Description

医師および医療従事者は、ときおり、介入処置中に、人間工学および処置効率化のために放射線防護をトレードオフする。放射線をブロックするために使用される物理的障壁は、通常、鉛の存在に起因して重量がある。一部の医師は、例えば、カテーテルまたはドレインを挿入するときに放射線保護のための物理的障壁を使用しないか、あるいは限定的にしか使用しない。なぜなら、この障壁はワークフローと干渉し、あるいは処置を実行する際に整形外科的ストレスの原因となるからである。この結果、医師は、月基準で推奨されるよりも高い累積放射線のレベルにさらされる可能性がある。
図1はロック・ブロックシールドデバイス100の例を示している。ロック・ブロックシールドデバイス100は、ベース102およびシールド104を含む。ベースおよびシールドは、例えば、使用時点で組み立てられかつ続いて交差汚染を回避するために処置後に廃棄される使い捨てキットとして提供することができる。シールドおよび/またはベースは、互いに、小、中または大といった、さまざまなサイズで提供することができる。

Claims (14)
- 放射線シールドを支持するためのベースであって、
前記放射線シールドの相補的係合特徴部と解放可能に結合するよう構成された形状を有するステムと、
実質的に平坦な面を画定する基体であって、前記ステムが前記基体から離れるように延在する基体と、
前記基体の少なくとも主要部を覆う接着層と、
前記接着層に隣接して配置された取り外し可能なカバー層であって、前記カバー層は、物体に対する前記ベースの接着取り付けのために前記接着層を露出させるように取り外し可能である、取り外し可能なカバー層と
を備えるベース。 - 前記ステムは前記放射線シールドの開口内に挿入されるように構成され、前記開口は前記相補的係合特徴部を画定する、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記ステムは、前記ベースを前記放射線シールドに取り外し可能に取り付けるために、前記放射線シールドの開口内にスナップ嵌合するように構成される、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記ステムは、前記放射線シールドと結合されている状態で、前記基体に対して回動可能である、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記ステムは、前記放射線シールドと結合されている状態で、前記基体に対して360度にわたって回動可能である、請求項4に記載のベース。
- 前記実質的に平坦な基体は、放射線ブロッキング材料が注入されたポリマー材料からなる、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記基体はフレキシブルフォームからなる、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記ステムは、ユーザー選択角度まで屈曲可能でかつ前記放射線シールドと結合されている状態で前記ユーザー選択角度を保持するよう構成された展性材料からなる、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 前記接着層は、患者あるいは前記患者に関連付けられた物体との接着取り付けのために調製された医療グレード接着剤を含む、請求項1に記載のベース。
- 放射線シールドを支持するためのベースを製造する方法であって、
放射線シールドの相補的係合特徴部内に配置するための形状を有するステムを形成するステップと、
前記ステムが物体から離れるよう延在するように前記物体に対して前記ベースを接着固定するよう構成された接着層を形成するステップであって、前記接着層は、前記物体に対して前記接着層を固定する前に前記接着層を露出させるために取り外されるよう構成されたシートによって少なくとも部分的に覆われる、ステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記ベースを殺菌するステップを備える、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ステムを形成するステップは、放射線シールドの相補的開口内に配置するための形状を形成するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ステムを形成するステップは、前記接着層の主要面から離れる方向に延在するステムを形成することを含み、前記ベースは、前記放射線シールドが前記接着層の前記主要面から離れる方向に延在するように、前記放射線シールドを適所にて支持するよう構成される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ベースを形成するステップは、さらに、前記放射線シールドが前記ステムと係合させられた状態で前記ステムの位置が前記接着層に対して調整可能であるように調整可能な結合を構築することを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
