3297gのテレフタル酸(19.85mol)、1516gのエチレングリコール(24.42mol)、348gのイソソルビド(2.38mol)を投入し、触媒として0.86gのGeO2、0.72gのSb2O3、安定剤としてリン酸(phosphoric acid)2.35g、呈色剤としてはコバルトアセテート(cobalt acetate)0.34gを用いた。
2190gのジメチルテレフタレート(11.3mol)、1500gのエチレングリコール(24.2mol)、60gのイソソルビド(0.41mol)を投入し、触媒および呈色剤の用途で二酢酸マンガン(II)四水和物(manganese(II)acetate tetrahydrate)0.8g、酸化アンチモン(III)(antimony(III)oxide)0.98g、酢酸コバルト(III)四水和物(cobalt(III)acetate tetrahydrate)0.6gを投入した後、反応器に窒素を流しながら反応器の温度を150℃まで60分にかけて上げた。以降、窒素パージングを中止して反応器の温度を250℃まで2時間にかけて上げながら反応副産物であるメタノールを収集した。そして、反応器コラムの温度が落ちてメタノールの発生が終了したことが確認される時まで反応を進行した。
3297gのテレフタル酸(19.85mol)、1269gのエチレングリコール(20.4mol)、435gのイソソルビド(2.98mol)を投入し、触媒として0.86gのGeO2、0.72gのSb2O3、安定剤としてリン酸(phosphoric acid)2.35g、呈色剤としてはコバルトアセテート(cobalt acetate)0.34gを用いた。
4000gのジメチルテレフタレート(20.6mol)、1860gのエチレングリコール(30.0mol)、595gのイソソルビド(4.07mol)を投入し、触媒としてテトラ−n−ブトキシチタン(tetra−n−butoxy titanium)、二酢酸マンガン(II)四水和物(manganese(II)acetate tetrahydrate)を金属基準に8ppm、呈色剤としてClarient社のPolysyntheren Blue RBL 6ppm、Clarient社のSandplast Red G 6ppmを投入した後、反応器に窒素を流しながら反応器の温度を150℃まで60分にかけて上げた。以降、窒素パージングを中止して反応器の温度を250℃まで2時間にかけて上げながら反応副産物であるメタノールを収集した。そして、反応器コラムの温度が落ちてメタノールの発生が終了したことが確認される時まで反応を進行した。
実施例1乃至8および比較例1乃至6で製造したポリエステル樹脂の物性を下記表1にまとめた。
Claims (15)
- テレフタル酸あるいはテレフタル酸の誘導体を含むジカルボン酸あるいはジカルボン酸の誘導体と、イソソルビドを含むジオールとが重合されて、前記ジカルボン酸あるいはジカルボン酸の誘導体から誘導された酸部分およびジオールから誘導されたジオール部分が繰り返される構造を有するポリエステル樹脂であって、
前記テレフタル酸の誘導体は、ジオールと反応してテレフタロイル部分(terephthaloyl moiety)を形成する化合物であり、
前記ジカルボン酸の誘導体は、ジカルボン酸のアルキルエステルあるいはジカルボン酸の無水物であり、
ジオールから誘導された全体のジオール部分に対してイソソルビドから誘導されたジオール部分が7乃至20モル%であり、
オルトクロロフェノールに1.2g/dlの濃度に150℃で15分間溶解して35℃で測定した固有粘度が0.85dl/g以上であり、ガラス転移温度が87℃以上であり、示差走査熱量計(DSC)を通じた1次スキャンの際に測定された溶融エンタルピー(enthalpy of fusion)が40J/g以上である、

請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 前記ジカルボン酸あるいは前記ジカルボン酸の誘導体は、テレフタル酸あるいはテレフタル酸の誘導体以外のジカルボン酸あるいはジカルボン酸の誘導体として、炭素数8乃至14の芳香族ジカルボン酸あるいは炭素数8乃至14の芳香族ジカルボン酸の誘導体、および炭素数4乃至12の脂肪族ジカルボン酸あるいは炭素数4乃至12の脂肪族ジカルボン酸の誘導体からなる群より選択された1種以上を、全体のジカルボン酸あるいは全体のジカルボン酸の誘導体に対して0乃至50モル%で含む、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - ジオールから誘導された全体のジオール部分に対してイソソルビドから誘導されたジオール部分が7乃至11モル%である、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 全体のジオール由来の残基に対してジエチレングリコール由来の残基を6モル%以下含む、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 前記ポリエステル樹脂から得た厚さ6mmの試片に対してASTM D1003−97により測定されたヘイズが1%未満である、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 熱変形温度(heat deflection temperature;HDT)が75℃以上である、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 数平均分子量が15,000乃至50,000g/molである、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - 瓶、高温瓶(hot fill jar)または高圧容器として用いられる、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - シート、延伸フィルムまたは繊維として用いられる、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂。 - (a)テレフタル酸あるいはテレフタル酸の誘導体を含む(i)ジカルボン酸あるいはジカルボン酸の誘導体と、全体のジオールに対して7モル%以上のイソソルビドを含む(ii)ジオールとのエステル化反応またはエステル交換反応段階;
(b)オルトクロロフェノールに1.2g/dlの濃度に150℃で15分間溶解して35℃で測定した固有粘度が0.40dl/g乃至0.60dl/gに到達するように前記エステル化またはエステル交換反応生成物を重縮合反応する段階;
(c)重縮合反応で製造されたポリマーを結晶化する段階;および
(d)オルトクロロフェノールに1.2g/dlの濃度に150℃で15分間溶解して35℃で測定した固有粘度が0.85dl/g以上の値に到達するように結晶化されたポリマーを固相重合する段階を含む、
請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂の製造方法。 - (ii)ジオール中の一部を反応中に投入する、
請求項11に記載のポリエステル樹脂の製造方法。 - 前記(a)エステル化反応またはエステル交換反応の開始前のスラリーにあるいは反応完了後の生成物に重縮合触媒、安定剤、呈色剤、結晶化剤、酸化防止剤または分岐剤を添加する、
請求項11に記載のポリエステル樹脂の製造方法。 - (d)固相重合する段階で結晶化されたポリマーを30時間以上固相重合する、
請求項11に記載のポリエステル樹脂の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載のポリエステル樹脂から形成された樹脂成形品。
