Description
図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る表示装置の平面図である。表示装置は、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置である。表示装置は、例えば、赤、緑及び青からなる複数色の単位画素(サブピクセル)を組み合わせて、フルカラーの画像を表示するようになっている。表示装置は、表示領域DA及び表示領域DAを囲む周辺領域PAを含む。周辺領域PAは表示領域DAの外側にある。周辺領域PAには、フレキシブルプリント基板10が接続されている。フレキシブルプリント基板10には、データ信号駆動用ドライバを内蔵する集積回路チップ12が搭載される。なお、タッチセンシング用のフレキシブルプリント基板を別に接続してもよい。
図6は、第2の実施形態に係る表示装置の表示領域DAの一部を拡大した図である。本実施形態では、複数の発光画素282が並ぶ複数列は、複数の第1列R1及び複数の第2列R2を含む。複数の第1列R1と複数の第2列R2とは、第1方向D1に交互に配列されている。第1列R1には、複数の第1発光画素282Aが並んでいる。第2列R2には、複数の第2発光画素282Bが並んでいる。
Claims (11)
- 第1方向に列が隣り合う複数列をなして各列では前記第1方向に直交する第2方向に並ぶ複数の発光画素を含む回路層と、
前記回路層に積層されて前記第1方向にそれぞれ延びる複数の第1タッチ電極と、
前記回路層に積層されて前記第2方向にそれぞれ延びる複数の第2タッチ電極と、
前記複数の第1タッチ電極及び前記複数の第2タッチ電極が絶縁されて立体交差するように介在する絶縁膜と、
を有し、
前記複数の第2タッチ電極のそれぞれは、前記複数の第1タッチ電極が位置する第1層にある複数の電極本体と、前記第1層とは異なる位置の第2層にあって前記複数の第1タッチ電極の対応する少なくとも1つに前記絶縁膜を介して重なって前記第2方向に隣同士の前記電極本体を接続するジャンパ電極と、を含み、
前記複数の第1タッチ電極及び前記複数の第2タッチ電極は、それぞれ、前記複数の発光画素との重複を避けるようにメッシュ状に構成され、
前記複数の電極本体のそれぞれは、前記第1方向に隣り合う前記発光画素の間に位置する第1細線部と、前記第2方向に隣り合う前記発光画素の間に位置して前記第1細線部よりも幅の広い第1幅広部と、を含み、
前記ジャンパ電極は、前記第1方向に隣り合う前記発光画素の間に位置する第2細線部と、前記第2方向に隣り合う前記発光画素の間に位置して前記第2細線部よりも幅の広い第2幅広部と、を含み、
前記複数の発光画素は、前記第1方向よりも前記第2方向に長い平面形状をそれぞれが有し、
前記絶縁膜を貫通して前記第1幅広部及び前記第2幅広部が重なって電気的に導通することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の第1タッチ電極及び前記複数の第2タッチ電極は、金属からなることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された表示装置において、
前記第1幅広部及び前記第2幅広部は、前記第1幅広部及び前記第2幅広部が前記第2方向に隣り合う前記発光画素よりも、前記第1方向の幅が大きいことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項3に記載された表示装置において、
前記第1幅広部及び前記第2幅広部が前記第2方向に隣り合う前記発光画素に対して、前記第1方向に隣り合う他の前記発光画素には、前記第1幅広部及び前記第2幅広部は、部分的にも前記第2方向に隣り合わないことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の発光画素は、前記第1方向及び前記第2方向に相互に隣り合うように配列されていることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数列は、複数の第1列及び複数の第2列を含み、
前記複数の発光画素は、前記複数の第1列に並ぶ複数の第1発光画素と、前記複数の第2列に並ぶ複数の第2発光画素と、を含み、
前記複数の第1列と前記複数の第2列とは、前記第1方向に交互に配列され、
前記第2方向に隣り合う一対の前記第1発光画素の間の領域に対して、前記第1方向の隣に、前記複数の第2発光画素の対応する1つが位置することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項6に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の第2発光画素のそれぞれは、前記複数の第1発光画素のそれぞれよりも、前記第2方向に長い平面形状を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項7に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の第2発光画素のそれぞれは、前記第2方向の両端部を有し、
前記両端部のそれぞれが、前記複数の第1発光画素の対応する1つに対して、前記第1方向に隣り合うことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項7又は8に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の第2発光画素は、青色の光を出射するように構成されていることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載された表示装置において、
前記複数の電極本体のそれぞれは、前記第1幅広部から前記第1方向に延びて前記第1細線部に接続する第1接続部を有し、
前記第1接続部は、前記第1幅広部よりも、前記第2方向の幅が狭く、
前記ジャンパ電極は、前記第2幅広部から前記第1方向に延びて前記第2細線部に接続する第2接続部を有し、
前記第2接続部は、前記第2幅広部よりも、前記第2方向の幅が狭いことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項10に記載された表示装置において、
前記絶縁膜で絶縁されて前記第1接続部及び前記第2接続部が重なることを特徴とする表示装置。
