- Fe(II)イオン及びFe(III)イオンのうち少なくとも一つと錯体を形成することが可能で、そのFe(II)イオン及びFe(III)イオンのうち少なくとも一つとの錯体の、室温(約25℃)での水溶液中の安定度定数logKが、6.0以上であり、且つ、Mg(II)イオンとも錯体を形成することが可能で、そのMg(II)イオンとの錯体の、室温(約25℃)での水溶液中の安定度定数logKが、4.0以上であるキレート剤を含む、マグネシウム空気電池の電圧を増加させ且つ経時的な電圧降下を最低限に抑えるための、マグネシウム空気電池用電解質添加剤であって、

8−ヒドロキシキノリン−5−スルホン酸(8HQ SO 3 )又はピロカテコール−3,5−ジスルホン酸(タイロン)、それらの塩、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも一つ、または、
アスパラギン、システイン、それらの塩、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも一つ、を含む電解質添加剤。 - 請求項1に記載の電解質添加剤であって、
前記キレート剤の塩が、それらのアルカリ金属若しくはアルカリ土類金属の塩又はアンモニウム塩から選択される電解質添加剤。 - Fe(II)イオン及びFe(III)イオンのうち少なくとも一つと錯体を形成することが可能で、そのFe(II)イオン及びFe(III)イオンのうち少なくとも一つとの錯体の、室温(約25℃)での水溶液中の安定度定数logKが、6.0以上であり、且つ、Mg(II)イオンとも錯体を形成することが可能で、そのMg(II)イオンとの錯体の、室温(約25℃)での水溶液中の安定度定数logKが、4.0以上であるキレート剤の、マグネシウム空気電池の電解質に対する、マグネシウム空気電池の電圧を増加させ且つ経時的な電圧降下を最低限に抑えるための添加剤としての使用であって、
電解質添加剤は、サリチル酸及びその誘導体、3,4−ジヒドロキシ安息香酸、それらの塩、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも一つを含むか、または、
電解質添加剤は、8−ヒドロキシキノリン−5−スルホン酸(8HQ SO 3 )又はピロカテコール−3,5−ジスルホン酸(タイロン)、それらの塩、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも一つを含むか、または、
電解質添加剤は、アスパラギン、システイン、それらの塩、及びそれらの混合物のうち少なくとも一つを含む、使用。 - 請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の電解質添加剤を含む、
マグネシウム空気電池用電解質。 - 請求項4に記載の電解質であって、
アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の塩化物、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の硝酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の亜硝酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属のチオシアン酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の硫酸塩、又はそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの無機塩を含む水溶液である電解質。 - 請求項5に記載の電解質であって、
前記少なくとも一つの無機塩を、前記電解質の総容積に対して、0.05〜1mol/Lの濃度で含む電解質。 - 請求項4〜6のいずれか一項に記載の電解質であって、
前記キレート剤が、前記電解質の総容積に対して、1.0×10-5〜2.0mol/Lの濃度でその中に存在する電解質。 - マグネシウム又はマグネシウム合金を含むか、それから構成される少なくとも一つのアノードと、少なくとも一つのカソードと、前記少なくとも一つのアノード及びカソードと組み合わせられた電解質とを備えるマグネシウム空気電池において、
前記電解質が、請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の電解質添加剤を少なくとも一つ含む
ことを特徴とするマグネシウム空気電池。 - 請求項8に記載のマグネシウム空気電池であって、
前記カソードが、ガス拡散電極であるマグネシウム空気電池。 - 請求項8又は9に記載のマグネシウム空気電池であって、
前記電解質が、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の塩化物、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の硝酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の亜硝酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属のチオシアン酸塩、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の硫酸塩、又はそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの無機塩を含む水溶液であるマグネシウム空気電池。 - 請求項10に記載のマグネシウム空気電池であって、
前記電解質が、前記少なくとも一つの無機塩を、前記電解質の総容積に対して、0.05〜1mol/Lの濃度で含むマグネシウム空気電池。 - 請求項8〜10に記載のマグネシウム空気電池であって、
前記電解質添加剤が、前記電解質の総容積に対して、1.0×10-5〜2.0mol/Lの濃度で前記電解質中に存在するマグネシウム空気電池。
