Description
前記仕上げ練り工程の排出温度は、120℃以下であることが好ましい。
本発明はまた、前記製造方法により得られたゴム組成物を用いた空気入りタイヤに関する。
本発明で使用可能なゴム成分は特に限定されず、従来公知のものが挙げられる。例えば、天然ゴム(NR)、エポキシ化天然ゴム(ENR)、イソプレンゴム(IR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)、スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)、スチレンイソプレンブタジエンゴム(SIBR)等のジエン系ゴムが挙げられる。ゴム成分は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。なかでも、耐摩耗性、操縦安定性、加工性がバランス良く得られるという理由から、SBR、NR、BRが好ましく、SBRがより好ましい。
無機充填剤としては、シリカ、クレー、アルミナ、タクル、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、水酸化アルミニウム、水酸化マグネシウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化チタンなどの白色充填剤等が挙げられる。無機充填剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。なかでも、耐摩耗性、操縦安定性、加工性がバランス良く得られるという理由から、シリカ、クレー、水酸化アルミニウム、アルミナが好ましく、シリカが特に好ましい。
なお、シリカの窒素吸着比表面積は、ASTM D3037−81に準じてBET法で測定される値である。
チオエステル系シランカップリング剤は、ゴム成分とシリカ間のカップリング性能を持つS−C結合含有シランカップリング剤である。なかでも、本発明の効果が良好に得られるという理由から、下記式(S1)で表されるチオエステル系シランカップリング剤を好適に使用できる。
上記式(S1)におけるR1009の例として、直鎖状アルキレン基としては、メチレン基、エチレン基、n−プロピレン基、n−ブチレン基、ヘキシレン基等が挙げられ、分枝状アルキレン基としては、イソプロピレン基、イソブチレン基、2−メチルプロピレン基等が挙げられる。
本発明では、カーボンブラックを使用することが好ましい。カーボンブラックとしては、GPF、FEF、HAF、ISAF、SAFなどが挙げられる。
加硫剤としては、硫黄等、公知の材料を使用できる。硫黄は特に限定されず、タイヤ工業において一般的なものを使用できるが、粉末硫黄が好ましい。
本発明において、イミド化合物は、イミド基(CO−N−COで表される部位:イミド化合物からイミド部の窒素原子上の水素原子を除いた基)を有する化合物であり、例えば、チオエステル系シランカップリング剤の反応性を制御できるという理由から、下記式(I)で表されるイミド化合物を好適に使用できる。
N−オキシル化合物は、ニトロキシラジカルを発生し得る化合物をいい、例えば、下記式(II−1)で表されるアミノ基のα位に炭素数1〜4のアルキル基を有する複素環式のニトロキシラジカルを発生する化合物が含まれる。
本発明の製造方法により得られるゴム組成物には、前記成分以外にも、ゴム組成物の製造に一般に使用される配合剤、例えば、チオエステル系シランカップリング剤以外のシランカップリング剤、オイル、老化防止剤、酸化亜鉛、ステアリン酸、加硫促進剤等を適宜配合できる。
ベース練り工程では、ゴム成分、無機充填剤、及びチオエステル系シランカップリング剤を混練する。混練方法としては特に限定されず、例えば、バンバリーミキサー、ニーダー等の公知の混練機を使用できる。混練時間(ベース練り全工程の混練時間)は、4〜30分が好ましく、混練温度は、130〜160℃が好ましい。
仕上げ練り工程では、1回又は複数回のベース練り工程で作製された混練物と、加硫剤と、イミド化合物及びN−オキシル化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを混練する。チオエステル系シランカップリング剤の反応性を促進するイミド化合物やN−オキシル化合物を、加硫剤を混練する仕上げ練り工程で添加することで、加硫時におけるシランカップリング剤とポリマーの結合量を増加し、ゴムの弾性率(硬度、E*)を高めることができる。
仕上げ練り工程で得られた混練物(未加硫ゴム組成物)を、トレッドなどの部材の形状に合わせて押し出し加工し、タイヤ成型機上にて通常の方法にて成形し、他のタイヤ部材とともに貼り合わせ、未加硫タイヤを形成した後、加硫機中で加熱加圧することで、タイヤを製造できる。製造されたタイヤは、乗用車用タイヤ、バス用タイヤ、トラック用タイヤ等として好適に用いられる。

(ベース練り工程)
1.7Lバンバリーミキサーを用いて、表1中のベース練りの項目に記載の材料を混練し混練物を得た(混練温度:150℃、混練時間:5分)。
(仕上げ練り工程)
オープンロールを用いて、ベース練り工程で得られた混練物に、表1中の仕上げ練りの項目に記載の材料を投入して混練し、未加硫ゴム組成物を得た。
(加硫工程)
仕上げ練り工程で得られた未加硫ゴム組成物を170℃で20分間、0.5mm厚の金型でプレス加硫し、加硫ゴム組成物を得た。
JIS K6300に準じ、未加硫ゴム組成物のムーニー粘度を130℃で測定した。結果は、下記式に基いて指数表示した。指数が大きいほどムーニー粘度が低く、加工性に優れることを示す。

(株)岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメータVESを用いて、周波数10Hz、初期歪10%及び動歪2%の条件下で、温度50℃における加硫ゴム組成物の複素弾性率E*(MPa)を測定した。結果は、下記式に基いて指数表示した。指数が大きいほど剛性が高く、操縦安定性が優れることを示す。
(E*指数)=(各配合のE*)/(比較例1のE*)×100
ランボーン摩耗試験機を用いて、温度20℃、スリップ率20%及び試験時間2分間の条件下で、加硫ゴム組成物のランボーン摩耗量を測定した。結果は、測定したランボーン摩耗量から容積損失量を計算し、下記式に基いて指数表示した。指数が大きいほど耐摩耗性に優れることを示す。

加硫剤、並びに、イミド化合物及びN−オキシル化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を混練する仕上げ練り工程とを含むゴム組成物の製造方法であって、
前記N−オキシル化合物は、下記式(II−1)、(II−2)、(II−3)、(II−4)、(II−5)及び(II−6)で表される化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であるゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記チオエステル系シランカップリング剤は、下記式(S1)で表される化合物である請求項1記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記無機充填剤がシリカである請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記仕上げ練り工程の排出温度が120℃以下である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の製造方法によりゴム組成物を作製する工程を含む空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
