本発明に係る食品パッケージング用の積層パッケージング材は基材層を備え、その基材層は、パッケージング材から製造されるパッケージング容器の外側に向けられるその基材層の第一の側の表面上に順に適用された水性顔料系インクジェット印刷用インクの印刷装飾層を受けるためのプレコーティングと、顔料系インクジェット印刷装飾層と、印刷装飾層の上に更に積層された熱可塑性ポリマーの最外層とを有し、プレコーティング組成物が、水溶性多価カチオン塩を有し、基材表面に適用された塩濃度が、乾燥コーティング重量で0.02から0.1g/m2、好ましくは0.02から0.05g/m2のである。

積層パッケージング材の他の実施形態によると、基材層には、パッケージング容器の内側に向けられる基材層の第二の側に、熱可塑性ポリマーの最内層が更に積層されている。更なる実施形態に係る積層パッケージング材は、基材層と最内層との間に追加のガスバリア層を有する。
‐ 水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層が印刷される基材の移動しているウェブを提供するステップ;
‐ 移動している基材表面上に、水溶性多価カチオン塩を含む水性プレコーティング組成物を、基材表面における塩濃度が乾燥コーティング重量で0.02から0.1g/m2、又は0.02から0.05g/m2となるように、連続的に適用するステップ;
‐ プレコーティングされた基材ウェブを乾燥ステーションに輸送して、水を蒸発させることによって、適用された水性プレコーティング組成物を少なくとも部分的に乾燥させるステップ;
‐ 水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層をプレコーティングされ乾燥させた基材表面に印刷するステップ;
‐ プレコーティングされ印刷された基材ウェブを乾燥ステーションに輸送して、印刷装飾層から水を蒸発させるステップ;及び
‐ プレコーティングされインクジェット印刷された基材上に熱可塑性ポリマーの層を適用するステップ。
前記水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層で印刷される基材の移動しているウェブが、コア層の第一の側にポリマーの基材層又はフィルムがコーティング又は積層された紙又は板紙のコア層を備える、請求項17又は18に記載の積層パッケージング材の製造方法。
一実施形態によると、適用された水性プレコーティング組成物を乾燥させるステップが、空気乾燥、赤外線放射乾燥、又はこれら二つの方法の組み合わせによって行われる、本発明の積層パッケージング材の製造方法が提供される。
他の実施形態によると、プレコーティングされ任意で乾燥させた基材表面に印刷するステップが、プレコーティングされ乾燥させた基材ウェブをインクジェットプリンタに輸送して、インクジェット印刷ヘッドが基材表面上にインク組成物を適用し、印刷された基材表面を乾燥ステーションに輸送することによって行われる、方法が提供される。
更なる実施形態によると、インクジェットプリンタが連続高速インクジェットプリンタであり、インクジェットプリンタが、基材表面に印刷される画像の異なる色の部分が登録されているシーケンスで少なくとも二つの異なる印刷ヘッドから色を適用する、方法が提供される。
一実施形態によると、プレコーティングされ印刷されたコア層の反対側の第二の側に、熱可塑性プラスチックの最内層を積層又はコーティングするステップを更に備える方法が提供される。
同様のプレコーティング組成物を有するが、水性プレコーティング組成物の塩濃度のみが異なるプレコーティング露出液体用板紙から製造されたサンプルに対して、積層実験を行った。

Claims (17)
- 食品パッケージング用の積層パッケージング材であって、該積層パッケージング材が基材の層を備え、該基材の層が、前記積層パッケージング材から製造されたパッケージング容器の外側に向けられる該基材の層の第一の側の表面上に順に適用された水性顔料系インクジェット印刷用インクの印刷装飾層を受けるためのプレコーティングと、顔料系インクジェット印刷装飾層と、前記印刷装飾層の上に更に積層された熱可塑性ポリマーの最外層とを有し、
前記プレコーティングの組成物が、水溶性多価カチオン塩とポリマー結合剤とを、固体で計算して1:20から3:5の重量比で備え、0.1から0.5g/m2の全乾燥コーティング重量で前記基材の表面上に適用され、前記基材の表面に適用された塩の濃度が、乾燥コーティング重量で0.02から0.1g/m2であり、
前記水溶性多価カチオン塩が塩化カルシウム(CaCl 2 )を備え、
前記ポリマー結合剤がポリビニルアルコール(PVOH)を備える、
積層パッケージング材。 - 前記基材が、前記積層パッケージング材のコア層を構成する紙又は板紙である、請求項
1に記載の積層パッケージング材。 - 前記プレコーティングの組成物が、水溶性多価カチオン塩とポリマー結合剤とを、固体で計算して1:10から3:5の重量比で備え、0.1から0.3g/m2の全乾燥コーティング重量で前記基材の表面上に適用されている、請求項1に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が親水性ポリマーである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記基材の表面に適用された塩の濃度が、乾燥コーティング重量で0.02から0.05g/m2である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が架橋している、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が、架橋アセトアセチル化ポリビニルアルコールを備える、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が、79から99.99%の鹸化度を有するポリビニルアルコールを備える、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が、ジアルデヒド化合物で架橋されている、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記プレコーティングが、乾燥コーティング重量で0.02g/m2から0.1g/m2の塩化カルシウムに相当するカルシウムイオンを備える、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 前記インクジェット印刷用インクが、自己分散している又はアニオン性分散剤によって安定化されている水性顔料系インクである、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材。
- 請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材(10)を製造するための積層パッケージング材の製造方法であって、
水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層で印刷される基材の移動しているウェブを提供するステップと、
移動している前記基材の表面上に、水溶性多価カチオン塩を含む水性プレコーティング組成物を、前記基材の表面における塩の濃度が乾燥コーティング重量で0.02から0.1g/m2となるように、連続的に適用するステップと、
プレコーティングされた前記基材のウェブを乾燥ステーションに輸送して、水を蒸発させることによって、適用された前記水性プレコーティング組成物を少なくとも部分的に乾燥させるステップと、
プレコーティングされ乾燥させた前記基材の表面に水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層を印刷するステップと、
プレコーティングされ印刷された前記基材のウェブを、乾燥ステーションに輸送して、印刷された前記装飾層から水を蒸発させるステップと、
プレコーティングされインクジェット印刷された前記基材の上に、熱可塑性ポリマーの層を適用するステップと、を備える積層パッケージング材の製造方法。 - 前記水性プレコーティング組成物が、水に分散又は溶解したポリマー結合剤と、水溶性多価カチオン塩とを含み、塩とポリマー結合剤との重量比が1:20から3:5であり、適用された全コーティングが乾燥コーティング重量で0.1から0.5g/m 2 となるように、前記基材の表面上に適用される、請求項12に記載の積層パッケージング材の製造方法。
- 前記水性顔料系インクジェット装飾層で印刷される基材の移動しているウェブが、紙又は板紙のコア層である、請求項12又は13に記載の積層パッケージング材の製造方法。
- 移動している前記基材の表面上に前記水性プレコーティング組成物を連続的に適用するステップが、アニロックスローラーを用いて前記水性プレコーティング組成物を適用することを含むフレキソ印刷技術によって行われる、請求項12から14のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材の製造方法。
- プレコーティング及び印刷された装飾層に、熱可塑性ポリマー材の最外層又はフィルムをコーティングするステップは、熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融押し出しコーティングによって行われる、請求項12から15のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材の製造方法。
- 請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の積層パッケージング材(10a、10b)から製造されたパッケージング容器(40a、40b)。
