Description

(b)前記水性液体口腔ケア組成物のための分配ユニットであって、その遠位端が、歯又は歯茎上に前記組成物を付与するように構成された前記分配ユニットと、第1及び第2の電極を有する電極システムと、を有し、前記第1の電極は、歯又は歯茎において、あるいは、その近傍において、水性組成物に対して保持されるように構成され、前記第2の電極は、歯又は歯茎から離れた位置において水性液体口腔ケア組成物に対して保持されるように構成され、前記電極システムは、電極間に1.5ボルト乃至10ボルトの電位差を供給するように構成され、これにより、水酸化物イオン(OH−)が前記第1の電極において生じ、プロトン(H+)が前記第2の電極において生じる、前記組成物のための塗布器と、
を有する、口腔ヘルスケアキットに関する。
歯の実質的に全ての露出領域が液体組成物によって覆われるような粘度を有する、液体ゲル化可能な組成物を歯に付与するステップと、
液体組成物のpHを上げることによって歯の上に液体組成物をゲル化させてゲル層を生成するステップであって、ここでは、バイオフィルムの表面が正味の負の表面電荷を有するので、正に荷電したゲルポリマーを使用する場合、強い静電相互作用によって、バイオフィルムが歯に付着するよりも、ゲル層が歯垢バイオフィルムに強く付着する前記ステップと、
歯から前記ゲル層とともに歯垢バイオフィルムを除去するステップであって、歯垢バイオフィルムが前記ゲル層に付着しており、前記pHの増加が、1.5V乃至10Vの電位差を液体組成物に与えることによってなされる前記ステップと、
を有する方法に関する。
Claims (16)
- pHにおける変化の影響下でゲル化可能であり、歯又は歯茎に付与されたときに自身のpHを変化させる、水性液体口腔ケア組成物の歯又は歯茎への付与のための装置であって、前記装置は、前記組成物のための分配ユニットであって、前記分配ユニットの遠位端が、歯又は歯茎に前記組成物を付与するノズルを有する前記分配ユニットと、前記分配ユニットと統合された第1及び第2の電極を有する電極システムであって、前記第1の電極が、前記分配ユニットの前記遠位端から延在しており、前記第2の電極が、前記第1の電極の上流にある前記電極システムと、を有し、前記電極システムは、前記第1の電極と前記第2の電極との間に1.5ボルト乃至10ボルトの電位差を供給するように構成され、前記付与された組成物に対して前記電位差を付与した場合、水酸化物イオン(OH−)が一の電極において生じ、プロトン(H+)が他の電極において生じ、前記組成物のゲル化をもたらす、装置。
- 前記電位差の方向が、水酸化物イオン(OH−)が前記第1の電極において生じ、プロトン(H+)が前記第2の電極において生じるような方向である、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記電位差の方向を逆転させるためのスイッチングユニットを有する、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の電極が、前記分配ユニットと一体化されている、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電極が、前記遠位端から延びるのではなく、前記分配ユニットの前記遠位端に、又は、前記遠位端の近傍にある、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電極が、前記分配ユニットの壁に含まれる、請求項4又は5のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電極が、前記分配ノズルの出口に位置する陽極であり、前記第1の電極が、
前記分配ノズルの出口から1mm乃至10mm、好ましくは2mm乃至4mm延びている
陰極である、請求項5又は6に記載の装置。 - 電動歯ブラシ、電動フロス機器、口腔洗浄器、及び、それらの組み合わせからなるグループから選択される歯を洗浄するための歯科用機器を更に有する、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 歯又は歯茎に付与するのに適し、pHを増加させることによってゲル化可能な液体組成物をゲル化するための、歯又は歯茎に前記組成物を付与するノズルを遠位端に有する分配ユニットと統合された第1及び第2の電極を有する電極システムであって、第1の電極が、前記分配ユニットの遠位端から延在しており、前記第2の電極が、前記第1の電極の上流にある、前記電極システムを作動する方法であって、前記ゲル化は、前記分配ユニットが、前記組成物を歯又は歯茎に付与した場合に、前記電極システムが、前記第1の電極と前記第2の電極との間に1.5V乃至10Vの電位差を前記液体組成物に付与することによってなされる、方法。
- 前記ゲル化可能な組成物が、キトサンを有する、請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記電位差が、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の装置が有する前記電極システムにより付与される、請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- pH増大の影響下でゲル化可能な媒体に含まれる少なくとも1つの口腔ケア剤を有する口腔ケア組成物を有する容器と、前記組成物のための塗布器と、を持つ口腔ヘルスケアキットであって、前記塗布器は、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の装置である、キット。
- 前記ゲル化可能な組成物が、キトサンを有する、請求項12記載のキット。
- 少なくとも1つの口腔ケア剤と、金属イオンの影響下でゲルを形成することが可能な材料と、前記金属イオンを有するpH感受性媒体と、を有する口腔ケア組成物を持つ容器を有する口腔ヘルスケアキットであって、前記キットは、前記組成物のための塗布器を更に有し、前記塗布器は、請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載の装置である、キット。
- 前記ゲル形成材料が、アルギン酸塩、カラギーナン、及び、それらの混合物から選択され、前記金属イオンが、カルシウムイオンを有する、請求項14記載のキット。
- 前記口腔ケア剤が、歯磨剤、抗歯垢組成物、抗歯石組成物、抗歯肉炎組成物、虫歯予防組成物、抗細菌組成物、歯周治療のための組成物、及び、それらの組み合わせからなるグループから選択される、請求項12乃至15のいずれか1項に記載のキット。
