Description
本出願は、同時係属中の仮米国出願シリアル番号第61/692,058号(出願日:2012年8月22日)への優先権を主張し、同出願の恩恵を主張する。本明細書中、同文献を参考のため援用する。
以下の表は、ゲル化剤を用いた不織布とゲル化剤を用いない不織布との間の比較を示す。用いた不織布は、40wt%の溶解性繊維(セルロース)および60wt%の非溶解性繊維(ポリエステル)を有するGlatfelterのDYNAGRID328NGペーストペーパー(基本重量28gsm)とした。
Claims (10)
- 鉛酸電池用電池セパレータであって、
細孔性膜と、
前記細孔性膜に隣接する不織布であって、酸溶解性繊維および非酸溶解性繊維の混合物を含み、前記非酸溶解性繊維に対する前記酸溶解性繊維の重量比は20〜80:20〜80である前記不織布と、
前記不織布に含浸されているゲルと
を含み、前記不織布は1000l/m2を超える多孔性を有する鉛酸電池用電池セパレ
ータ。 - 前記不織布は基本重量を有し、前記ゲルの基本重量は、前記不織布基本重量の20〜160%の範囲内である、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記ゲルはシリカゲルである、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記シリカゲルのシリカは、沈殿シリカ、ヒュームシリカ、コロイドシリカ、化学修飾されたシリカ、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される請求項3に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記酸溶解性繊維はセルロース繊維である、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記非酸溶解性繊維は、ポリマーおよび/またはガラス繊維である、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記細孔性膜は前記細孔性膜の第一の表面上に第一組のリブを含む、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記リブは、機械方向および/または機械方向をの横切る方向に延びるリブである、請
求項7に記載の電池セパレータ。 - 前記不織布は、前記不織布の第一の表面上において前記第一組のリブに隣接される、請
求項7に記載の電池セパレータ。 - 前記不織布は、前記不織布の第一の表面上において前記第一組のリブに接着される、請求項7に記載の電池セパレータ。
