Description
本願は、2013年9月16日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/878254号(係属中)の優先権を主張する。この米国仮特許出願の開示は、引用することにより、本明細書の一部をなす。
Claims (11)
- 液体接着材を接着用途に好適な塗布温度まで加熱する熱交換装置であって、
前記液体接着材の流れを受け取るように構成される入口と、前記接着用途に対して前記液体接着材を吐出装置に供給するように構成される、第1の方向に沿って前記入口に対向する出口と、を有する本体と、
前記本体内に画定され、前記入口と前記出口とを接続するとともに、前記液体接着材の流れを受け取るように構成される流体通路であって、前記入口と前記出口との間に流体流れ方向に沿う長さを有する薄いスリット部を有する流体通路と、
前記本体に熱結合されるとともに、前記薄いスリット部を通り流れる前記液体接着材を前記塗布温度まで加熱するように構成される加熱素子と、
を備え、
該薄いスリット部は、少なくとも第1の部分と前記第1の部分に概ね平行であって、前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向に沿って前記第1の部分と少なくとも部分的に整列する第2の部分とを有し、前記第1の部分は第1の流れ方向と前記第1の流れ方向に沿った第1の長さとを有し、前記第2の部分は前記第1の流れ方向に対向する第2の流れ方向と前記第2の流れ方向に沿った第2の長さとを有し、前記第1の部分及び前記第2の部分は、それぞれ前記第1の流れ方向及び前記第2の流れ方向に対して横断方向にそれぞれ第1の寸法及び第2の寸法を更に有し、
前記第1の部分の第1の寸法及び前記第1の長さは、前記第1の部分の第2の寸法よりも大きく、前記第2の部分の第1の寸法及び前記第2の長さは、前記第2の部分の第2の寸法よりも大きく、
前記薄いスリット部の輪郭は環形状であり、前記第1の寸法は該環形状の円周であり、前記第2の寸法は該環形状の径方向厚さである、熱交換装置。 - 前記本体に熱結合されるとともに、前記薄いスリット部を通り流れる前記液体接着材を前記塗布温度まで加熱するように構成される、1つ又は複数の追加の加熱素子を更に備える、請求項1に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記流体通路は、前記入口と前記薄いスリット部との間の入口部と、前記薄いスリット部と前記出口との間の出口部と、を有し、該入口部及び該出口部は、前記流体流れ方向に沿う長さと、前記流体流れ方向に対して横断方向の、第3の寸法及び第4の寸法を有する輪郭とを有し、前記第3の寸法は前記第4の寸法より大きい、請求項1に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記本体に結合され、前記流体通路を通り流れる前記液体接着材の温度を測定する温度センサーを更に備える、請求項1に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記温度センサーは、前記加熱素子に対するよりも、前記流体通路に対して近接する、請求項4に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記温度センサーから前記流体通路までの最短距離は、前記流体通路の全長の1/10未満である、請求項4に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記温度センサーはある位置に位置させ、該位置では、前記液体接着材が該位置から前記出口まで流れるのにかかる時間が、前記熱交換装置が、前記流体通路内を流れる前記液体接着材の前記温度を、所望の温度に変化させるのにかかる時間に略等しい、請求項4に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記本体は、概ね同心に構成される第1の本体セグメント、第2の本体セグメント、及び第3の本体セグメントを含み、該第2の本体セグメントは、概ね該第1の本体セグメントの径方向内側にあり、該第3の本体セグメントは、概ね該第2の本体セグメントの径方向内側にあり、
前記流体通路の前記薄いスリット部は、前記第1の本体セグメントと前記第2の本体セグメントとの間に画定される、請求項1に記載の熱交換装置。 - 前記入口は前記第3の本体セグメントにあり、前記出口は前記第2の本体セグメントにある、請求項8に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記薄いスリット部は、前記第2の本体セグメントと前記第3の本体セグメントとの間に更に画定される、請求項8に記載の熱交換装置。
- 前記加熱素子は、前記第1の本体セグメントの穴に位置する、請求項8に記載の熱交換装置。
