Description
以下、ヘッドアップディスプレイ(以下、HUDという)装置を例にとり、本発明のプロジェクタについて説明する。HUD装置とは、自動車のフロントガラスに画像を投影することで、フロントガラスの先(車外)に虚像を映し出し、ユーザ(運転者)の視野中に画像を映し出すシステムのことである。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1に係るHUD装置の設置例を示す図である。図1に示すように、HUD装置1は、プロジェクタ10と、コンバイナ60(透明表示板を構成する)とを備える。
次に、プロジェクタ10の動作について説明する。以下では、プロジェクタ10の動作のうち特徴的な動作を主に説明する。
以上のように、本実施の形態によれば、異なる複数の色成分のレーザ光源を用いた場合でも調光可能な範囲の制限を緩和し、所望の調光を行うことができるプロジェクタ10を実現できる。
実施の形態1では、RGBのレーザ光源のうちBのレーザ光源すなわち異なる複数の色成分のレーザ光を出力する複数のレーザ光源部のうちの一つをパルス駆動する場合について説明したが、それに限らない。異なる複数の色成分のレーザ光を出力する複数のレーザ光源部のうちの二つのレーザ光源をパルス駆動するとしてもよい。以下、この場合の例について説明する。
次に、プロジェクタ10aの動作について説明する。以下では、プロジェクタ10aの動作のうち特徴的な動作を主に説明する。
以上のように、本実施の形態によれば、異なる複数の色成分のレーザ光源を用いた場合でも調光可能な範囲の制限を緩和し、所望の調光を行うことができるプロジェクタ10aを実現できる。
実施の形態1および2では、パルス駆動したレーザ光源のデューティを調整することで、平均出力の下限値を下げ、見かけ上閾値を下げることができることについて説明した。
次に、プロジェクタ10bの動作について説明する。以下では、プロジェクタ10bの動作のうち特徴的な動作を主に説明する。
以上のように、本実施の形態によれば、異なる複数の色成分のレーザ光源を用いた場合でも調光可能な範囲の制限を緩和し、所望の調光を行うことができるプロジェクタ10bを実現できる。

Claims (5)
- それぞれ異なる色成分のレーザ光を出力する、複数の発光部を含むレーザ光源部と、
前記レーザ光源部の出力を制御する制御部とを備え、
前記制御部は、前記複数の色成分のレーザ光のうちホワイトバランス比で最も出力の小さい発光部をパルス駆動させることで、当該最も出力の小さい発光部の最小出力を低下させ、かつ、当該最も出力の小さい発光部以外の少なくとも1つの発光部を連続駆動させて、当該最も出力の小さい発光部の最大出力および最小出力の比と、当該少なくとも1つの発光部の最大出力および最小出力の比のうち最も小さい最大出力および最小出力の比と、を略同一にする、

前記制御部は、前記センサにより検出された温度に応じて、前記少なくとも一つの発光部のピークパワーとデューティ比とを変更する、
