- 光学系を有するレーザー照射ユニットと、
相互に独立している第1内部空間および第2内部空間を内部に有する側壁部と、前記第1内部空間に給気するための給気口と、前記第2内部空間から排気するための排気口と、一端開口部と、他端開口部と、前記側壁部の一部をそれぞれ構成する第1通気性部材及び第2通気性部材により画定されて前記一端開口部から前記他端開口部まで延在する内部空間とを有するシュラウドと、
前記シュラウドの前記一端開口部に配置され、前記レーザー照射ユニットから発せられたレーザー光を前記内部空間に透過させて前記他端開口部を通じて前記シュラウドの外部空間に通過させる一方、前記レーザー照射ユニットを前記内部空間から遮断する保護部材と、を備え、
造形エリアに形成された粉体層に対して、前記レーザー照射ユニットから発せられるレーザー光を、駆動機構により照射位置を変化させながら、前記シュラウドの前記内部空間を通じて照射し、前記粉体層を構成する粉体を焼結または溶融固化させる工程を繰り返すことにより3次元の造形物を作製する3次元造形装置であって、
前記側壁部の一部が、前記第1内部空間および前記内部空間を隔てる、メッシュまたは多孔質体により構成されている第1通気性部材と、前記内部空間および前記第2内部空間を隔てる、メッシュまたは多孔質体により構成されている第2通気性部材と、により構成されていることを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記第2通気性部材を構成するメッシュの目開きおよび開口率のうち少なくとも一方が、前記第1通気性部材を構成するメッシュの目開きおよび開口率のうち少なくとも一方よりも大きいこと、あるいは、
前記第2通気性部材を構成する多孔質体の平均気孔径および気孔率のうち少なくとも一方が、前記第1通気性部材を構成する多孔質体の平均気孔径および気孔率のうち少なくとも一方よりも大きいことを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記第1通気性部材および前記第2通気性部材のうち少なくとも1つの通気性部材が、前記シュラウドの一端開口部から他端開口部にかけて通気性が断続的または連続的に低くなるように構成されていることを特徴とする3次元造形装置。 - 請求項1記載の3次元造形装置において、
前記第1通気性部材および前記第2通気性部材のうち少なくとも1つの通気性部材が、前記シュラウドの一端開口部から他端開口部にかけてメッシュの目開きおよび開口率のうち少なくとも一方、または、多孔質体の平均気孔径および気孔率のうち少なくとも一方が断続的または連続的に低くなるように構成されていることを特徴とする3次元造形装置。
