Description
本出願は、参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる2014年12月19日出願の米国特許出願番号第14/577,376号の優先権および利益を主張するものである。
たとえば、回路遮断器であるがこれに限定しない回路安全装置は、通常、過負荷状態などの過電流状態、または短絡回路、またはアーク故障や地絡などのその他の故障状態による損傷から電気回路を保護するために使用される。回路遮断器は、一般に分離可能な接点を含む。分離可能な接点は、オペレータハンドルを介して手動で、または検出された故障状態に応答して自動で操作されても良い。通常、このような回路遮断器は、分離可能な接点を迅速に開くように設計された操作機構と、遮断器を自動的にトリップさせる多数の故障状態を感知するトリップユニットなどのトリップ機構とを含む。故障状態を感知すると、トリップユニットは、操作機構をトリップ状態にトリップさせ、分離可能な接点を開位置に動かす。
Claims (6)
- 選択的にハウジング(12)に結合された前面カバー(14)を含むハウジング(12)であって、前記前面カバーが画定された開口部(22)を含む、ハウジング(12)と、
選択的に前記ハウジング(12)に結合されたトリップユニット(18)とを含み、
トリップユニット(18)は、
上または内部に形成された第1レセプタクル(44)および第2レセプタクル(45)と、前記前面カバー(14)が前記ハウジング(12)に結合されるとき、前記前面カバー(14)の前記開口部(22)を介してアクセス可能な前面(20)であって、トリップユニット(18)の1つまたは複数の特性を調整するためのいくつかの調整機構(26)を有する前面(20)とを含むトリップユニットハウジング(24)と、
第1方向にヒンジ軸(42)に沿って延在する第1円筒形部材(60)と、第1方向と反対の第2の方向にヒンジ軸(42)に沿って延在する第2円筒形部材(62)と、第1円筒形部材(60)および前記第2円筒形部材(62)に隣接して配置される輪郭外表面(70)を有する厚肉部(72)とを有するアクセスドア(30)とを含み、
前面カバー(14)がハウジング(12)から切り離されるとき、アクセスドア(30)は、
(i)前記アクセスドア(30)は、前記ハウジング(24)に結合され、一般に、少なくとも第1の所定の角度範囲(α)を介して前記ヒンジ軸(42)の周りにほぼ自由に回転するように、前記第1円筒形部材(60)が、前記第1レセプタクル(44)内に配置され、前記第2円筒形部材(62)が、第2レセプタクル(45)内に配置される、第1状態および
(ii)前記アクセスドア(30)が前記第1所定量の範囲(α)を超えて回転し、輪郭外表面(70)が、前記ハウジング(24)の部分と相互作用するのに応答して、前記アクセスドア(30)が前記ハウジング(24)から切り離される、第2状態から移動可能であり、
前記アクセスドア(30)が前記第1状態に配置され、前記前面カバー(14)が前記ハウジング(12)に結合されるとき、前記前面カバー(14)が前記第1の所定の角度範囲(α)よりも小さい第2の所定の角度範囲(α´)に前記ヒンジ軸(42)周りの前記アクセスドア(30)の回転を制限する、
回路遮断器(10)。 - 前記第1レセプタクル(44)と前記第2レセプタクル(45)の各々が、前記ヒンジ軸(42)の周りにほぼ半径距離(r)に配置された曲面(47)によって少なくとも部分的に画定される主要部(46)を含み、前記第1状態で配置されるとき、前記第1円筒形部材(60)が、前記第1レセプタクル(44)の前記主要部(46)内に配置され、前記第2円筒形部材(62)が、前記第2レセプタクル(45)の前記主要部に配置される、請求項1に記載の回路遮断器(10)。
- 前記第1レセプタクル(44)と前記第2レセプタクル(45)のそれぞれは、さらに、前記主要部(46)から外側に延在し、前記ハウジング(24)の前記前面(20)と平行に配置される基準平面(P)に対し、前記ヒンジ軸(42)周りに角度(θ)で配向するほぼ中心基準線(C)周りに配置され、前記ヒンジ軸(42)がラインする、開口部(48)を含む、請求項2に記載の回路遮断器(10)。
- 前記第1レセプタクル(44)および前記第2レセプタクル(45)の各々の前記開口部(48)は、前記主要部分(46)から外側に延在し、前記第1レセプタクル(44)および前記第2レセプタクル(45)のそれぞれの最小開口幅(w)を画定する、ほぼ平行な表面によって画定された第1部分(50)を含み、前記第1状態から前記第2状態に移動するとき、前記第1円筒形部材(60)の少なくとも1つが前記第1レセプタクル(44)の前記第1部分を通過するか、または前記第2円筒形部材(62)が前記第2レセプタクル(45)の前記第1部分を通過する、請求項3に記載の回路遮断器(10)。
- 前記第1レセプタクル(44)および前記第2レセプタクル(45)のそれぞれの前記開口部(48)が、さらに、前記開口部(48)が前記最小開口幅(w)から広がる前記第1部分(50)から外側に延在するフレア部(52)を含む、請求項4に記載の回路遮断器(10)。
- 前記第1円筒形部材(60)および前記第2円筒形部材(62)のそれぞれが、最小幅(w)よりも大きく、半径距離(r)の2倍より小さい外径(d)によって画定される、請求項4に記載の回路遮断器(10)。
