Description
本実施形態における情報処理装置1は、図1に示すように、携帯情報端末であるスマートフォン3と、読み取りユニットであるRFIDリーダユニット(以下、「RFIDユニット」といい、符号を"5"を付す。)と、接続ユニット7と、を備える。
携帯情報端末は、スマートフォン3に限られず、タブレットPCであっても良い。
RFIDユニット5の構成は上述の構成に限られたものではなく、例えば、RFタグ自体がバッテリーを備え、周期的に信号を送信するものであれば、RFIDユニット5にはRFID用送信部65が設けられていなくてもよい。また、RFIDユニット5は、突出電極47の電源用端子を介して接続ユニット7から得た電源で駆動される態様のほか、ユニット本体45内にバッテリーを備え、当該バッテリーから供給される電力によって駆動されてもよい。さらに、RFIDユニット5の電源のON/OFFを切り替えるスイッチ(不図示)を別途備えていてもよい。
BCユニット73の構成も上述の構成に限られたものではなく、例えばCCD(Charge-Coupled Device)イメージセンサによってバーコードを読み取る方式や、バーコードにレーザを照射し、反射光を受光素子で受光する方式を用いていてもよい。また、BCユニット73は、突出電極77の電源用端子を介して接続ユニット7から得た電源で駆動される態様のほか、ユニット本体75内にバッテリーを備え、当該バッテリーから供給される電力によって駆動されてもよい。さらに、BCユニット73の電源のON/OFFを切り替えるスイッチ(不図示)を別途備えていてもよい。
RFIDユニット5やBCユニット73は、読み取りを指令する信号をCPU59,87に入力するスイッチ(不図示)を有してもよい。この場合CPU59,87は、スイッチからの入力を受けると、読み取り処理を実行し、読み取ったデータを接続ユニット7に送信する。そして、接続ユニット7のCPU39は、RFIDユニット5やBCユニット73からデータを受信すると、携帯情報端末からのリクエストを受けるまで、受信したデータをメモリ41に格納する。そして、接続ユニット7のCPUは、携帯情報端末からのリクエストを受信すると、メモリからデータを読み出して、携帯情報端末へと送信する。
読み取りユニットは、RFIDユニット5やBCユニット73の他、ICカードに格納されたデータを読み取るカードリーダユニットや、生体認証等を行う生体認証ユニット等を別途用いてもよく、読み取る情報媒体に合わせて適宜に変更することができる。
読み取りユニットと接続ユニット7の着脱機構は、上記した係合突起37と係合溝35による態様に限定されず、例えば両ユニットの接合箇所に磁石を設け、その磁力によって読み取りユニットが接続ユニット7に取り付けられてもよい。
読み取りユニットと接続ユニット7の接続端子は、上記した突出電極47,77とパターン電極27の接触による態様に限定されず、読み取りユニットと接続ユニット7の着脱機構に応じて他のコネクタなどを用いることができる。
以下、本発明の実施形態2について説明する。なお、実施形態1と同じ構成については、同じ符号を付すこととし、説明を省略する。

Claims (6)
- 端子を有する携帯情報端末と、情報媒体からデータを読み取る、端子を有する携帯型の読み取りユニットとを接続する携帯型の接続ユニットであって、
前記携帯情報端末の端子に接触して前記携帯情報端末と電気的に接続される第1端子部と、
前記読み取りユニットの端子に接触して前記読み取りユニットと電気的に接続される第2端子部と、
前記第1端子部と前記第2端子部との間に介設され、前記携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットを接続する電路と、
前記携帯情報端末に装着された状態で、前記読み取りユニットが着脱される本体と、
を備え、
前記本体は、前記携帯情報端末の背面に沿って配され、当該携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットの間に介在する板状部を有し、
前記板状部の板面は、前記携帯情報端末の背面よりも面積が小さく、当該背面に対向する読み取りユニットの対向面よりも面積が小さい、ことを特徴とする接続ユニット。 - 前記本体は磁石を備え、前記磁石によって前記読み取りユニットが前記本体に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の接続ユニット。
- 前記本体は、前記読み取りユニットに対してスライドさせることにより着脱されることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の接続ユニット。
- 前記第2端子部は、同心円状に形成された複数の電極であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3の何れか1項に記載の接続ユニット。
- 前記本体は、
前記第1端子部が設けられた第1の本体部分と、
前記第2端子部が設けられた前記板状部と、を有し、
前記読み取りユニットが取り付けられたとき、前記携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットの間にサンドイッチされた状態で、前記板状部が前記携帯情報端末の背面に隠れるように配置され、
前記板状部は、前記携帯情報端末に対向する第1の面と、当該第1の面とは反対側の第2の面とを含み、当該第2の面に前記第2端子部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4の何れか1項に記載の接続ユニット。 - 端子を有する携帯情報端末と、
端子を有し、情報媒体からデータを読み取る1又は複数の携帯型の読み取りユニットと、
前記携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットとを接続する携帯型の接続ユニットと、
を含み、
前記接続ユニットは、
前記携帯情報端末の端子に接触して前記携帯情報端末と電気的に接続される第1端子部と、
前記読み取りユニットの端子に接触して前記読み取りユニットと電気的に接続される第2端子部と、
前記第1端子部と前記第2端子部との間に介設され、前記携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットを接続する電路と、
前記携帯情報端末に装着された状態で、前記読み取りユニットが着脱される本体と、
を備え、
前記本体は、前記携帯情報端末の背面に沿って配され、当該携帯情報端末と前記読み取りユニットの間に介在する板状部を有し、
前記板状部の板面は、前記携帯情報端末の背面よりも面積が小さく、当該背面に対向する読み取りユニットの対向面よりも面積が小さい、ことを特徴とする情報処理装置。
