ジアルキル(例えば、ジブチル)ホスファイト(ジアルキル水素ホスファイトと称されることがある)などの低分子量ホスファイトは、ドライブライン潤滑剤において使用された場合のそれらの公知の性能利益にもかかわらず、ある種の問題を示す可能性がある。例えば、それらは、エラストマー系シール中に吸収され、シール材料の分解をもたらす恐れがある。それらは、潤滑剤中の硫黄含有材料と相互作用して不快臭をもたらす可能性もある。

種々の好ましい特長および実施形態を、非限定的な例示によって以下で説明する。
リン含有化合物
で示される構造で表すことができる種の混合物であってよい。種々のジオール反応物の利用可能性によってまたはそれに依存して影響を受けるため、xおよびyの角括弧で表される構造は、多かれ少なかれ、ランダムに分布している可能性があるので、示されている構造は、そのポリマーが必然的にブロックポリマーであることを表そうとするものではない。各Xは独立に末端基であり、これは、例えばアルキル基(メチルなど)もしくは水素、またはOH基が末端となり得るジオール誘導部分であってよい。上記スキームでは、例示目的に過ぎないが、ジエン(i)は1,6−ヘキサンジオールとなるように選択され、ジエン(ii)は2−ブチル−2−エチル−1,3−プロパンジオールとなるように選択される。対応する構造および混合物は、異なるジオール(i)および(ii)を用いて形成させる。

で表されるか、またはその同族体であってよく、ここで、R1およびR2は独立に、8〜20個の炭素原子のアルキル基である。そうした生成物は、ジアルキルアミンとエポキシドまたはクロロヒドロキシ化合物の反応によって得られ得る。例えば、第二級アミンとグリシドール(2,3−エポキシ−1−プロパノール)または「クロログリセリン」(すなわち、3−クロロプロパン−1,2−ジオール)との反応は効果的であり得る。ジココアミンと、1もしくは複数モルのグリシドールまたはクロログリセリンとの反応に基づくそうした材料は、摩擦調整性能を提供するのに有用である。反応が、複数モルのグリシドールもしくはクロログリセリンと、または他のエポキシアルカノールもしくはクロロジオールとであった場合、ダイマーまたはオリゴマーエーテル含有基、すなわちヒドロキシル置換アルコキシアルキル基がもたらされ得る。

Claims (14)
- 潤滑粘度の油、および亜鉛塩以外の亜リン酸エステル組成物(A)を含む潤滑剤組成物であって、前記亜リン酸エステル組成物(A)が、
(a)モノマー亜リン酸またはそのエステルと
(b)少なくとも2つのアルキレンジオールと
の反応生成物を含み、

モノマー亜リン酸またはそのエステル(a)と前記アルキレンジオールの合計(b)の相対モル量が約0.9:1.1〜約1.1:0.9の比であり;
前記第1のアルキレンジオール(i)と前記アルキル置換1,3−プロピレンジオール(ii)の相対モル量が約30:70〜約65:35の比である、潤滑剤組成物。 - 前記亜リン酸エステル組成物の量が、前記潤滑剤組成物の約0.05または0.06〜約2.0重量パーセントである、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- モノマー亜リン酸エステルがジメチルホスファイトを含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記第1のアルキレンジオールが、1,4−ブタンジオール、1,5−ペンタンジオールまたは1,6−ヘキサンジオールを含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記第2のアルキレンジオールが、2−エチル−2−ブチルプロパン−1,3−ジオール、2−エチルヘキサン−1,3−ジオール、2,2−ジブチルプロパン−1,3−ジオールまたは2−メチル−2−プロピルプロパン−1,3−ジオールを含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記亜リン酸エステル組成物が、2または3〜約20個のリン原子を含む少なくとも1つのオリゴマー種、および単一のリン原子を含む少なくとも1つの環状モノマー種を含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 単一のリン原子、および前記第2のアルキレンジオールから誘導される3個の炭素原子の鎖を含む環状モノマー種を含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記環状モノマー種の前記オリゴマー種の量に対する相対量が、重量で約1:3〜約1:1または約1:3〜約1:0.8である、請求項6に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記亜リン酸エステル組成物の量が、前記組成物に約0.01〜約0.3重量パーセントのリンを提供する量である、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 少なくとも1つの分散剤、粘度調整剤、酸化防止剤または腐食防止剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 置換チアジアゾール腐食防止剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記潤滑粘度の油が、約2.8mm2/s(cSt)から約5mm2/s(cSt)までまたは約3.6mm2/s(cSt)までの100℃での動粘度および約104〜約130または約110〜約120未満の粘度指数を有し、
前記潤滑剤組成物が:
(B)約1.2〜約5.0wt%の、硫黄またはリン部分でさらに官能化されている少なくとも1つのホウ素化分散剤;
(C)前記潤滑剤組成物に少なくとも約110ppm〜約700ppmのカルシウムをもたらす量で存在する、カルシウム含有清浄剤;
(D)前記亜リン酸エステル組成物(A)に加えて少なくとも1つのリン含有化合物、および、
(E)約0.1wt%〜約5wt%の、分散機能を有するポリマー粘度調整剤であって、約5,000〜約25,000の重量平均分子量を有する、ポリマー粘度調整剤
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。 - 非ホウ素化分散剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 機械装置を潤滑化する方法であって、前記機械装置に請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物を供給することを含む、方法。
