Description
いくつかの実施形態では、インサートは、水溶性の抗菌剤の溶出を容易にするために、基材がウレタンアクリレート又はポリウレタンポリマーなどの親水性ポリマーを備える親水性材料で作られている。
Claims (17)
- 医療器具用のインサートであって、
溶出特性を有する基材、
当該基材内に包含された補強用基礎構造体、及び
当該基材が流体と接触したとき抗菌剤が当該基材から溶出されるように、当該基材内に包含された抗菌剤、
を備え、
前記インサートは、所望の形態で、抗菌剤を包含する前記基材を硬化させることにより形成されることを特徴とする医療器具用のインサート。 - 当該基材は、流体を吸収して膨潤する吸湿性物質を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- 当該基材は、親水性のウレタンアクリレート又はポリウレタンポリマーを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- 当該抗菌剤は、インサートの0.1%と40%w / wの間を構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- 当該形態は、チューブ形状及びロッドの形状の少なくとも1つを備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- 当該チューブ形状は、インサートが配置される医療器具の空腔の内径に等しいか又はそれよりも大きい外径を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- インサートは、インサートが所定の位置に隔壁を固定するように、隔壁を有するカテーテルアダプタ内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- インサートは、接着剤、機械的ファスナ、又は機械的干渉の少なくとも1つによって、医療器具内に固定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- インサートは、ピールアウェイスリーブ内に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- ピールアウェイスリーブは、ポリオレフィン、フッ素ポリマー、ポリ塩化ビニル又はエチレンビニルアセテートのいずれか1つを備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- インサートは、1つ又はそれ以上のピールアウェイシートで裏打ちされた金型内で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具用のインサート。
- 抗菌剤を溶出するインサートを備える医療器具であって、当該インサートが、
溶出特性を有する基材、
当該基材内に包含された補強用基礎構造体、及び
当該基材が流体と接触したとき抗菌剤が当該基材から溶出されるように、当該基材内に包含された抗菌剤、
を備え
前記インサートは、所望の形態で、抗菌剤を包含する前記基材を硬化させることにより形成されることを特徴とする医療器具。 - 当該インサートは、流体が医療器具内で通過する空腔を備えていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の医療器具。
- 当該インサートは医療器具に取付き、医療器具が別の医療器具に取付けられたとき、当該インサートが抗菌剤を溶出するように、医療器具から延びていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の医療器具。
- 医療器具用のインサートを形成する方法であって、当該方法は、
基材のマトリックスを形成するために溶出特性を有する基材と抗菌剤とを組み合わせ、そして
当該基材のマトリックスを、医療器具内に包含される大きさ及び形状のインサートに成形すること
を含み、
当該基材のマトリックスをインサートに成形することは、当該基材のマトリックスをピールアウェイ材料内に配置することを特徴とする方法。 - 当該基材のマトリックスは、UV硬化、熱硬化、又は熱成形のいずれか1つを使用してインサートに形成されていることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- 抗菌剤のインサートからの流体への溶出を生じさせるべくインサートが流体に露出されるように、医療器具内にインサートを配置することを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
