Description
開示されている技術は、デュアルクラッチトランスミッションのようなドライブライン用途で特に有用な、第四級アンモニウム化合物を含有する潤滑剤に関する。第四級アンモニウム化合物はヒドロカルビルスクシンイミドの第四級アンモニウム塩のような第四級アンモニウム塩を含む。
米国特許出願公開第2007/0155636号、Koishikawa、2007年7月5日は、良好な洗浄性能を有する潤滑油添加剤および潤滑油組成物を開示している。添加剤は少なくとも10の塩基価を有する第四級アンモニウム塩である。潤滑油組成物は、内燃機関潤滑油、駆動系潤滑油(例えば、マニュアルトランスミッション油、差動装置油またはオートマチックトランスミッション油)などに使用することができる。
米国特許第3,749,695号、de Vries、1973年7月31日は、ヒドロカルビルで置換されたポリアミンまたはスクシンイミドとアルカンスルトンの反応生成物である効果的な清浄剤および分散剤を含有する潤滑組成物を開示している。この潤滑組成物は内燃機関に使用される。
本明細書に記載されている潤滑剤の使用は、デュアルクラッチトランスミッションまたはオートマチックトランスミッションのようなドライブライン装置の潤滑における良好な摩擦特性を保持しながら銅腐食の低いレベルを提供する。

前記アニオンがメチル硫酸アニオンである、項目1から5のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目7)
前記第四級アンモニウム化合物がヒドロカルビル置換されたコハク酸または無水物およびN,N−ジアルキルプロピレンジアミン(殊にN,N−ジメチルプロピレンジアミン)の反応生成物を含み、該反応生成物が四級化されている、項目1から6のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目8)
前記第四級アンモニウム化合物が物質であって、そのカチオンが次の構造
[式中、R 1 は少なくとも約16個または少なくとも約24個の炭素原子のヒドロカルビル基を表し、ただし、R 1 は環式結合を含む様々な結合のいずれかによって前記環式イミド構造に結合され得、さらにR 1 は複数の環式イミド構造に結合され得;
R 2 はアルキル基、ヒドロキシアルキル基、またはアリールアルキル基であり;R 4 はアルキル基であり、R 5 はメチルまたはエチルである]

R 2 はアルキル基、ヒドロキシアルキル基、またはアリールアルキル基であり;R 3 はメチルまたはエチルである]

(項目11)
前記潤滑剤中の前記第四級アンモニウム化合物の量が約0.1〜約5または約0.5〜約5重量パーセント(活性化学物質基準)である、項目1から10のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目12)
前記チアジアゾール化合物が、少なくとも1つの2−アルキルジチオ−5−メルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、少なくとも1つの2,5−ビス(アルキルジチオ)−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、少なくとも1つの2−アルキルヒドロキシフェニルメチルチオ−5−メルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、または2,5−ジメルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾールと窒素を含有する分散剤との反応生成物、またはこれらの混合物を含む、項目1から11のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目13)
前記チアジアゾール化合物の量が約0.05〜約2重量パーセントまたは約0.1〜約1重量パーセントである、項目1から12のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目14)
前記組成物が、少なくとも1種の第四級でない分散剤、過塩基化金属清浄剤、シール膨潤剤、リン含有摩耗防止剤、無機のリンの酸、酸化防止剤、消泡剤、摩擦調整剤、防錆剤、粘度調整剤、流動点降下剤、またはこれらの混合物をさらに含む、項目1から13のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目15)
前記ドライブライン装置が湿式クラッチを含む、項目1から14のいずれかに記載の方法。
(項目16)
前記ドライブライン装置がトランスミッションである、項目1から15のいずれかに記載の方法。

前記ドライブライン装置がデュアルクラッチトランスミッションである、項目1から16のいずれかに記載の方法。
Claims (17)
- ドライブライン装置を潤滑する方法であって、
(a)潤滑粘度の油;
(b)ヒドロカルビル置換されたイミドまたはアミドを含み、第四級窒素原子および炭素含有アニオンをさらに含有する油溶性の第四級アンモニウム化合物であって、該アニオンがヒドロカルビル硫酸アニオンである、油溶性の第四級アンモニウム化合物;ならびに
(c)チアジアゾール化合物
を含む組成物を該ドライブライン装置に供給することを含む、方法。 - 前記イミドまたはアミドがスクシンイミドまたはスクシンアミドである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記イミドまたはアミドの前記ヒドロカルビル置換基が12〜500個の炭素原子を含有する、請求項1または請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記アニオンが、アルキル基が1〜30個の炭素原子を含有するアルキル硫酸アニオンである、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記アニオンがメチル硫酸アニオンである、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記第四級アンモニウム化合物がヒドロカルビル置換されたコハク酸または無水物およびN,N−ジアルキルプロピレンジアミンの反応生成物を含み、該反応生成物が四級化されている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記第四級アンモニウム化合物がヒドロカルビル置換されたコハク酸または無水物およびN,N−ジメチルプロピレンジアミンの反応生成物を含み、該反応生成物が四級化されている、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤中の前記第四級アンモニウム化合物の量が0.1〜5または0.5〜5重量パーセント(活性化学物質基準)である、請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記チアジアゾール化合物が、少なくとも1つの2−アルキルジチオ−5−メルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、少なくとも1つの2,5−ビス(アルキルジチオ)−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、少なくとも1つの2−アルキルヒドロキシフェニルメチルチオ−5−メルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾール、または2,5−ジメルカプト−[1,3,4]−チアジアゾールと窒素を含有する分散剤との反応生成物、またはこれらの混合物を含む、請求項1から11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記チアジアゾール化合物の量が0.05〜2重量パーセントまたは0.1〜1重量パーセントである、請求項1から12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、少なくとも1種の第四級でない分散剤、過塩基化金属清浄剤、シール膨潤剤、リン含有摩耗防止剤、無機のリンの酸、酸化防止剤、消泡剤、摩擦調整剤、防錆剤、粘度調整剤、流動点降下剤、またはこれらの混合物をさらに含む、請求項1から13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ドライブライン装置が湿式クラッチを含む、請求項1から14のいずれかに記載の方法。
