以上説明したように、この実施形態に係る補助力発生装置付き車椅子1によれば、当該車椅子1の総重量と、走行路の傾斜状態とに基づいて制御装置20が補助力を決定できる。そして、電動モータ25は決定された補助力を発生するので、搭乗者または介助者の操作力が少なくて済む。

Claims (2)
- 搭乗者の操作力を補助する補助力を発生する補助力発生装置を備えた補助力発生装置付き車椅子において、
前記補助力発生装置は、電動モータと、該電動モータに電力を供給するバッテリと、前記車椅子が走行する走行路の傾斜状態を検出する傾斜状態検出センサと、該傾斜状態検出センサで検出された前記走行路の傾斜状態及び前記車椅子の総重量に基づいて前記補助力を決定し、前記電動モータが前記補助力を発生するように前記電動モータを制御する制御装置とを備え、
複数の互いに異なる勾配範囲が予め設定されており、
前記制御装置は、前記傾斜状態検出センサで検出された前記走行路の傾斜状態が登り勾配であると判定された場合に、各勾配範囲内で前記補助力が一定となるように、かつ、当該補助力が、前記各勾配範囲内の前記走行路で静止状態にある前記車椅子が登り方向に動き出す力未満となるように決定し、当該決定された補助力を、前記車椅子の停止時及び走行時に発生するように前記電動モータを制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする補助力発生装置付き車椅子。 - 請求項1に記載の補助力発生装置付き車椅子において、
前記制御装置は、前記傾斜状態検出センサで検出された前記走行路の傾斜状態が登り勾配であると判定された場合に、前記車椅子が下り方向に動き出すのを阻止する力を前記補助力とすることを特徴とする補助力発生装置付き車椅子。
