Description
本願は、2013年4月11日出願の米国特許出願第13/860,921号、表題「HIGH DENSITY ELECTRODE STRUCTURE」及び2013年10月25日出願の同14/063,477号、表題「CONNECTION OF ELECTRODES TO WIRES COILED ON A CORE」の一部継続出願であり、これらの開示内容の全体が、参照により、本明細書に組み込まれている。
本発明は、電気生理学(EP)カテーテルに関し、具体的には、心臓のマッピング及び/又はアブレーションのためのEPカテーテルに関する。
(1) 近位端及び遠位端と、内部を貫通する少なくとも1個のルーメンと、を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端にあるバスケット形状の電極アセンブリと、を備えるカテーテルであって、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが、複数のスパインを備え、前記複数のスパインが、これらの近位端及び遠位端において接続されており、各スパインが、複数の電極と、コア上に巻きつけられ、シースで被覆された対応する複数のワイヤを有する配線と、を備え、各電極が前記シースを通して前記複数のワイヤのうちの1本に取り付けられ、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリは、前記スパインが、径方向外側に弓状に張り出している膨張状態の配置と、前記スパインが前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配列されている収縮状態の配置と、を有する、カテーテル。
(2) 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも8個のスパインを備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(3) 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも10個のスパインを備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(4) 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも12個のスパインを備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(5) 各スパインが少なくとも10個の電極を備える、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(7) 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも12個のスパインを備え、各スパインが少なくとも16個の電極を備え、前記カテーテル本体が約10フレンチ未満の直径を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(8) 各スパインが、凹状遠位領域と、凸状中間領域と、凹状近位領域と、を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(9) 各スパインの前記遠位端を固定するキャップを更に備え、対向するスパインが、前記キャップ内の孔を通る連続材料片によって形成されている、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(10) 近位端及び遠位端を有する膨張部を更に備え、前記膨張部が前記ルーメン内に摺動自在に配置され、前記カテーテル本体の前記長手方向軸と揃っており、前記複数のスパインがそれらの遠位端において前記膨張部に取り付けられており、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリは、前記膨張部が前記カテーテル本体に対して前記長手方向軸に沿って近位に移動したときに前記膨張状態の配置を有し、前記膨張部が前記カテーテル本体に対して前記長手方向軸に沿って遠位に移動したときに前記収縮状態の配置を有する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(12) 前記可撓性ワイヤが形状記憶合金である、実施態様11に記載のカテーテル。
(13) 前記ルーメンが、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリに潅注流体を送達するように構成されている、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
Claims (11)
- 近位端及び遠位端と、内部を貫通する少なくとも1個のルーメンと、を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端にあるバスケット形状の電極アセンブリと、を備えるカテーテルであって、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが、複数のスパインを備え、前記複数のスパインが、これらの近位端及び遠位端において接続されており、各スパインが、複数の電極と、コア上に巻きつけられ、シースで被覆された対応する複数のワイヤを有する配線と、を備え、各電極が前記シースを通して前記複数のワイヤのうちの1本に取り付けられ、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリは、前記スパインが、径方向外側に弓状に張り出している膨張状態の配置と、前記スパインが前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配列されている収縮状態の配置と、を有し、
各スパインが、凹状遠位領域と、凸状中間領域と、凹状近位領域と、を有し、前記遠位領域の凹状構成が、前記中間領域によって示される曲率半径内に概ね位置され、
各スパインの前記遠位端を固定するキャップを更に備え、対向するスパインが、前記キャップ内の複数の孔を通る連続材料片によって形成され、前記複数の孔は螺旋状にオフセットされる、カテーテル。 - 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも8個のスパインを備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも10個のスパインを備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。

- 前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリが少なくとも12個のスパインを備え、各スパインが少なくとも16個の電極を備え、前記カテーテル本体が10/3mm未満の直径を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 近位端及び遠位端を有する膨張部を更に備え、前記膨張部が前記ルーメン内に摺動自在に配置され、前記カテーテル本体の前記長手方向軸と揃っており、前記複数のスパインがそれらの遠位端において前記膨張部に取り付けられており、前記バスケット形状の電極アセンブリは、前記膨張部が前記カテーテル本体に対して前記長手方向軸に沿って近位に移動したときに前記膨張状態の配置を有し、前記膨張部が前記カテーテル本体に対して前記長手方向軸に沿って遠位に移動したときに前記収縮状態の配置を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
