Description
本出願は、2016年1月5日に出願された米国仮出願第62/275,044の優先権及び利益を主張するものであり、その開示全体が本明細書によって参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本出願は、1種以上の難燃剤、例えば、1種以上の配合された難燃性材料または難燃性材料の混合物を含む複合体物品に関する。所定の構成では、第1の熱可塑性材料、複数の強化繊維及び配合された難燃性材料からの第2の熱可塑性材料を含む熱可塑性コアを含む複合体物品が記載されている。
所定の実施形態を添付の図面を参照して説明する。
未使用のポリプロピレン(PP)、ガラス繊維及びポリプロピレンが配合された水酸化マグネシウム(MDH)(7:3のMDH:PP比)を使用して分散体を調製した。分散は、60重量パーセントのガラス繊維及び40重量パーセントのPPを含む混合物に約40重量パーセントのMDH:PPを添加することを含んでいた。混合物を混合タンクを使用して掻き混ぜ、ワイヤスクリーン上に敷設した。液体を除去して3つの成分を残すために吸引を適用した。ウェブを加熱してPP材料を溶融させた。加熱後、ウェブを冷却し、白色ボードを形成させた。2009年のASTM E84に規定されたプロトコルに従ってボードを試験した。ボードは、ASTM E84試験下のクラスA基準に適合していた。
未使用のポリプロピレン(PP)、ガラス繊維、水酸化マグネシウム(MDH)及び膨張性グラファイト材料(Asbury3335EG)を使用して分散体を調製した。分散体は、約3重量パーセントのEG、様々な量のMDH(以下の表1参照)、約38~44重量パーセントのガラス繊維を含み、残りの重量パーセント(45~55重量パーセント)は、存在する難燃性材料の正確な量に応じてPPであった。各混合物を混合タンクを使用して掻き混ぜ、ワイヤスクリーン上に敷設した。4つの成分を残して液体を除去するために吸引を適用した。ウェブを加熱してPPを溶融させた。加熱後、ウェブを冷却し、ボードを形成させた。異なる量のMDHを有する各ボードを約6mmの厚さに成形した。ボードの全体の坪量は約1200gsmであった。
Claims (12)
- 熱可塑性複合体物品であって、
複数の強化ガラス繊維、第1ポリプロピレン材料、及び配合された難燃性材料を含む多孔質コア層を含み、
前記配合された難燃性材料は、水酸化物難燃性材料または膨張性グラファイト材料と配合された第2ポリプロピレン材料を含み、
前記多孔質コア層は、前記配合された難燃性材料中に存在する前記第1ポリプロピレン材料および前記第2ポリプロピレン材料によって一緒に保持された前記強化ガラス繊維を含む連続気泡構造のウェブを含み、
前記多孔質コア層の多孔度は、前記多孔質コア層の総体積を基準として0%より高く、最大95体積%であり、
前記配合された難燃性材料は、前記熱可塑性複合体物品が2009年のASTM E84によって試験されるクラスA基準に適合するのに有効な量で存在し、
前記多孔質コア層はハロゲンを含まない、熱可塑性複合体物品。 - 前記配合された難燃性材料は、前記第2ポリプロピレン材料と配合された水酸化マグネシウム材料を含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記水酸化マグネシウム材料:前記第2ポリプロピレン材料の比は、2:1、3:1、3:2、5:2、7:2、4:3、5:3、7:3、8:3、5:4、7:4、9:4、11:4、6:5、7:5、8:5、9:5、11:5、または13:5である、請求項2に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記多孔質コア層中に難燃剤を更に含み、前記難燃剤は、N、P、As、Sb、Bi、S、Se、またはTeのうちの少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記多孔質コア層中にロフト剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記多孔質コア層上に配置されたスキン層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記配合された難燃性材料は、前記第2ポリプロピレン材料と配合された水酸化マグネシウム材料を含む、請求項6に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記配合された難燃性材料の前記第2ポリプロピレン材料は、前記第1ポリプロピレン材料と同じポリプロピレン材料を含み、前記水酸化マグネシウム材料:前記第2ポリプロピレン材料の比は、2:1、3:1、3:2、5:2、7:2、4:3、5:3、7:3、8:3、5:4、7:4、9:4、11:4、6:5、7:5、8:5、9:5、11:5、または13:5である、請求項7に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- N、P、As、Sb、Bi、S、Se、またはTeのうちの少なくとも1種を含む追加の難燃剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記多孔質コア層中にロフト剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記水酸化物難燃性材料は水酸化マグネシウムであり、前記水酸化マグネシウムは前記多孔質コア層の第1の表面から前記多孔質コア層の第2の表面まで実質的に均一な分布を有する、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
- 前記水酸化物難燃性材料の平均粒子サイズは、前記第2ポリプロピレン材料の平均粒子サイズと実質的に同じである、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合体物品。
