Description
本発明は、以下の添付図面を参照しながら、例証としてのみではあるがさらに記述する。
管状要素(例A)が、活性化可能なポリマーとしてのポリエチレンが被覆されたセルロース繊維系のウェブの細片で上述の通り製造された。
Claims (14)
- 喫煙物品のフィルターの製造において使用するための管状要素であって、前記管状要素が、セルロース繊維系のウェブ材料の実質的に連続的な細片の第一および第二の巻き層を備え、前記細片が、所定の厚さ(T)および幅(W)を持ち、ここにおいて、前記ウェブ材料が、熱活性化可能なポリマーを用いて第一の表面上に被覆され、前記活性化可能なポリマーの活性化温度は約80℃〜約200℃であり、前記第一の層における前記ウェブ材料の前記第一の表面が、前記第二の層における前記ウェブ材料の前記第一の表面と向き合い、ここにおいて、前記管状要素の最小外径と前記管状要素の最大外径は、管状要素の所与の長さにわたって、管状要素の該所与の長さにわたって算出された外径の算術平均から約10パーセント未満だけ外れている、管状要素。
- 実質的に連続的な細片の前記第一および前記第二の層がらせん状に巻かれる、請求項1に記載の管状要素。
- 実質的に連続的な細片の前記第一および前記第二の層が平行に巻かれる、請求項1に記載の管状要素。
- 前記ウェブ材料の前記厚さ(T)が少なくとも約50μmである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の管状要素。
- 前記ウェブ材料の前記厚さ(T)が約300μm未満である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の管状要素。
- ウェブ材料の前記細片の前記幅(W)が少なくとも約2.5mmである、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の管状要素。
- 前記管状要素の前記外径が約8mm未満である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の管状要素。
- 前記活性化可能なポリマーが、ポリエチレン(PE)、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、ポリエチレンテレフタラート(PET)からから成る群から選択される熱可塑性プラスチックである、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の管状要素。
- 喫煙物品のフィルターの製造において使用するための管状要素を形成する方法であって、前記方法が、
所定の厚さ(T)および幅(W)を持つセルロース繊維系のウェブ材料の第一および第二の実質的に連続的な細片を提供することであって、前記ウェブ材料が第一の表面上に熱活性化可能なポリマーを用いて被覆され、ここにおいて、前記活性化可能なポリマーの活性化温度は約80℃〜約200℃である、提供することと、
前記第一の細片の被覆された表面が前記第二の細片の被覆された表面と向き合うように、マンドレル上に実質的に連続的な管を形成するために円筒形のマンドレル要素の周りに重ね合わせて前記第一および前記第二の細片を巻き付けることであって、前記細片を前記マンドレル要素の周りに前記巻き付けることが、前記マンドレル要素と前記マンドレル要素を同軸で囲むスリーブ要素との間の隙間に前記重なり合う細片を挿入することであって、前記スリーブ要素が前記管状要素の外径に実質的に対応する内径(D)を持つ、挿入することと、前記重なり合う細片が前記スリーブ要素に対して押し付けられるように、前記重なり合う細片を前記マンドレル要素に沿った圧力に基づいて移動することとを含む、巻き付けることと、
ウェブ材料の前記第一および前記第二の細片との間にシールを形成するために前記活性化可能なポリマーを活性化することとを含む、方法。 - 前記活性化可能なポリマーを活性化することが、前記重なり合う細片が前記マンドレル要素に沿って進むように前記重なり合う細片に熱を供給することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、前記スリーブ要素として超音波振動ダイを提供することをさらに含み、前記活性化可能なポリマーを活性化することが、前記超音波振動ダイに動力を供給することを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記スリーブ要素の前記内径(D)が約8mm未満である、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記スリーブ要素の前記内径(D)が少なくとも約4mmである、請求項9〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記円筒形のマンドレル要素ならびに前記マンドレル上に実質的に連続的な管を形成するための前記第一および前記第二の細片の周りにおいて、第一の表面上に活性化可能なポリマーを用いて被覆されたセルロース繊維系のウェブ材料の少なくとも1つのさらなる細片を巻き付けることを含み、ここにおいて、前記少なくとも1つのさらなる細片の前記第一の表面が、前記第二の細片の第二の表面と向き合う、請求項9〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
