Description
エチレンホモポリマー、エチレンコポリマー、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるポリマーであり、実質的に完全な末端飽和を有するポリマー;
100重量部のポリマーに対して0.1重量部〜3.0重量部の架橋化剤としての過酸化物;
100重量部のポリマーに対して0.5重量部〜5.0重量部のジメタクリレート化合物、トリメタクリレート化合物、ジビニルベンゼン、ビニルトルエン、ビニルピリジン、p−キノンジオキシム、アクリル酸、シクロヘキシルメタクリレート、および1,2−ポリブタジエンからなる群から選択されるアリル共架橋剤;
該ポリマー中の酸性化合物を実質的に中和するための、十分な量の周期表のIIAおよびIIB族から選択されるカチオンを有する金属化合物;および
ラジカル捕捉剤としての過酸化物、から本質的になる組成物が開示されている。
(1)メルトフローインデックス(MFI)が1g/10分〜200g/10分、メルトフローレイト(MFR)が35未満、および密度が0.935g/cm3より高く、
(a)5重量%〜50重量%の、密度が0.85g/cm3〜0.95g/cm3、メルトフローインデックス(MFI)が1g/10分〜200g/10分、およびメルトフローレイト(MFR)が35未満である第一のポリマーであって、エチレンと炭素数3〜10のα−オレフィンのコポリマーである第一のポリマー;および

(2)前記ポリマーブレンドを射出成形または回転成形(「ロトモールディング」)する工程を含む、物品の形成方法が開示されている。
(a)30重量%〜70重量%の、低分子量エチレンホモポリマーであって、該ホモポリマーは酸化クロム系の触媒系を用いてエチレンを重合することで得られ、密度が0.96g/cm3より高く、メルトフローインデックス(MFI)が30g/10分より高く、不均一性指数が2〜35、および高荷重メルトフローインデックス(HLMFI)/メルトフローインデックス(MFI)比が40未満であるホモポリマー;および
(b)30重量%〜70重量%の、高分子量エチレンコポリマーであって、該コポリマーは塩化チタニウム系の触媒系を用いてエチレンをα−オレフィンと共重合することで得られ、密度が0.955g/cm3未満、高荷重メルトフローインデックス(HLMFI)が0.1g/10分〜50g/10分、および不均一性指数が2〜10であるコポリマー、を含む組成物が開示されており、
上記において、重量%は該ホモポリマー(a)および該コポリマー(b)の全重量を基準としており、
該組成物はメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が0.05g/10分より高く、他のエチレンポリマーを実質的に含まない。
(a)メルトフローインデックス(MFI)が0.4g/10min〜3.0g/10minおよび密度が0.910g/cm3〜0.930g/cm3である第一のポリエチレン;および
(b)メルトフローインデックス(MFI)が10g/10min〜30g/10minおよび密度が0.945g/cm3〜0.975g/cm3である第二のポリエチレン、を含むポリエチレン系組成物が開示されており、
前記組成物は、密度が0.930g/cm3〜0.955g/cm3およびメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が1.5g/10min〜12g/10minであり、第二のポリエチレンは第一と第二のポリエチレンの全重量に対して20重量%〜65重量%の量で存在し、第一と第二のポリエチレンの密度は0.030g/cm3〜0.048g/cm3異なる。
(a)80重量%〜98重量%、好ましくは85重量%〜95重量%の少なくとも1種の高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE);

(a)高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として);
(b)直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として);
(c)架橋剤、任意で前記高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)および/または前記直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)と予備混合したもの;
(d)共架橋剤、任意で前記高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)および/または前記直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)と予備混合したもの;および
上記の任意に存在し得る他の化合物、任意で前記高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)および/または前記直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(粉末または粒状、好ましくは粉末として)と予備混合したものを、押出機の先頭(すなわち、機械の入口)で、独立した計量器(例えば、容積計量器)を用いて、上記から選択される押出機に供給することで直接得られる。
好ましくは、早期架橋を防ぐために、架橋剤(c)を、押出機の3/4の長さ、いずれの場合も使用されるポリエチレン(a)および(b)が溶融する押出機の区間より下流で供給する。押出後、得られた架橋性組成物を上記のように処理する。
下記の特徴を有する100gの高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(Versalis S.p.A.製のEraclene(登録商標)MR 80 U):
密度0.955g/cm3;
温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格にしたがって測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が25g/10分;
0.9gのトリアリルシアヌレート(TAC)(LEHVOSS製Luvomaxx(登録商標)TAC DL 50);および
0.65gの2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン−3(アクゾノーベル製、Trigonox(登録商標)145-45B-pd)を、混合速度60rpm、温度25℃で、20分間実験室用スクリューミキサーに入れた。その後、得られた架橋性組成物をインターナルミキサーから取り出し、回転二軸スクリュー押出機(D=30mm;L/D=28)に供給し、135℃の一定の温度プロファイルで、流量7.5kg/h、およびスクリュー回転速度100rpmで押し出した。「スパゲッティ状」に押し出された物質を、水路で冷却し、空気乾燥し、チョッパーを用いて造粒し、続いて回転羽ミルで粉砕することで、平均粒径が350μmの粉末を得た。
破断伸び、ASTM D638−10規格に準拠;
アイゾッド衝撃強さ、ASTM D256−10規格に準拠;
耐環境応力亀裂性(ESCR)、ASTM D1693規格に準拠、界面活性剤(Igepal(登録商標)CO-630)の10%水溶液の存在下、温度50℃。
0.65gのトリアリルシアヌレート(TAC)(LEHVOSS製Luvomaxx(登録商標)TAC DL 50)および0.9gの2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン−3(アクゾノーベル製Trigonox(登録商標)145-45B-pd)を用いた以外は、例1と同様に例2を行った。
下記成分を用いた以外は、例1と同様に例3を行った。
下記の特徴を有する90gの高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(Versalis S.p.A.製Eraclene(登録商標)MR 80 U):
密度が0.955g/cm3;
温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格にしたがって測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が25g/10分;
