Description
示差走査熱量測定(DSC)は、半結晶性ポリマーの溶融及び結晶化を試験するために使用され得る一般的な技術である。DSC測定の一般原理及びDSCの半結晶性ポリマーの研究への応用は、標準的なテキスト(例えば、E.A.Turi,ed.,Thermal Characterization of Polymeric Materials,Academic Press,1981)に記載されている。Tmeは溶融が終了する温度を意味する。Tmaxはピーク溶融温度を意味する。
この実施例では、様々な量のLLDPEを有する一連の剥離可能なシール層を表1に示す組成物で調製する。
フィルムに対するヒートシール測定は、ASTM F−88(Technique A)に従って市販の引張試験機で実施される。ヒートシール試験は、軟質バリア材におけるシールの強度(シール強度)のゲージである。それはシールを含有する材料の試験ストリップを分離するのに必要とされる力を測定することによってこれを行い、試料破損のモードを特定する。シール強度は、開封力及びパッケージの全体性に関連する。切断の前に、ASTM D−618(Procedure A)に従って、23℃(±2℃)及び50%(±5%)R.H.(相対湿度)で最低40時間、フィルムをコンディショニングする。次いで、シートを、3層共押出された積層フィルムから、おおよそ11インチの長さ及びおおよそ8.5インチの幅に機械方向に切断する。以下の条件下で、ある温度範囲にわたって、Kopp Heat Sealerで機械方向に交差してシートをヒートシールする。

フィルムに対するホットタック測定は、ASTM F−1921(Method B)に従ってEnepay市販試験機を使用して実施される。試験の前に、ASTM D−618(Procedure A)に従って、23℃及び50%R.H.で最低40時間、フィルムをコンディショニングする。ホットタック試験は、シールが完全に冷却する機会を有する前に、材料をパウチまたは袋に充填することをシミュレートする。

複層フィルムを調製する方法であって、
(a)ポリエチレンを含むポリマー樹脂を提供することと、
(b)剥離可能なシール層のためのブレンドを提供することであって、前記剥離可能なシール層のためのブレンドが、(1)(i)3.5未満の分子量分布及び0.89g/cc未満の密度を有する5〜98重量パーセントの反応器等級のプロピレン系プラストマーまたはエラストマー、ならびに(ii)ポリエチレン、ポリブチレン、及びスチレン系ポリマー、ならびにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される2〜95重量パーセントの第2のポリマーを含む第1のブレンドを提供すること、(2)少なくとも1種の線状低密度ポリエチレンを提供すること、ならびに(3)前記第1のブレンドを前記少なくとも1種の線状低密度ポリエチレンとブレンドして前記剥離可能なシール層ブレンドを得ること、によって形成される、提供することと、
(c)前記ポリマー樹脂及び前記剥離可能なシール層ブレンドを共押出して複層フィルムを得ることと、を含み、
前記剥離可能なシール層が、0.5秒のドウェル時間で40psiの棒圧でシールされた場合、120℃未満のヒートシール開始温度を有する、方法。

Claims (7)
- ヒートシール可能で剥離可能なシール層を調製する方法であって、
(a)(i)3.5未満の分子量分布及び0.89g/cc未満の密度を有する5〜98重量パーセントの反応器等級のプロピレン系プラストマーまたはエラストマーと、(ii)低密度ポリエチレン、超または極低密度ポリエチレンおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される2〜95重量パーセントの第2のポリマーと、を含む第1のブレンドを提供することと、
(b)少なくとも1種の線状低密度ポリエチレンを提供することと、
(c)前記第1のブレンドを前記少なくとも1種の線状低密度ポリエチレンとブレンドして第2のブレンドを得ることと、
(d)前記第2のブレンドを押出してヒートシール可能で剥離可能なシール層を形成することと、を含み、
前記ヒートシール可能で剥離可能なシール層が、0.5秒のドウェル時間で40psi(276kPa)の棒圧でシールされた場合、120℃未満のヒートシール開始温度を有し、かつ、前記第2のブレンドが、1重量%〜20重量%の前記線状低密度ポリエチレンを含む、方法。 - 前記第1のブレンド及び前記線状低密度ポリエチレンが、乾燥ブレンドまたは溶融ブレンドされる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のブレンドを押出してヒートシール可能で剥離可能なシール層を形成することが、前記第2のブレンドを少なくとも1種のポリオレフィンと共押出して複層フィルムを形成することを含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記シール層が、0.5〜4lb/in(87.56〜700.51N/m)の範囲のシール強度を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のポリマーが低密度ポリエチレンである、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記低密度ポリエチレンが、前記第1のブレンドの50〜95重量パーセントを構成する、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記プロピレン系エラストマーまたはプラストマーが、前記プロピレン系エラストマーまたはプラストマーの重量を基準として5重量%〜15重量%の、エチレンから誘導される単位を含有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
