Claims (11)

を備え、前記インナーレース、前記アウターレース、及び前記複数の転動要素のうちの少なくとも1つが、AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材から製造されるモノリシック部品であり、
前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、チタンホウ化物(TiB 2 )のマトリックスを含み、
前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材内のAlMgB 14 とTiB 2 の比率が約1:1である、軸受(100)。 - 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材におけるアルミニウム、マグネシウム、及びホウ素の比率が、x:y:14で表され、ここでx及びyが1未満である、請求項1に記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、金属含有マトリックスをさらに含み、該複数のAlMgB14が前記金属含有マトリックス全体にわたって分散された、複数のAlMgB 14 を有する粒子及び繊維を含有する、請求項1または2に記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記金属含有マトリックスが、III族元素、IV族元素、又はV族元素のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項3に記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、該AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミック複合材の全重量の最大約90%の量で前記金属含有マトリックスを含む、請求項3に記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記セラミックマトリックス複合材が、シリコン窒化物(Si3N4)をさらに含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の軸受(100)。
- インナーレース(104)及びアウターレース(102)を有する軸受組立体(118)と、
前記インナーレースと前記アウターレースとの間に配置される複数の転動要素(106)と、
を備え、前記インナーレース、前記アウターレース、及び前記複数の転動要素のうちの少なくとも1つが、AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材から製造されたモノリシック部品であり、前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、TiB 2 を含有する金属マトリックス全体にわたって分散された、AlMgB 14 を含有する複数の粒子及び繊維を含み、
前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材内のAlMgB 14 とTiB 2 の比率が約1:1である、軸受(100)。 - 前記モノリシック部品が、約5%未満の気孔率を有する、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材におけるアルミニウム、マグネシウム、及びホウ素の比率が、x:y:14で表され、ここでx及びyが約1未満である、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、約1500〜約4500の硬度(Hv)を有する、請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載の軸受(100)。
- 前記AlMgB 14 を含有するセラミックマトリックス複合材が、約0.05未満の摩擦係数を有する、請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の軸受(100)。