下記の特徴を有する10gの直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(Versalis S.p.A.製Flexirene(登録商標)MS 20 U):
密度が0.920g/cm3;
温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格にしたがって測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が25g/10分;
0.65gのトリアリルシアヌレート(TAC)(LEHVOSS製Luvomaxx(登録商標)TAC DL 50)および
0.9gの2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン−3(アクゾノーベル製Trigonox(登録商標)145-45B-pd)。
100gの高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(Versalis S.p.A.製のEraclene(登録商標)MR 80 U)を用いた以外は、例1と同様に例4を行った。
Claims (12)
- (a)80重量%〜98重量%の少なくとも1種の高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE);
(b)2重量%〜20重量%の少なくとも1種の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE);
(c)(a)と(b)の合計100重量部に対して、0.2重量部〜1.5重量部の有機過酸化物から選択される少なくとも1種の架橋剤;
(d)(a)と(b)の合計100重量部に対して、0.2重量部〜2.5重量部のアリル化合物から選択される少なくとも1種の共架橋剤を含み、
前記高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(a)と、前記直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(b)とは、温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格に従って測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が同じである、架橋性組成物。 - 前記高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(a)は、密度が0.940g/cm3より高く、温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格にしたがって測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が10g/10分〜100g/10分であるポリエチレンから選択される、請求項1に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(b)は、密度が0.940g/cm3より低く、温度190℃、荷重2.16kgでISO1133−1:2011規格にしたがって測定したメルトフローインデックス(MFI)が1g/10分〜100g/10分であるポリエチレンから選択される、請求項1または2に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記有機過酸化物(c)が、一般式(I):
R1とR2は、同じまたは異なる直鎖または分岐C1−C 12 アルキル基を表し;
R3とR4は、同じまたは異なる直鎖または分岐C1−C 12 アルキル基を表し;
nは、0または1である]で表される有機過酸化物から選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物。 - 一般式(I)の前記有機過酸化物は、2,5−ビス(t−アミルパーオキシ)−2,5−ジメチルヘキサン、2,5−ビス(t−ブチルパーオキシ)−2,5−ジメチルヘキサン、3,6−ビス(t−ブチルパーオキシ)−3,6−ジメチルオクタン、2,7−ビス(t−ブチルパーオキシ)−2,7−ジメチルオクタン、8,11−ビス(t−ブチルパーオキシ)−8,11−ジメチルオクタデカン、またはこれらの混合物などのビス(アルキルパーオキシ)アルカン類;α,α’−ビス(t−アミルパーオキシ−イソプロピル)ベンゼン、α,α’−ビス(t−ブチルパーオキシ−イソプロピル)ベンゼン、またはこれらの混合物などのビス(アルキルパーオキシ)ベンゼン類;2,7−ジメチル−2,7−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)−オクタジイン−3,5、2,7−ジメチル−2,7−ジ(パーオキシエチルカーボネート)−オクタジイン−3,5、3,6−ジメチル−3,6−ジ(パーオキシエチルカーボネート)オクチン−4、3,6−ジメチル−3,6−ジ(t−ブチル−パーオキシ)オクチン−4、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(パーオキシ−n−プロピル−カーボネート)ヘキシン−3、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(パーオキシ−イソブチルカーボネート)ヘキシン−3、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(パーオキシエチル−カーボネート)ヘキシン−3、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(α−クミルパーオキシ)ヘキシン−3、2,5−ジメチル−2,5−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン−3、またはこれらの混合物などのビス(アルキルパーオキシ)アセチレン類;あるいはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項4に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記アリル化合物(d)は、アリルメタクリレート、ジアリルイタコネート、ジアリルフタレート、トリアリルトリメリテート、トリアリルトリメタリルトリメリテート、トリアリルシアヌレート(TAC)、トリアリルイソシアヌレート(TAIC)、トリアリルホスフェート、またはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記架橋性組成物は、チオジプロピオン酸のエステル類、またはそれらの混合物などの硫黄含有化合物;ジ(ステアリル)ペンタエリスリトールジホスファイト、テトラキス(2,4−ジ−t−ブチルフェニル)−ビフェニレン−4,4’ジホスホナイト、またはこれらの混合物などの、有機亜リン酸エステル類、有機ホスホン酸エステル類、有機亜ホスホン酸エステル類、有機リン酸エステル類から選択される少なくとも1種の過酸化物捕捉剤(e)を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記過酸化物捕捉剤(e)は、(a)と(b)の合計100重量部に対して、0.01重量部〜0.1重量部の量で架橋性組成物中に存在する、請求項7に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記架橋性組成物は、立体障害のあるフェノール類から選択される少なくとも1種の酸化防止剤(f)を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 前記酸化防止剤(f)は、(a)と(b)の合計100重量部に対して、0.01重量部〜0.1重量部の量で架橋性組成物中に存在する、請求項9に記載の架橋性組成物。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物の、回転成形(「ロトモールディング」)における使用。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の架橋性組成物の回転成形(「ロトモールディング」)によって得られる最終製品。
