Claims (14)
- 基板と、
少なくとも一つの第1画素行と、前記第1画素行に隣接する第2画素行を含む複数の水平画素行と、
前記基板上の前記複数の水平画素行に配列された複数の画素と、
前記第1画素行と前記第2画素行のそれぞれに備えられた第1共通電極と、
前記第1画素行の第1共通電極と前記第2画素行の第1共通電極との間に備えられ少なくとも一つのゲートラインと、
前記少なくとも一つのゲートラインと交差して、各水平画素行に前記複数の画素を定義し、互いに離隔して交互に配列された複数のデータラインと共通ラインと、
各画素に備えられた複数の画素電極と、
前記データラインに重畳した第1共通電極パターン、前記共通ラインに重畳した第2共通電極パターン、および前記第1共通電極パターンと前記第2共通電極パターンを連結する水平連結部を含む第2共通電極と、
前記第1画素行の各画素の前記第2共通電極を隣接する前記第2画素行の画素の前記第2共通電極に接続させる交差連結部を含む、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1画素行の画素の前記第2共通電極は、前記画素を通る前記共通ラインに対して対角線方向に隣接した前記第2画素行の画素の前記第2共通電極と対称である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記隣接した画素の前記第2共通電極と前記交差連結部は同一層に位置する、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記水平連結部は、各画素において、前記データラインと前記共通ラインの間に延長して、前記水平画素行の上部及び下部のいずれか一方に位置する、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記基板と対向する対向基板と、
前記基板及び前記対向基板の間の液晶層とをさらに含み、
前記液晶層を通過する光は前記基板を通して出射し、前記第2共通電極は前記データライン及び共通ラインより液晶層に近い、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ゲートラインは、前記第1画素行と前記第2画素行の前記第1共通電極の間に配置された一対の第1ゲートライン及び第2ゲートラインを含む、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1共通電極は前記基板上の外郭に位置し、前記ゲートラインと同一層のパッド電極と接続される、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1共通電極上にゲート絶縁膜と、
前記データライン及び共通ライン上に層間絶縁膜とをさらに含み、
前記第1共通電極は前記基板上に形成され、
前記データライン及び前記共通ラインは前記ゲート絶縁膜上に形成され、
前記画素電極、前記第1共通電極パターン及び前記第2共通電極パターンは前記層間絶縁膜上に形成された、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ゲート絶縁膜上に半導体層をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データライン及び共通ラインが前記半導体層上に形成される、請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1共通電極がプレート形であり、前記画素電極がフィンガー形である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2共通電極パターンが前記共通ラインと接続される、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1及び第2共通電極パターン、前記水平連結部及び前記交差連結部は同一層に位置する、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記少なくとも一つのゲートラインと前記第1共通電極は同一層に位置する、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
