Claims (4)
- 光学系を有するレーザー照射ユニットと、
一端開口部から他端開口部まで延在する内側空間を有するシュラウドと、
前記シュラウドの一端開口部に配置され、前記レーザー照射ユニットから発せられたレーザー光を前記シュラウドの内側空間に透過させて他端開口部を通じて前記シュラウドの外部空間に通過させる一方、前記レーザー照射ユニットを前記シュラウドの内側空間から遮断する保護部材と、を備え、
造形エリアに形成された粉体層に対して、前記レーザー照射ユニットから発せられるレーザー光を、駆動機構により照射位置を変化させながら、前記シュラウドの内側空間を通じて照射し、前記粉体層を構成する粉体を焼結または溶融固化させる工程を繰り返すことにより3次元の造形物を作製する3次元造形装置であって、
前記シュラウドが、
前記内側空間を画定し、かつ、当該内側空間に給気するための給気口が、前記シュラウドの他端開口部よりも前記シュラウドの一端開口部に対して近い位置に設けられている内側隔壁部と、
前記内側空間の外側において、前記シュラウドの他端開口部において開口する一方、前記シュラウドの他端開口部よりも一端開口部に近い位置で閉じている外側空間を前記内側隔壁部とともに画定し、かつ、当該外側空間から排気するための排気口が設けられている外側隔壁部と、を備え、
前記他端開口部における前記内側空間の通気面積が、前記他端開口部よりも前記一端開口部に近い上流側部分における前記内側空間の通気面積よりも大きく、
前記シュラウドの内側空間の延在方向について、前記シュラウドの他端開口部における前記外側隔壁部の端部が、前記シュラウドの他端開口部における前記内側隔壁部の端部よりも遠くに位置し、
前記外側隔壁部に設けられた前記排気口と前記シュラウドの他端開口部との距離が、前記排気口と前記シュラウドの一端開口部との距離に比べて長いことを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記上流側部分から前記他端開口部にかけて前記内側空間の通気面積が断続的または連続的に増加することを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記上流側部分としての前記給気口が設けられた部分から前記他端開口部にかけて前記内側空間の通気面積が断続的または連続的に増加することを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1〜3のうちいずれか1項に記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記内側隔壁部に設けられた前記給気口が、不活性ガスをレーザー光の経路に向けて前記内側空間に導入するように構成されていることを特徴とする3次元造形装置。
