Description
本発明の第1の実施形態では、フッ化カーボンをグラムスケールで製造する好適な方法が提供される。この好適な方法は、フッ素含有アルコール(フッ化アルコールとも称する)とナトリウム金属のソルボサーマル反応を含む。これにより生成されたフッ化カーボンは、超撥水性(超疎水性)及び親油性を示す。
本発明の第2の実施形態では、フッ化アルコールとナトリウムを反応させてフッ化ナトリウムアルコキシドを生成する。この第2の実施形態では、フッ化アルコールとナトリウムとの反応は、フッ化ナトリウムアルコキシドの熱分解を引き起こさない温度(例えば室温)で行う。フッ化ナトリウムアルコキシドを、粉体(例えば、カーボンブラック粉体、無機粒子、金属粉体、金属酸化物粉体など)と混合させるか、または材料(例えば、シリコン、ガラス、金属酸化物、金属など)の表面に堆積させ、次いで、熱的にアニール(即ち分解)してフッ化カーボンを形成する。これを例えば50/50%の水/エタノール混合液中で洗浄すると、材料の表面または粉体が撥水性のフッ化カーボン薄層でコーティングされた複合材料が得られる。
本発明の第3の実施形態では、フッ化アルコールを、粉体(例えば、カーボンブラック粉体、無機粒子、金属粉体、金属酸化物粉体など)と混合させるか、または材料(例えば、シリコン、ガラス、金属酸化物、金属など)の表面に堆積させ、次いで、ナトリウムと反応させた後に、当該反応により生じたアルコキシドを熱分解してフッ化カーボンを生成する。これを例えば50/50%の水/エタノール混合液中で洗浄すると、材料の表面または粉体が撥水性のフッ化カーボン薄層でコーティングされた複合材料が得られる。
以下の実施例は、本発明の説明を目的とするものであり、本発明の限定と解釈されるべきではない。以下の実施例では、全ての化学物質は、供給業者から入手したものを、さらに精製することなく使用した。

- 前記ハロゲンがフッ素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハロゲン化カーボン。
- 当該ハロゲン化カーボンが液体分散媒中に分散されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハロゲン化カーボン。
- 前記液体分散媒がエタノールを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のハロゲン化カーボン。
- 当該ハロゲン化カーボンが別の材料の表面または粉体をコーティングしていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハロゲン化カーボン。
- アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属またはそれらの水素化物とハロゲン化アルコールをソルボサーマル反応させ、前記反応の生成物を熱分解することを含み、前記アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属またはそれらの水素化物と前記ハロゲン化アルコールの前記反応を、前記熱分解を引き起こすのに十分な高い温度で行うことを特徴とする、撥水性及び親油性を有するハロゲン化カーボンの製造方法。
- 前記ハロゲン化アルコールがフッ化アルコールを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属がナトリウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記熱分解によって得られた前記ハロゲン化カーボンを液体分散媒中に分散させる工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記液体分散媒がエタノールを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
