Description

Claims (16)
- 液体燃料を収容するのに適合したチャンバと、前記チャンバ内の圧力が前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の蒸気圧を超えることを許容するタンク本体の補強部材と、を画定するタンク本体と、
燃料が前記チャンバに加えられる際に通る流入口であって、燃料が前記チャンバに加えられる際に通る給油ノズルと結合して、燃料タンクへの給油を可能にし、チャンバ内圧力を大気圧以上に維持することを可能にするように構成された流入口と、
前記タンク本体から延びて前記チャンバと連通する充填パイプと、
を備え、
前記流入口は前記充填パイプ内に形成され、
液体燃料が前記タンク本体の前記チャンバに加えられない前記燃料タンクの通常使用時に、150kPa以下の圧力で前記チャンバからの燃料蒸気の出口を画定する安全弁を閉じ、
タンク充填時に前記充填パイプを選択的に開閉して、前記チャンバ内を35kPaより高く150kPa以下の圧力に維持し、
前記燃料タンクが、前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の最大レベルを制限するように適合した充填レベル弁も備え、
前記充填レベル弁が、前記チャンバと他の弁の間に配置されていることを特徴とする燃料タンク。 - 前記流入口が、前記タンク本体から延在して前記チャンバと連通する充填パイプで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記燃料タンクが、前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の最大レベルを制限するように適合した弁も備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記燃料タンクが、選択的に前記チャンバと連通する蒸気キャニスタと、前記蒸気キャニスタの上流に設けられて選択的に前記チャンバから前記蒸気キャニスタへ流体が流れることを許容する弁と、も備え、
前記弁は、燃料が前記チャンバに加えられる給油時に開かれ、他の時間は閉じられて燃料が前記蒸気キャニスタに流れるのを防ぐことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料タンク。 - 前記燃料タンクが、前記充填パイプと関連付けられ、給油時に前記充填パイプに流れ込む液体燃料と分離した流体を供給するのに適合した導管を備えていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記導管が給油ノズルへ信号を供給するのに適合し、前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の最大レベルを制限することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記導管が給油ノズルと連通するのに適合し、給油時にガス状流体がそこを通るのを許容して、前記チャンバを通気することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記燃料タンクが、前記チャンバと連通する流体容器も備え、
前記流体容器が、燃料蒸気が前記チャンバから前記流体容器へ及び前記流体容器から前記チャンバへ流れることを許容することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料タンク。 - 蒸気が前記流体容器内で液体に変化し、液体燃料が前記流体容器と前記チャンバの間を流れることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記燃料タンクが、前記チャンバと連通する流体容器も備え、
前記流体容器が、流体が前記チャンバから前記流体容器へ及び前記流体容器から前記チャンバへ流れることを許容することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料タンク。 - 前記燃料タンクが、前記流体容器と前記チャンバの間を流れる流体を制御する弁も備えていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記燃料タンクが、流体を少なくとも前記流体容器と前記チャンバのうちの1つから他の流体容器又はチャンバへ移動させるポンプも備えていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の燃料タンク。
- 液体燃料を収容するのに適合したチャンバと、前記チャンバからの流体の流れを制限し、前記チャンバ内の圧力が前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の蒸気圧を超えることを許容する弁と、を画定するタンク本体と、
燃料が前記チャンバに加えられる際に通る流入口であって、燃料が前記チャンバに加えられる際に通る給油ノズルと結合して、タンクへの給油を可能にし、液体燃料が前記チャンバ内に加えられる際に、チャンバ内圧力を大気圧以上に維持することを可能にするように構成された流入口と、
前記タンク本体から延びて前記チャンバと連通する充填パイプと、
を備えた燃料タンクであって、
前記流入口は前記充填パイプ内に形成され、
液体燃料が前記タンク本体の前記チャンバに加えられない前記燃料タンクの通常使用時に、150kPa以下の圧力で前記チャンバからの燃料蒸気の出口を画定する安全弁を閉じ、
前記燃料タンクが、前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の最大レベルを制限するように適合した充填レベル弁も備え、
前記充填レベル弁が、前記チャンバと他の弁の間に配置されていることを特徴とする燃料タンク。 - 前記燃料タンクが、前記充填パイプと関連付けられ、給油時に前記充填パイプに流れ込む液体燃料と分離した流体を供給するのに適合した導管を備えていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記導管が給油ノズルへ信号を供給するのに適合し、前記チャンバ内に収容される燃料の最大レベルを制限することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の燃料タンク。
- 前記導管が給油ノズルと連通するのに適合し、給油時にガス状流体がそこを通るのを許容して、前記チャンバを通気することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の燃料タンク。
