Description
Claims (3)
- レーザー光を出射する光源と、
前記レーザー光を走査するポリゴンミラーと、
前記ポリゴンミラーを回転させるポリゴンモーターと、
駆動信号に基づいて前記ポリゴンモーターを駆動する制御回路と、
前記駆動信号を前記制御回路に供給するとともに、前記ポリゴンモーターの回転速度が目標値に到達したことを示すレディ信号を前記制御回路から受け付けるコントローラーとを備え、
前記コントローラーは、前記ポリゴンモーターの駆動開始時点から前記ポリゴンモーターの回転速度が目標値に到達した時点までの加速時間に対するウェイト時間を特定し、前記ポリゴンモーターの回転速度が目標値に到達した時点から前記ウェイト時間の経過後に、前記レーザー光を使用した作像を許可し、
前記コントローラーは、前記ポリゴンモーターの駆動停止時点から前記駆動開始時点までの惰性回転時間に応じた補正時間分、前記ウェイト時間を短くすること、
を特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記コントローラーは、前記加速時間が長いほど前記ウェイト時間を短くすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記コントローラーは、前記惰性回転時間が短いほど、前記補正時間を長くすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。
