Description
図1は、第一実施形態に係るハイブリッド車両1の構成を概略的に示す図である。図1に示したように、車両1は、内燃機関10と、第1電動発電機12と、第2電動発電機14と、動力分割機構16と、を備える。加えて、車両1は、第1電動発電機12及び第2電動発電機14に電気的に接続されたパワーコントロールユニット(PCU)18と、PCU18に電気的に接続されたバッテリ20と、電子制御ユニット(ECU)30とを備える。
図2は、ハイブリッド車両1に搭載される内燃機関10の構成を概略的に示す図である。図2に示したように、内燃機関10は、機関本体40、燃料供給装置43、吸気系50、排気系60を備える。機関本体40は、複数の気筒41を備えると共に、各気筒41内には混合気が燃焼する燃焼室が形成される。各気筒41には、各気筒41の燃焼室内の混合気に点火するための点火プラグ(図示せず)が設けられてもよい。
次に、図3及び図4を参照して、基本的なハイブリッド車両1の運転制御について説明する。図3は要求トルクと運転状態の関係を示す図であり、図4は燃費が最も良くなる機関トルク(以下、「燃費最適トルク」という)を機関回転速度毎に示す図である。
ところで、バッテリ20の満充電容量に対する現在の充電容量の比率であるSOC(State of Charge:充電率)が低いときには、電動発電機12、14によって発電を行い、発電によって得られた電力をバッテリ20に充電することができる。しかしながら、バッテリ20に充電できる電力量は限られているため、SOCが高いときには、バッテリ20への充電をそれ以上行うことができず、よって電動発電機12、14による発電を行うことができない。
ところで、ハイブリッド車両1への要求トルクがTe1以上であって内燃機関10を作動させなければ要求トルクを満たせない場合、バッテリ20のSOCを減少させる方法としては、主に二つの方法が考えられる。
そこで、本実施形態では、燃料節約率が最大となるような目標運転点の探索を行うと共に、燃料節約率が最大となる運転点でハイブリッド車両1が運転されるように電動過給器54、電動発電機12、14及び内燃機関10を制御するようにしている。以下では、燃料節約率が最大となるような目標運転点の探索方法について図8及び図9を参照して説明する。
ところで、図8に示した機関出力と、電動過給器による過給度合いと、内燃機関10の燃費との関係は、全ての運転状態で同一ではなく、内燃機関10の運転状態に応じて変化する。具体的には、これらの関係は、例えば、吸気マニホルド51や吸気管52から構成される吸気通路内の吸気ガスの流量、ポンピング損失、等容度、内燃機関10におけるフリクション等に応じて変化する。
次に、図13及び図14を参照して、ハイブリッド車両1の制御について説明する。図13は、バッテリ20からの総電力供給量を増大させる電力供給促進制御の制御ルーチンを示すフローチャートである。図示した制御ルーチンは一定時間間隔毎に実行される。
上記実施形態では、ECU30上で探索によって目標運転点を算出している。しかしながら、目標運転点を必ずしも探索によって算出する必要はなく、例えば、機関出力、機関回転数、吸気ガスの流量、ポンピング損失、等容度に基づいた多次元的なマップに基づいて目標運転点を算出するようにしてもよい。この場合も、目標運転点は、現在の運転点からの燃料節約率が最大となるように目標運転点が算出される。

Claims (3)
- 動力源として内燃機関及び電動機を備えるハイブリッド車両であって、
前記内燃機関へ供給される吸気ガスを過給する電動過給器と、前記電動機及び前記電動過給器に接続されると共に前記電動機及び前記電動過給器へ電力を供給するバッテリと、前記内燃機関、前記電動機及び前記電動過給器を制御する制御装置とを備え、
前記制御装置は、前記バッテリの充電率に基づいて前記バッテリから前記電動機及び前記電動過給器への総電力供給量を増大させるときであるか否かを判定すると共に、前記バッテリからの総電力供給量を増大させるときであると判定された場合には、前記バッテリからの総電力供給量を増大させる電力供給促進制御を行い、
前記制御装置は、前記電力供給促進制御において、前記バッテリからの総電力供給量の増大分に対する前記内燃機関での燃料消費量の減少分の割合である燃料節約率が最大となるように前記電動機への電力供給量及び前記電動過給器への電力供給量を制御し、
前記制御装置は、前記電力供給促進制御では、少なくとも前記電動過給器への電力供給量、前記電動機への電力供給量及び前記内燃機関への燃料供給量から定まる運転点が或る運転点にあるときよりも前記電動機への電力供給量を増大させると共に前記内燃機関への燃料供給量を減少させつつ当該ハイブリッド車両の出力トルクを維持する第1操作を行った場合における燃料節約率と、前記運転点が前記或る運転点にあるときよりも前記電動過給器への電力供給量を増大させると共に前記内燃機関への燃料供給量を減少させつつ前記内燃機関の出力トルクを維持する第2操作を行った場合における燃料節約率とを算出し、算出された燃料節約率が大きい方の操作を実行したときに前記運転点が到達する点を更新運転点として算出する更新運転点算出制御を1回のみ又は複数回繰り返して実行すると共に、最終的に算出された更新運転点における前記電動機への電力供給量、前記電動過給器への電力供給量及び前記内燃機関への燃料供給量となるように前記電動機、前記電動過給器及び前記内燃機関を制御する、ハイブリッド車両。 - 前記電力供給促進制御では、更新運転点における前記バッテリからの総電力供給量が限界値を超えるまで繰り返し更新動作算出制御が実行され、最終的に算出された更新運転点の一つ前の運転点における前記電動過給器への電力供給量、前記電動機への電力供給量及び前記内燃機関への燃料供給量となるように前記内燃機関、前記電動機及び前記電動過給器が制御される、請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両。
