Description
[1]MFRが0.1g/10min以上200g/10minである樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.05mm以上50mm以下であり、かつ、繊維径の最小値が0.5μmであり繊維径の最大値が50μmであるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプと、前記合成パルプに捕捉された高分子吸収体と、を含む液体吸収体。
[2]前記合成パルプは、MFRが5.0g/10min以上150g/10min以下である樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.10mm以上1.15mm以下であり、かつ、平均繊維径が15μm以上35μm以下であるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプである、[1]に記載の液体吸収体。
[3]さらに銀イオンを担持した無機粒子および抗菌剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含む、[1]または[2]に記載の液体吸収体。
[4]衛生材料に含まれる、[1]〜[3]のいずれかに記載の液体吸収体。
[5]土木または工業用の材料に含まれる、[1]〜[3]のいずれかに記載の液体吸収体。
[6]MFRが0.1g/10min以上200g/10minである樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.05mm以上50mm以下であり、かつ、繊維径の最小値が0.5μmであり繊維径の最大値が50μmであるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプと、高分子吸収体と、を用いて、下羽根および上羽根の上下二段に設置された撹拌羽根を撹拌容器内に有するミキサーで、下羽根による回転力によって前記合成パルプおよび前記高分子吸収体を流動させ、同時に上羽根による剪断力によって前記合成パルプおよび前記高分子吸収体を撹拌および混合する工程を含む、液体吸収体の製造方法。
本発明の一実施形態に係る液体吸収体は、MFRが0.1g/10min以上200g/10minである樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.05mm以上50mm以下であり、かつ、繊維径の最小値が0.5μmであり繊維径の最大値が50μmであるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプと、前記合成パルプに捕捉された高分子吸収体(SAP)と、を含む。
合成パルプは、合成された樹脂からなる複数の微小繊維が絡まり合って、分岐構造を有するより太い繊維を形成する構造を有する繊維(単に「ミクロフィブリル繊維」ともいい、このような構造を単に「ミクロフィブリル構造」ともいう。)が、全体として特定方向に整列せずに集合してなる繊維集合体である。

Nn:それぞれの級に含まれるミクロフィブリル繊維の本数
絶乾重量24gの合成パルプを量り取り、2000mlの水を加えて濃度1.2%程度とし、JISP8220−1に規定する離解機にかけて30000回転(10分間)まで離解させる。完全に離解したミクロフィブリル繊維を0.3%濃度程度に希釈し、水温を20.0±0.5℃とする。離解したパルプスラリーを1000ml量り取り、カナダ標準ろ水度試験器を用いて、側管から出た排水量を読み取る。
合成パルプは、種々の方法により製造し得るが、通常はフラッシュ法で製造することが可能である。フラッシュ法とは、樹脂が溶媒に溶解している高圧の樹脂溶液を減圧下に噴出することで上記溶媒を揮散させて上記樹脂からなる繊維を形成し、さらに必要に応じてワーリングブレンダーまたはディスクリファイナーなどで上記形成された繊維を切断および叩解する方法である。フラッシュ法は、不織布にしたときに強度が高い合成パルプを得られるため好ましい。特に、特開昭48−44523号公報に記載されているような、ポリオレフィン溶液を懸濁剤の存在下、水媒体に分散させたものをフラッシュさせる方法は、乱雑に分岐した形状を有する繊維状の樹脂を有する合成パルプが得られ、このような合成パルプはより強度が高い不織布を得られため、好ましい。
高分子吸収体(SAP)は、吸水能力が自重の数十倍から1000倍程度である親水性高分子化合物の架橋物を材料とする粒子状の樹脂組成物であり、上記親水性高分子化合物がその構成単位にカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、カルボン酸無水物基、水酸基、エチレンオキサイド基などの親水性基を含むものである。SAPは、特に限定されず、紙おむつ、生理用品などの衛生材料関係、土木建築材料関係、農園芸材料関係などの用途に通常使用されている公知のSAPを使用することができる。
液体吸収体は、SAPの分布むらを極端に生じやすくしない限りにおいて、合成パルプおよびSAP以外の成分(以下、単に「その他の成分」ともいう。)を含んでいてもよい。
液体吸収体は、上述したミクロフィブリル樹脂または上述したミクロフィブリル樹脂から製造した合成パルプと、SAPと、を混合して製造することができる。上記混合の方法は特に限定されず、たとえば、合成パルプをシート状に成形した後、粉末状または顆粒状のSAPを散布する方法、フラッフ化した合成パルプとSAPとをミキサーなどで混合する方法、フラッフ化した合成パルプとSAPとを解砕しながら同時に容器中を降下させて積層する方法、ミクロフィブリル樹脂または合成パルプとSAPとをミキサーなどで混合してSAPを捕捉した合成パルプを製造する方法などを用いることができる。合成パルプとSAPとをミキサーなどで混合する方法、またはフラッフ化した合成パルプとSAPとを解砕しながら同時に容器中を降下させて積層する方法が好ましい。
上述した液体吸収体は、紙おむつ、生理用品、母乳パット、使い捨て雑巾、ふき取り紙、ハンカチ、タオル、肌着などの衛生材料、創傷保護用ドレッシング材、医療用アンダーパット、パップ剤などの医療用品、ペット用シート、携帯用トイレ、ゲル芳香剤、ゲル消臭剤、吸汗性繊維、使い捨てカイロなどの生活用品、シャンプー、セット用ジェル剤、保湿剤などのトイレタリー用品、農・園芸用の保水材、切り花の延命剤、フローラルフォーム(切り花の固定化材)、育苗用苗床、水耕栽培、植生シート、種子テープ、流体播種、結露防止用農業用シートなどの農・園芸用品、食品用トレー用鮮度保持材、ドリップ吸収性シートなどの食品包装材、保冷材、生鮮野菜運搬用吸水性シートなどの運搬用資材、結露防止用建築材料、土木・建築用のシーリング材、シールド工法の逸泥防止剤、コンクリート混和剤、ガスケット・パッキングなどの土木建築資材、光ファイバーなどの電子機器のシール材、通信ケーブル用止水材、インクジェット用記録紙などの電気機器関連資材、汚泥の凝固剤、ガソリン、油類の脱水、水分除去剤などの水処理剤、漏水処理材、漏水防止材などの工業用資材、捺染用のり、水膨潤性玩具などに含ませることができる。
Claims (6)
- MFRが0.1g/10min以上200g/10minである樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.05mm以上50mm以下であり、かつ、繊維径の最小値が0.5μmであり繊維径の最大値が50μmであるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプと、
前記合成パルプに捕捉された高分子吸収体と、
を含む液体吸収体。 - 前記合成パルプは、MFRが5.0g/10min以上150g/10min以下である樹脂からなる、平均繊維長が0.10mm以上1.15mm以下であり、かつ、平均繊維径が15μm以上35μm以下であるミクロフィブリル繊維が集合してなる、カナディアンフリーネスが340ml以上740ml以下である合成パルプである、請求項1に記載の液体吸収体。
- さらに銀イオンを担持した無機粒子および抗菌剤からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1または2に記載の液体吸収体。
- 衛生材料に含まれる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の液体吸収体。
- 土木または工業用の材料に含まれる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の液体吸収体。
