Description
水不溶性冷却剤と冷却促進剤との組み合わせを含む組成物を、HMEを介して水溶性炭水化物マトリックスにカプセル化した(表2)。
組成物1〜3(製剤1,3および4)または非カプセル化冷却剤(製剤2および5〜9)(表4)を含むチューインガムを調製した。
12名の訓練された知覚評価者からなるパネルが、製剤1、2および6を12分間咀嚼した。冷却強度は電子装置で連続的に記録された。試験は盲検化され、無作為化され、バランスが取られた。図1は、カプセル化された冷却剤混合物が、カプセル化されていない冷却剤混合物および高いレベルのWS−5単独の両方よりも優れていることを示している。
水不溶性冷却剤と冷却促進剤との組み合わせを含有する追加の組成物が(表5)に列挙されている。
製剤。ホバートミキサー中で、1.396kgのデキストリン、1.012kgのイソマルト、0.832kgの改質澱粉、0.200kgのソルビトール、0.400kgのWS−5および0.080kgの燻蒸シリカを低速で5分間混合した。続いて、0.080kgのヒマワリレシチンを上記の混合物にゆっくり加え、得られた混合物を10分間混合した。
製剤/カプセル化。WS−5の2種の異なるレベル,10%および15%を使用して、製剤を実施例5に記載のように調製した。15%WS−5製剤については、他の成分を比例的低くして、一定の総製剤量を保持した。
製剤。異なるマトリックス材料を試験するために、無糖マトリックスを高融点マトリックスと比較した。無糖マトリックスは実例5に記載のように調整された。高融点マトリックスは、1.302kgのデキストリン、1.333kgのイソマルト、0.476kgの加工デンプン、0.222kgのKLUCEL GF、0.400kgのWS−5,0.044のモノグリセリドおよび0.133kgのヒュームドシリカをホバートミキサー中で低速で5分間混合した。続いて、ヒマワリレシチン0.089kgをゆっくり加え、混合物を10分間混合した。
製剤/カプセル化。WS−3およびWS−23を含有する製剤は、WS−5の代わりにWS−3またはWS−23を用いて、実施例5に記載のように調製した。

Claims (9)
- (i)組成物の重量の5〜35%の、下記表1に記載の冷却剤からなる群から選択される1種以上の水不溶性冷却剤と、(ii)前記1種以上の水不溶性冷却剤をカプセル化する水溶性マトリックスを含み、前記水溶性マトリックスが、
(a)組成物の重量の10%〜50%の1種以上の糖または糖アルコール;
(b)組成物の重量の10%〜60%の、デキストリン、天然デンプンまたは変性デンプン、ペクチン、キサンタン、アラビアゴム、アルギン酸塩、エチルセルロース、メチルセルロースおよびヒドロキシエチルセルロースからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の水溶性炭水化物ポリマー;
(c)組成物の重量の0.1%〜10%の1種以上の乳化剤;および
(d)組成物の重量の0〜10%の1種以上の液体吸収材料、
を含み、前記水不溶性冷却剤が非晶質として分散している、組成物:
- 前記液体吸収材料が、シリカ、リン酸カルシウム、リン酸二カルシウム、タルクおよびカオリンからなる群から選択される1種または2種以上を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 冷却促進剤をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記冷却促進剤が、エリオジクチオール、ホモエリオティクチオール、ヘスパルチンおよびメントキシプロパンジオールからなる群から選択される1種または2種以上を含む、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1種の水溶性炭水化物ポリマーが、変性デンプンおよびデキストリンを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記1種以上の水不溶性冷却剤が、20℃で固体結晶性粉末または粘性液体である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記1種以上の糖アルコールが、マンニトール、ソルビトール、ラクチトール、イソマルト、エリスリトール、キシリトール、マルチトール、または水素化イソマルツロースを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の組成物を調製する方法であって、以下の工程:
a)重量の5%〜35%の、下記表1に記載の冷却剤からなる群から選択される1種以上の水不溶性冷却剤を、
(i)10%〜50%の1種以上の糖または糖アルコール;
(ii)10%〜60%の、デキストリン、天然デンプンまたは変性デンプン、ペクチン、キサンタン、アラビアゴム、アルギン酸塩、エチルセルロース、メチルセルロースおよびヒドロキシエチルセルロースからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の水溶性炭水化物ポリマー;
(iii)0.1%〜10%の1種以上の乳化剤;および
(iv)0〜10%の1種以上の液体吸収材料;
を含む水溶性マトリックスと混合して粉末混合物を製造する工程;
b)前記粉末混合物を押出機で溶融させる工程;
c)溶融した前記粉末混合物をダイを通して押し出す工程;および
d)押出された前記粉末混合物を冷却して、前記組成物を製造する工程、
を含む、方法:
- e)製造された前記組成物を顆粒または粉末形態に粉砕することをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
