルの残りの部分の壁の厚さよりも厚い壁の厚さを有し、前記折り畳まれた部分は、カテーテルの前記最遠位端から前記カテーテルの前記近位端と前記遠位端との間の位置まで延びることを特徴とするカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載のカテーテルアセンブリであって、
前記1つ以上の圧電バンドは、グラフェンまたは1つ以上のセラミック結晶の少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とするカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 請求項2に記載のカテーテルアセンブリであって、
前記グラフェンは、グラフェンコーティングまたはグラフェンストリップの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とするカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 超音波カテーテルアセンブリの製造方法であって、
近位端から最遠位端を有する遠位端まで延びるルーメンを形成する内側面を画定して前記近位端から前記遠位端まで延びる側壁を有するカテーテルを提供するステップであって、前記ルーメンは、前記近位端から前記遠位端へ治療用の流体を送達するように構成される、該ステップと、
1つ以上のエコー源性バンドを前記カテーテルの前記遠位端上に配置するステップと、
前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドが前記カテーテルの前記側壁内に埋め込まれるように、前記遠位端の部分が溶融して前記1つ以上のエコー源性要素の上で硬化するまで前記カテーテルの前記遠位端に加熱処理を行うステップであって、前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドの上で溶融した前記遠位端の部分が、前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドを患者から遮蔽する、該ステップとを有し、
前記カテーテルにおける前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドが埋め込まれた部分は折り畳まれた部分を画定し、前記折り畳まれた部分は、前記カテーテルの外径の周りに同軸に嵌合した前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドの全体を覆い、前記折り畳まれた部分は前記カテーテルの残りの部分の壁の厚さよりも厚い壁の厚さを有し、前記折り畳まれた部分は、カテーテルの前記最遠位端から前記カテーテルの前記近位端と前記遠位端との間の位置まで延びることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法であって、
前記1つ以上のエコー源性バンドは、前記カテーテルの超音波撮像を向上させるように構成された複数の不連続部を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項5に記載の方法であって、
前記不連続部は、エッチング、くぼみ、溝、ノッチ、凹部、ねじ山、または突起の少なくとも1つ以上を含むことを特徴とする方法。
