Abstract
Description
陰極体は、電解コンデンサの陰極側に配置される電極である。この陰極体が配置される電解コンデンサとしては、例えば、電解液、ゲル電解質又は両方を用いた電解コンデンサ、導電性高分子と電解液又はゲル電解質を含む固体電解質を用いた所謂ハイブリッド型の電解コンデンサが挙げられる。
電解コンデンサは、この陰極体を備えるコンデンサ素子をケースに収容して、封口体でケース開口を封止して成る。ケースは、アルミニウム、アルミニウム若しくはマンガンを含有するアルミニウム合金、又はステンレス製であり、有底及び他端が開口の例えば筒体である。このケースは、加締め加工によって、ケースの開口が内側へ折り曲げて潰され、封口体が密着する。封口体は、例えばフェノール樹脂などの樹脂を含む樹脂板、またはゴムなどの弾性体により形成される。
陽極体は、弁作用金属を材料とする陽極箔の表面に誘電体酸化皮膜が形成されて成る。弁作用金属は、アルミニウム、タンタル、ニオブ、酸化ニオブ、チタン、ハフニウム、ジルコニウム、亜鉛、タングステン、ビスマス及びアンチモン等である。純度は、陽極箔に関して99.9%以上が望ましいが、ケイ素、鉄、銅、マグネシウム、亜鉛等の不純物が含まれていても良い。
セパレータは、クラフト、マニラ麻、エスパルト、ヘンプ、レーヨン等のセルロース及びこれらの混合紙、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、それらの誘導体などのポリエステル系樹脂、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン系樹脂、ポリフッ化ビニリデン系樹脂、ビニロン系樹脂、脂肪族ポリアミド、半芳香族ポリアミド、全芳香族ポリアミド等のポリアミド系樹脂、ポリイミド系樹脂、ポリエチレン樹脂、ポリプロピレン樹脂、トリメチルペンテン樹脂、ポリフェニレンサルファイド樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ポリビニルアルコール樹脂等が挙げられ、これらの樹脂を単独で又は混合して用いることができる。
電解質は、電解液を用いた電解コンデンサの場合、溶媒に対して溶質を溶解し、また必要に応じて添加剤が添加された電解液である。溶媒はプロトン性の極性溶媒又は非プロトン性の極性溶媒の何れでもよい。プロトン性の極性溶媒として、一価アルコール類、及び多価アルコール類、オキシアルコール化合物類、水などが代表として挙げられる。非プロトン性の極性溶媒としては、スルホン系、アミド系、ラクトン類、環状アミド系、ニトリル系、オキシド系などが代表として挙げられる。
Claims (10)
- 電解コンデンサの陰極体であって、
弁作用金属の陰極箔と、
当該陰極箔の表面に形成され、炭素材料を含む導電層と、
を備え、
電解液に浸漬したときの自然浸漬電位が、前記弁作用金属と同種で純度99.99%以上の対照陰極箔を同じ電解液に浸漬したときの自然浸漬電位よりも、0.4V以上貴側であること、
を特徴とする陰極体。 - 電気化学的分極により電解コンデンサの漏れ電流の電流密度の範囲に収まる電流が流れるとき、当該電流に対応する電位が、前記対照陰極箔の自然浸漬電位よりも貴側であること、
を特徴とする請求項1記載の陰極体。 - 電解液に浸漬したときの自然浸漬電位が、前記対照陰極箔を同じ電解液に浸漬したときの自然浸漬電位よりも、0.6V以上貴側であること、
を特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の陰極体。 - 電気化学的分極により電解コンデンサの漏れ電流の電流密度の範囲に収まる電流が流れるとき、前記電解液がニトロ化合物を含む場合、当該電流に対応する電位が、前記対照陰極箔の自然浸漬電位よりも0.15V以上貴側であること、
を特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の陰極体。 - 電気化学的分極により電解コンデンサの漏れ電流の電流密度の範囲に収まる電流が流れるとき、前記電解液がニトロ化合物を含まない場合、当該電流に対応する電位が、前記対照陰極箔の自然浸漬電位よりも0.3V以上貴側であること、
を特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の陰極体。 - 分極曲線において、電解コンデンサの漏れ電流の電流密度の範囲と、電解液中の溶存酸素を還元するカソード反応により生じる電流が水素イオンを還元するカソード反応により生じる電流よりも大きくなる電位範囲とが対応すること、
を特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の陰極体。 - 前記弁作用金属はアルミニウムであること、
を特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れかに記載の陰極体。 - 前記対照陰極箔は自然酸化皮膜が形成されていること、
を特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れかに記載の陰極体。 - 請求項1乃至8の何れかに記載の陰極体を備える電解コンデンサ。
- 誘電体酸化皮膜が形成された陽極体と前記陰極体とを含むコンデンサ素子と、
前記コンデンサ素子内に充填された電解質及びニトロ化合物と、
を備えること、
を特徴とする請求項9記載の電解コンデンサ。
